im having some issues with unrooting my I9000
i had a rooted 2.1 eclair device wich i updated to 2.2 now i cant root or unroot it anymore. tried aplying the update.zip wich gave me signature verification error and the one click root/unroot doenst even do anything (unless startup then)
do i need to reset the original firmware back again or is there a solution ?

Did you root it again after you get 2.2? that's why you wanna unroot?? My understanding is that once you flash the firmware, the root is gone too.
nope my phone was rooted when i updated it but after the update apps said that it wasnt rooted anymore, so i tried rooting it again, that didnt work and the kernel version says root so that why i want to unroot, i want root 2.2
solved
installed SuperOneClick root and it worked thanks anyways
Hi. Im having trouble when i try to root my I9000t after kies update to froyo.
Im using Z4root and it doesnt work. When my phone had eclair z4root work fine and my phone was rooted. Before the update i unrooted the phone with the option in z4root.
So what i have to do to root my phone again?
Thanks for your help
Try SuperOneClick, downloadable from XDA, or flash Chainfire's CF Kernel (also available in XDA)

hello
i have few questions that i couldn't find answers for , i hope you can help me
i have a little experience with rooting and flashing custom roms on the HTC G1, and i have been reading about milestone since i bought 1 and i wanna root it and install a custom rom on it ..
first of all , from my experience with the G1 , if there is a mismatch between the SPL and Radio , the cellphone will get bricked . here (for the milestone) i didn't see anyone mentioning those things .. all they say is install openRecovery and then flash etc .. so (just to make sure) isn't there any such threat as the G1's ?
another question is , as i saw in the guides , i need RSD Lite to root the milestone and then install open recovery .. when i rooted my G1 and installed a recovery i used "universal androot" and "ROM manager" from market to root and install recovery (and then continued from the recovery to flash custom rom) , is it possible to do the same for the milestone ?
last question, i live in israel , do i have to do anything special (do something with the radio or anything else) to get my milestone working properly here ?
thanks

1- There is no chance of bricking the Milestone by flashing the wrong radio.
2- You can use Universal And Root to root the Milestone, but ROM Manager WILL brick your phone.
3- What you can do is flash the 2.2 vulnerable recovery from android.doshaska.net/rootable and then put OpenRecovery on your SD Card, and root the phone via OR. After that you flash your custom ROM. I believe there is already an Israel baseband in OR, that you can use to flash in Change Baseband in OR.
