hi, quick simple question, does it come with any headset/phones? on the sony website it mentioned coming with a set. i know its not a massive deal but it comes in handy.
but i've had two units now (sent one back for replacement as it was a bit faulty) and neither had anything in the box. although there was a space in the box which looks like the headphones may have fit.
bought through o2, seems a bit odd that units bought through a certain retailer (for the same money) would be lacking in some of the package.

Mine came with headphones (EE), but like all the mobiles I have owned, I shant be using them. Do your ears a favor and buy some Soundmagic E10's http://www.iheadphones.co.uk/soundmagic-e10-black.html?gclid=CIOuoPLM67kCFTIQtAodYTYArg £26
The headphones that come with mobiles tend to entertain everyone else as well as the wearer...

already got soundmagics. guess i'm making a bigger deal about it than i need to be as i probably wouldnt use unless in case of not having my other ones on hand.
Mine did not come with earplugs.
But I got a dock though, and will be gettin a bluetooth headset anyway.
I got 2 headset... 1 wired and 1 wireless..
I got the premium headset out of the box, bought from Sony store in Berlin.

Yeah it's weird, some comes bundled with headset and no dock, while other has dock and no headset. What is this BS sony? Just give headset and dock in all packages, problem solved.

I know I can order them from hong kong, I just don't want to wait 2+ weeks.
Thanks in Advance,

Where can i buy in-ear earphone for the Note? the one received with the Note got damaged (by me). can not find a similar piece with volume and media (audio) controls. Please guide if these can be bought from some store in Mumbai.
Have you asked in mobile stores or looked on the web?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Yes... I looked up several online Indian sites and equired at leading retail stores. Surprisingly even the most basic accessory with call management system is not available for such an expensive and good phone
Have you spoke to Samsung?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Yes... They too have the answer as 'no'. Very very surprising as the phone is doing quite well in India. Ppl will require genuine accessories
Thats not good.
Have you looked on E Bay?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
I visited ebay.in and found few sellers with the required earphone. But the prices varied a lot and honestly some friends have had issues with products purchased using that site. Though the seller refunds/replaces the product, it is very time consuming process and constant follow up is required. How do these guys have it with them when even samsung retail stores do not, is the question. Anyways thanks for the suggestion.
Because they buy them as Samsung does not seem to be interested.

Hello,
I just got a new Note 3 from the AT&T store and when they brought it out I asked them why it wasn't in the typical Samsung packaging. It was in an AT&T packaging box. Everything was sealed up, etc.
I asked why and they said it was brand new phone but that Samsung doesn't always send the phones in the same packaging.
Seemed pretty strange to me and am worried I got some kind of refurb phone.
Has anyone else seen this before?

As with the Note 2, ATT striped out the samsung box and headphones and used their ugly box instead. I was able to complain to an online chat CSR and got a $30 credit for the missing headphones...YMMV

Mine came in the orange and white AT&T box from Amazon. It did not have headphones however. Those are an accessory according to them.
Its complete BS that they take out the head phones.

And stole our awesome wooden box. Getting a cool box is part of the experience. A plain white and orange one covered in at&t's logo does not cause much excitement.
But then again, as much crap as at&t put on this phone, at least the box makes it obvious who sent the thing.

The box was wooden? Thats cool. Why would they do that? Next thing you know they will take our charger along with the headphones.
AT&T has been repackaging phones for about 5 years now. My Galaxy S II came in that stupid ugly orange and white box.
It's such a shame AT&T has to rape the packaging. When I got my Note III in store, I took the cable, charger, books and told the girl to burn that stupid ugly box and told the manager of the store to kick it up the chain that they need to stop ****ing with the packaging. Not in those words of course.

Just my opinion, but who REALLY cares about the box? Do you have some sort of trophy wall with all the boxes for your phones? (Or is this just something else to complain about?)
BTW, I suspect they tell Samsung at the factory to keep the box and put them in the replacement. With the number that they order it has to cut down on cost a little and shipping weight as well. You don't honestly think they have people at the warehouse unboxing all those phones and then putting them into the generic boxes (and labeling them with all the correct imei info), do you?
But again, this is my personal opinion. I choose to save the outrage for something that truly matters like why I can't find a decent case that properly fits over my wireless charging back? And can I get the back cover in purple?!?

