Hi there,
The Nvidia Tegra Zone application is now available for download from the market. You can get it from here:
https://market.android.com/details?i...idia.tegrazone
Nvidia site:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/tegra-zone.html
So exciting... all this clamoring about "teh Honeycreams", I've been looking forward more to Tegra Zone. I'd rather have tablet and Tegra optimized applications and games than a Tablet OS that doesn't yet really have any tablet applications.
Downloading Monster Madness now!
Nice, I've been checking every few days for it to be released. I guess the time I spent waiting before will be spent playing some of these THD games.
Any free games?
Any free games or all pay to play? I will check later tonight when I am home, but was just wondering if there where any trials or lite versions.

Doesn't look like it from what I can see here. But it is cool, not just games but news articles on Ausi, Tesla....pretty sweet and a good way to see what's in the pipeline.
I don't get the hoopla about this site. It's not like you can install any games off of the site directly. The app still has to show up in your Market for you to download it (unless you're a sideloader - you know who you are ).
Showed up in my market. Running Vegan 5.1.
No lite or demo's - fruit ninja is the cheapest at 2.99
I guess its focused more towards gamers, rather than the casual fan.

I started playing it today and it is f***ing awesome so far.
Wondering if anyone has played or tried the game as well?
It comes highly recommended
Couldnt find it on the market. But its a great game, more then willing to pay for it. If only i could....
If you see paid other apps in Market and you can't find this game, it's probably because you're running Android 1.5 and you need Android 1.6+.
im running 1.6 and i get 0 search results for zenonia in the market app, and yes i have other paid apps, on the other hand i installed it from the blapk market and it works just fine....
After a few minutes playing it, the game doesn't seem to be that great tbh. No keyboard controls, which is a huge downside for me. Plus, you already have tons of emulators on Android, what makes this better than full roms?

Give it a few more minutes itll grow on you.
The developers want to mainstream the game, not just cater to us. Most newer android phones are all touch screen remember.
This game is brand new, its not from yesteryear like the games the emulators run.
The storyline, gameplay and controls are excellent and as the reviewers have mentioned they have already been more than satisfied with the game.
Is it only me or the game is still not up on the US market? I'm using Market Enabler to access the US T-mobile Market. Can someone help me with this?
Ended up finding a dl for it, but i cant install because im running out of space? it doesnt look like im running out of space anywhere though when i check my phone's internal storage. (SD card has 7 gb free..)

Phew.... for a moment, I thought I was the only one.
Got it working...turns out i actually didnt have enough space -_-...i thought 36 mb would be enough for a 9mb .apk....just deleted some useless apps and now it works great. still dont know why it doesnt show up in market though
SEE THE GAME TRAILER HERE ---->> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrsYbeVV0wM
Gamevil has noted (check their twitter) the problem and promises to find a workaround for it or to post it at Handango or something. For those who are support the devs, we just need a bit more patience
I'm running the latest version of CyanogenMod with an ext 2 partition on my sd card and I had no trouble installing it.
Not that far into it, but I suspect it may make a lot of bus journeys go quicker.
I think this is the 2nd best game on the G1 for people who thought Final Fantasy 6 (3 in the US) was the best of the series.
Best rpg on android! It run well on my g1
A very good RPG for the android.
I just wish the movement controls on my Droid were not so sensitive.
Gamevil has solved the problem It is now on the market. Go support Android devs people!

Confirmed! Currently available on the market and YES I agree lets support the devs..
So where are all these games that are supposed to show off all the new and amazing hardware in this phone?
I see need for speed shift and tetris trials on here and the NFS looked pretty good but I'm not that into racing games to drop $10 on it.
So I went searching through the marketplace and I didn't find anything of note.
The emulators are exciting but what else is there? Anything?
Gameloft makes some pretty games (Sandstorm, N.O.V.A,etc). Try those.
i've got a lot to learn. i haven't seen any of these on the marketplace. is there a lot of software not on the marketplace or is it just games?

Kinda, a few of gameloft's are on Market like Asphalt 5 [IMO better game than NFS] but many are just one their website: here Then they send you a text and you get a DL link and away you go. Most DL's are around 100mb give or take
Today i was looking at the market and realized. Why doesn't the android market have really good games like the apple app store? I have an iPod touch and I use that like my gaming/music device and my phone as a social device?
Anyway I got tired of having to carry both so I got the question of why android doesn't have so many good games..
Is android not that popular right now?
Really good apple app store games I like are stuff like real racing 2, Madden NFL 2011, and etc.... is android going to gets these soon?
Sent from my phone
it will depend how popular android will be. i believe more games will be on android platform, just matter of time.

The problem is that with android, developers can now run their own markets instead of having to rely on android market for distribution. That means You'll have to go to each developer (Gameloft, EA, etc) and buy from them directly. It sucks that games Real Racing 2 and Dead Space aren't on android yet, but stuff like GT Academy, Dungeon Defenders, and HAWX will tide you over till the big AAA titles finally get ported.
Edit: At least we get Angry Birds for free
One other factor could be that Android fans don't fork out cash like Apple fans do. Android fans persistently pursue free solutions where Apple fans might give in easier.
Free is what XDA has been all about for years. I have never paid for an app out of my pocket.

