is it confirmed to have audio out thru that port for you?

It's a headphone jack, so yes. I've used it several times for audio books and video. Not to mention that pandora comes stock with the Nook Color.

Just curious, but what else do you think it would it be there for?

You DO realize that even the BN web site confirms that the NC has audio out, right...? Are you just too lazy to do research on your own, or do you not believe what the websites of large bookstores say about their own products?

A 3.5mm headphone jack and and a 3.5mm audio-out jack are the same thing.
I'm sure even the guy you called a noob knows that.

nice of you to point this, and just to be clear, i didnt call him stupid, i called him noob because if he visits these forums here very often, he would have noticed that people come here to ask questions they need answers for, not to get smart *** answers. again, if a question bothers someone, your problem, look the other way and walk away. thats why i called him noob, but im sure that he would learn how to comment with time.

<sigh>
I regret even replying to you.

If you refer to his/her answer as "smartass answer" and call him a "noob", then he/she has the right to rate your question as "stupid" -even though he/she hasn't. You were asking whether a 3.5mm headphone jack supplied audio out. This is similar to asking "does the HDMI port include video". Then, when people took the time to reply and asked what was the reasoning behind your question, you became feisty... You also claimed that you did research it and didn't find it. What did you use to research this information? PBS kids web page?
Please have some perspective before attacking others.

Another pointless reply...

I thought the fact that I was a registered user since 2008 would have some merit - you know, prove that I only make quality posts and use the search feature a lot.
It all worked out in the end though! I'll be on here a lot more begging for people to be on my show, so be nice to me

Yup. And back then you had to register to be able to use the search feature. (Either that or I couldn't find it without registering which could have been a major possibility)
Although with my current phone I may have to start posting more as no one can figure out how to unlock it. (SC-02b - a galaxy s variant that isn't compatible with the unlock programs out there )
Well done!
I saw your demo and I liked it, congratulations
Later when you settle on your new position we could talk about some joint venture

[Q] What happened to that app?

Not too long ago there was an article posted on XDA talkin about a new app for honeycomb. It was suposed to pick up the radio signals from near by phones and decrypt them and allow you to listen in on the calls made from it and also look through the contents of the phone. Now I can't find it anywhere? Can anyone help me with a link to the article or a link to DL the app?

lol yea, i wish i could find it though, seems like it would be fun to play around with, i knew i shoulda downloaded it when i first saw it. well if anyone else happened to see it then let me know
If it was not an April Fools prank then it was almost definitely very illegal.
Listening into other cell phones would fall under wiretap ordinance. It might be a bluetooth hack, which would still be illegal but not as bad, since you are talking about looking through the contents of a phone. Bluetooth (short of a exploit) would not let you look through the phone arbitrarily either though.
Even if this kind of an app was real, why in the world would you install it? Seems like just asking for serious trouble, serious as in jail time serious.

Help me identify an app as well as offer your app suggestions.

Hi! Alrighty, This is my first thread on here and im quite sorry if my question(s) can be answered elsewhere, But unfortunately after a good hour or so of google searching I couldn't find an answer. So I apologize in advance, But on with the point of my thread.
First, Can someone help me identify which app is used in this picture. Im not sure which section of the android market to even begin to start looking for it, It could be in photography, tools, productivity. paid or free.. and I really haven't a clue where to start. So any help would be appreciated.

Edit; Ignore the second portion of this, Just discovered plex read's my itunes library xD.
I think that is the digital pen support the HTC Flyer come with. I would imagine that is not downloadable from the Market.

[Q] Wi-Fi Direct?

After the JellyBean update I've noticed the Wi-Fi Direct option when I try to share a file, have any of you tried it?. There's no specific section in Settings for this feature.
Sorry about my lousy english.

To go to WIFI direct go to Settings, Tap on WIFI - not on on/off button. And on buttom right you will have it. You will need device with same thing, and WIFI router or switch I think. Never tried it.
Edit: Seems that I was wrong about need of an host (router, switch),
Look.
Wi-Fi Direct, previously known as Wi-Fi P2P, is a standard that allows Wi-Fi devices to connect to each other without the need for a wireless access point.[2] This allows Wi-Fi Direct devices to directly transfer data between each other with greatly reduced setup