I wish our phones would have come with the box and headphones. It's just another way at&t gets over on their customers. And by its not a trophy thing. Every android device I've purchased came in a cool box. Then the first at&t phone I buy I get robbed for my headphones and my box lol

I think its absolutely ridiculous a corporation as large as AT&T eliminates the Samsung box and samsung earphones. I do not see how this would cost them more money to include the headphones. T-Mobile and Sprint include the earphones and original box. Go figure.
I don't really care about the box all that much, but not getting the headphones is pretty crappy of AT&T. I ordered an S4 for my wife at the same time as my Note 3 and hers came in the Samsung box with brand new headphones. It makes no sense that AT&T decided my Note 3 should not get headphones, while the S4 does.
So I ordered a new Nexus 6 because of a warranty case and after opening the new originally sealed Nexus 6 I found out that there are no earbuds within the package? Also the official Google Website lists the Nexus 6 now without ear pods. But my original ordered Nexus 6 (6 months ago) came with ear pods.
Are there any other changes I should take notice of ?

Nor Sprint.

Mine is about 2 months old from Verizon and definitely didn't have earbuds. Seems crazy since we pay such a premium price for these phones.
I have a box of unused ear buds from several previous devices you can have.
It's all just an illusion
My Nexus came with the type of buds you smoke :cyclops: Must have been the version from a Mountain with a View. Damn hippie programmers, I wanted a Happy Meal instead.

But seriously, I didn't get ear buds either from a Verizon-bought N6.
It's waste in the age of Bluetooth accessories: might as well send a cassette tape for extra storage. The only things wired in my house are appliances, lights, and mechanical bull.
I'm glad I didn't get any crappy generic ear buds with my phone. Have too many of those already (or actually had, they've all gone to electronics heaven)...
Completely agree with @orangechoochoo. If I want to listen to music or use a headset I connect my bluetooth Sennheisers.
I use full-cabled headphones. Bluetooth is old technology. Graneted, not as old as wired, but I find that the sound quality and even volume suffers for me.over Bluetooth.
That said, generic earbuds wouldn't do either.
Got mine from Google Store and got no earbuds!
Bought my Nexus 6 about three months ago from motorola via Amazon. Didn't get any earbuds. I did however get earbuds for signing up with Project Fi.
My plan was to sell the free headphones I got but they're no longer worth the $299. I can probably only get $100? Are they worth it to sell or should I keep it?

They're pretty nice headphones. I figured they're worth more to me than what I'd get from selling plus the work involved.
If you ever fly or commute the noise canceling is great. Sound quality is solid and theyre comfortable. I still use my IEMs most of the time but it's nice to have them.

That's what I was thinking. I might just keep them. As long as they have good sound quality. I'm kind of picky.

I am too. My main pair of headphones are Vsonic GR07s which for sure sound better but the AKG ones are solid and the noise canceling is nice as is the Bluetooth.
I got a pair from Samsung and I put them on eBay for $120 and I had zero bids. I don't know what I'm going to do with them, I already have Bose noise canceling headphones.

I think the gift idea is the way to go. Giving them to your daughter is priceless, especially factoring in what you could get in return from selling them outright.
They actually have a decent sound quality & an optional 3.5 mm connection.
I'd be cool with getting them as a gift, but, in no universe would I plunk down the original MSRP.

I wouldn't buy a 9 year old $100+ headphones, but since they where free, why not. She'll be crazy excited. Now I just have to wait until Christmas...

I was going to put mine on eBay but for $60 (seems to be the going rate) minus eBay and PayPal fees I'll pass. Instead I found a guy who was looking for a new pair of Bluetooth headphones and I sold them for $75.
I switched from some Beats to the AKG ones and I really like them! The sound quality and battery life are awesome! Only thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the fact that they don't stay AS well as the Beats on the head, but minor inconvenience. ?
What is the point in selling them? Just keep them as spares. I purchased another pair from a 3rd party retailer for next to nothing as I wanted another spare set. They are pretty good quality in terms of construction and performance.
After like 2 weeks I finally got someone to buy mine for $99 in OfferUp.