Whenever I go to the ea website it says there are no games for your phone. Is this because I'm running a gt i9000 rom?

Are there any other sites like ea sports and gameloft that don't have apps in the market but have them on their own?

checked tegra zone and it said that it was due for release April 2011... just found this sitting around on the market a few hours ago... and it's only 0.99 usd!! the only problem is that it's telling me that it's not compatible w/ my gtab running vegan b5.1. anyone else care to try w/ a different rom or is it just me having this issue?
Requires 3.0+ and it looks to be a subscription bases so it will cost you more then 1 doller
wtf?!? i can't believe i missed that on the description... i might regret saying this a bit later but here goes... GOD I HOPE GTAB ALREADY GETS HONEYCOMB AS THE UPCOMING GAMES ROCK!! *bow*
just read through the description again... it does state that the android version will get exclusive content... one of which allows playing on "free offline" mode -meaning we can still play even if we don't subscribe! of course, half the fun of this game is actually going online and playing with and against other people.
"Although the game is available for Mac, Windows and Linux (all versions play within the same galaxy), the Android version includes several exclusive benefits:
- Single-Player "Free Play" mode: after completing the tutorial, a free-play sandbox sector becomes available, letting you perfect your flying technique and enjoy minigames while offline. This feature will be expanded in future patches, and will permanently be available to anyone with the game installed, regardless of whether they ever choose to subscribe. Enjoy!"
i read somewhere that its a 16 day 1 hr per day demo of the online mode not a full free online mode
I can seem to download it either btw.. going to have to try to get the apk by beta mode from the vendetta forum.
Not just 3.0
It says froyo or better required and states requires android 2.2 and up. So if you can find a way to get the apk then you are ok. I can't get it from android market on my browser because incompatible device is mentioned but it says that about all apps for my gtab and archos 101. Its also not listed on the market on any of my devices so I just have to wait until it is. Looking forward to trying it out.
System requirements and recommendations:
- NVIDIA Tegra-based tablet, 7-inches or larger, preferably running Android Honeycomb (Froyo or better required), such as the Motorola Xoom.
- We recommend 500MB of free SD space. The game itself uses about 250MB, but also self-updates and patches itself outside of the Android Market, so additional free space is advised.
- We suggest installing over Wifi (for the large download), but playing the game itself should use relatively little bandwidth, and works well over most 3G networks. As always, you are responsible for monitoring your own bandwidth usage.

I don't see it on TegraZone
I've read on some websites that they are about to release Vendetta for Tegra soon but I don't see it in the TegraZone app. What I do see is Galaxy on Fire 2. It looks pretty sweet and I can wait another week to get it.
But if you're really wanting Vendetta then a quick Google search for "Vendetta Online apk" gave me several sites with links to the file though.
I don't know about you guys but I personally don't mind waiting for another week to get legit stuff (if we can get it on our gTabs). Who knows what sort of trouble you're inviting into your gTab if you grab one of the pirated ones on the web.
A little bit of caution goes a long way...
I've got it on my G Tab running Ginger Vegan over a week ago. It just shows up toward the top under paid games.
Haven't done the subscription, so all I've really had access to is the training missions. When you sign up you do get a a free 16 day subscription, so will try that sometime in the future. Graphics aren't bad, controls take a little getting used to. Only having 2 touch points does make it a bit of pain at times, but is fixable using the g sensor to steer instead of virtual joystick.
Also has an option for alternet inputs and key mappings, so keyboard may work.
Haven't seen any exclusive content yet, but waiting for some real off line missions to play.
Just resurrecting this thread. Vendetta online is now free in the market. Not only that they promise that itnwill remain free without any subscription costs at all. Check it out.
The only issue im having right now is that the graphic for the space ships arent rendering correctly. I cant see the features of my ship or anyone elses.
Anyone else experience this?
Scott
It's unavailable in the market for Vegan-Tab 5.1. Thank God for Google....
I don't always keep the best track of stuff, but when I woke up I found an email saying that today Peggle was free for download. I went to the page then tried to "buy it" via the amazon appstore app on my coom and got an incompatible error. But, I didn't give up, no, I just "bought it" from the site and when it showed up in the download area on my amazon appstore app I downloaded it and it installed and is working as well as plants vs zombies on my Xoom.
I can confirm that the method OP used, does in fact work. Was getting the same incompatible device message, and getting it through the website worked. Was able to "buy" Peggle and then it showed up in the downloads on my Xoom.

Not as of now. For now it is sadly only Amazon appstore exclusive.
Thanks, work for me to (purchase from the web and install from the amazon app)!
Where do you purchase from the web? What's the website.
I must be spoiled because I'm already craving a THD version. Looks too blurry to me

I wouldn't mind a THD version, but to be the graphics are good enough expecially for a game I got for free, but to be honest I am hoping they just update like the maker of angry birds did instead of us having to "buy" the game again...
Actually, to be honest I find this to have better graphics then PvZ which is odd bc Amazon said that PvZ was good with Tabllets and that Peggle wasn't
PVZ graphics are way better. At least the version I have. The game is fun though. Thanks OP for the trick to make WIFI downloads work. The game is fun and takes me back to my Shenmue days when I would spend a lot of time playing a similar game.
I was able to install from the appstore app on xoom just by trying a few times. Works perfectly.
