From the Eur odin package I believe
What some of us are wondering is if there is any improvement over I9020XXKB1
I think I notice a little better reception....but then again it could all be in my head. There are so many different factors

I'm happily using XXKB3, but YMMV obviously.

i was wondering this too, but I'm a huge fan of having the newest version so I might as well load it anyways
People from USA update radio to kb3! !! New radio picking up reception so fast!!!! And so strong! !! 100% excellent feed back here........(But didn't try to check battery life yet)
paulobrien- thank you!
I also successfully flashed the radio to KB3 using
Code:
fastboot flash radio *kb3.img
There seems to have no more reception/internet weirdness.
There's one thing I just discovered. In Settings -> Call settings -> Call forwarding the entry Always forward says \{0\} when I set up call forwarding to my landline phone.
This is on 2.3.3 GRI40 + radio XXKB3.

Had a request for a Gmail 2.2.1 update zip. The 8/1 Froyo leak and other ROMs include 2.2, so this is an upgrade. Nothing fancy but here it is for anyone who wants an ez-mode upgrade:
(refreshed mirrors)
http://www.multiupload.com/NYJPGOOMIN
http://www.multiupload.com/X9WWYJ29UN
http://www.multiupload.com/0Z93RWWK6P
Just apply the zip as usual. It literally only replaces /system/app/Gmail.apk.
Enjoy.
Is this the same as the one in the 8/1 leak? If not, what's the difference between it and this?

IMO 2.2.1 just runs smoother (ie. no lag when you hit the "show pictures" button) and I like that the reply button is right at the top.

You've got two options to fix this. First and preferred, upgrade to a ROM based on the 8/1 leak. There are several ROMs to choose from which you can find in this forum.
Alternatively, if you just want a quick fix for most of the bugs associated with the 7/27 leak, use my patch, which addresses most of the glaring bugs with that build:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=738799
The problem with the 2.2.1 is that some folks have seen garbage, and of course the 0 in emails sent out....
LOVE to see this fixed, because I thought it looked a little nicer, but still just running Gmail.apk 2.2

Fix to Get Rid of the MMS Notification in your Call Logs
Apologies about the brief post earlier today, was at work and a bit of a hurry. Here is a more detailed method.
This was created from the JS5, i9000 source, but has been confirmed to also work on JS7 and KB1.
This will not remove exisiting notifications, but will stop new ones from popping up.
I do not take credit for the original fix, my source is listed below.
Clockwork Flashable zip file below to apply this fix, the steps are listed because I was asked for the process, but if you just want the mod, just flash the file at the bottom of this post.
This assumes you have knowledge of apkmanager or apktool to decompile the apk's, and notepad++ or another way to compare and edit the smali's. Those are lessons for another thread.
I happened upon this thread this morning over in Vibrant Q&A: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=988929
Which led me here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853177 (Go Hit mammon88's thanks button)
-Grab the LogsProvider.apk from the Epic thread, second one linked, and decompiled using apkmanager.
-Move that file somewhere else, maybe even rename the folder, you won't need it again, and it will be the example folder/files.
-Take the LogsProvider.apk from your rom, and decompile with apkmanager or similar program.
-Inside the decompiled apk, using the one in the apkmanager folder here, not the Example Folder, browse to \smali\com\sec\android\provider\logsprovider, and open the LogsProvider.smali with notepad++ (that what I recommend using)
-Now from you Example Folder, drag the corresponding smali file to notepad++, and it will be in a new tab.
-In notepad++, hit Plugins->Compare->Compare, and the differences in the files are highlighted.
-Recreate the edits in the example to your main file, and save.
-Recompile the apk being sure to delete the classes.dex in the process.
These steps may/will work for comparing and editing other files, but be cautious. I didn't go in blindly and say "Eureka" on the first differences I saw. I compared every smali and xml, being cautious in editing, and got lucky on my first shot. Thankfully this apk only has a handful of smali files, first one I've ever decompiled that had less than 40. If you follow my steps, don't hold me responsible if it doesn't work, especially if you failed to make a backup.
The zip below is flashable via Clockwork Recovery. Backup as always, cause hey, it happens.
*Hits the thanks button when I get home*

Thats interesting. I thought that Bionix 1.3.1 was KB1 (Android 2.2) based. Well hell, as long as it works, although be on the lookout for the odd issue or two, as this was sourced from the European i9000 JS5 port, and is all I've tested it on. Thx for the confirmation.

have to use version 2.0 and not the older 1.2 of Check Fus. Version 2.0 has an advance menu which then decrypts the downloaded file.
That being said, the issue is moot as I just checked and the most recent downlad there is KI1, no KI2 for the 7510 as yet.
And Dutch Danny has just posted a KI2 rom for the wifi version -- problem solved

Well I have flashed this over previous KI1 - and got a bootloop - startup animation was playing again and again - so had to go to recovery and do a factory reset. After that everything started to work properly. However factory reset deleted everything that was on internal storage - program settings, photo/video etc.
Regarding new firmware - it looks that it keeps more free RAM, so things like starting apps etc seem to be a bit faster. Scrolling of homescreens, however, seems to be less smooth than on KI1. Also one annoying bug in Gallery remains - when opening picture it opens blurry, and you have to zoom it a little so it will redraw and look crisp.

No he was talking about having to wipe and transfer again but you didn't have to wipe even coming from 4.3 I flashed everything with fastboot without flashing userdata all the time

Is there a download link to the 1.4 mb file?
Dammit, it takes a long time to copy over my music collection every time. Maybe I'll just keep the userdata partition this time.

Ok.. this I never tested on the original image - in a full screen app/game, were you able to pull down the notification menu like on N5?
Or is that now just with the updated image?
It's said some bug has been fixed?I wonder which bug it is,maybe flashable zip will coming soon, and try it out by person.

Ok good, great feature but I didn't run the original image long enough to think of trying it, since I just updated to this new one
Just trying to see if anything was added is all.. hah
Don't see anything different yet, and I wasn't experiencing any issues prior to this that I was aware of either, so time will tell
There is a slight change with the kernel version and it shows a more recent date below it. So maybe some change in the kernel.

If it's just APN settings changes, then I'm curious as to why my WiFi Nexus 7 2012 just got the OTA? Must be something more to it than just APNs, or I can't see why Google would bother updating their wireless Nexus devices...
