[Q] Can you apply a skin/theme to Gmail? - G Tablet Themes and Apps

Like the title asks, is there a way to apply a skin or theme to the Gmail client on our gTabs? I'm running VEGAn beta 5.11. It runs great but it looks so blah.
I know there is a way to skin the desktop version of Gmail but I couldn't find anything on applying a skin or theme to the Android version of Gmail.

I don't think so, at least not that I've seen. Then again, I'm no dev either.

Facebook widget for hero?

Hi! I just got the Superhero Beta 2 up and running, and boy is it fast! Well anyways, I was wondering if theres anyone out there willing to give a go at coding a facebook widget? I noticed a tweeter one, but it would be nice to have one that just shows everyone's current status on facebook, and you can scroll down just like the tweeter one. Or is there something I'm missing on hero?

Im running super hero v2, and would like a facebook widget. Twitter widget doesnt seem to work on my end tho

[request] email.apk modification

Ok all-
Here is and email apk that was quasi working on my phone when i was running cog beta8. now with beta9 it doesnt work.
I dont know much about odex/deodex or, well anything. I have attached the email.apk
This is the LATEST from the Cyan series. SWEET benefits with this:
- allows you to sync all mail 9instead of just one month)
- signitures work in both new mail and replys
- replys work
and there are many others. The onyl thing that wasnt working the best when i ran it was when trying to select multiple messages, it would FC, along with sometime randomly deleting the account (forcing you reenter all the info).
it also had black notifications, making it hard for our black notification bar.
NOW, heres the request. I dont know much about altering apks or anything to make this work. I am willing to pitch in and pay for someone to get this email.apk running and stable. I m sure that others will too as this is one of the few issues that have been lingering about the 2.2 beta since day one. I have attached the following:
- email.apk
- icons from the samsung email.apk so they show up better on our black
notification bar
Can someone PLEASE look into this.
Whoever can get this working with get some cash from me for beer money!!!
Thanks in advance!!!

Check out this post. I was experiencing the same issue with beta. I posted the steps for another user, the steps taken to install a custom email.apk. Take a look and see if this will work for you.

[Q] Noob question about the theme of SGS messaging (SMS) client?

I'm coming from WinMo/WP7 to android, and I'm very happy with my purchase of SGS I9000. However there is something that kinda bothers me,
I've tried the stock ROM, Darky's, Ultimate, and a few others, and the annoying thing (for me) is the blue theme and feel of the messaging (SMS) client which is there in almost every SGS' ROM.
I prefer to have the original (plain black) theme of android's messaging client, as I don't really like the black-blue theme of SGS.
Is there any way that i can get the original android's skin back?
(Currently Im using the Darky's 9.5 ROM if its important.)
Many thanks
I think the default AOSP android SMS has a white background, certainly that's what you get in CM7. The MIUI ROM has many different themes but that changes the whole look and feel of android. AFAIK only the stock Samsung SMS has the black screen.

[Q] Skins not working on gingerbread?

After installing the gingerbread update my skins arent working properly. Previously downloaded skins have disappeared and are listed twice in htc hub, one saying installed the other not, and when I apply a skin the browser is no longer themed and has the stock htc look no matter what.
Assuming this wasn't meant to happen, does anybody know what the hell is going on.
