Ipod Wallpaper - Android Themes

Hoping someone out there with PS/Gimp ninja skills would be willing to create an Ipod wallpaper(480x800) with a large enough window that would fit a doubletwist widget...

For your phone or computer
Do you want a photo editor to use on your phone or your computer, because there are 2 cool ones for your phone, and they work well, and that is from a person who used to make his living with photoshop back starting in the days before layers.
They are Pocket artist, which is photoshop on your phone
and
Photogenics which is more a creative art applied to photos app.
Both have painting, so painting and drawing on your phone is a real thing...
Soon, phone art shows...
The drawback of both programs is they cost a fair amount of bread, but they work, my only complaint is that Photogenics needs a regular undo in addition to their unique work-flow.
I would love to see a version of Gimp on windows mobile.
cheers

Art Designer looking to team up...

Howdy. I am a big-time G1 fanatic, and I also happen to be a semi-professional graphics designer with too much time on his hands. Admittedly, I don't know a thing about programming for the G1, but what I can provide are art assets - specifically, in addition to icons and UI elements, I am really interested in designing and producing art elements for widgets. I am a big home screen aesthetic nerd, and I decided that since there are so few really good looking widgets, why couldn't I just help out?
So - if you got some cool ideas about widgets and need someone to work on the design with you, feel free to email me - armonse at gmail dot com, put the word widget in the subject.

Are there any live wallpapers that do this...?

Have objects in the wallpaper change perspective as you scroll your screens left or right. Like in this vid for example.
See how all the hills in the back scroll at different rates to help give that 3D depth perspective? It would be nice to have objects (like the turtles and shrooms) moving in the foreground too.
I actually want a live wallpaper that looks just like super mario bros wii, with moving backgrounds and all.
It's hard to develop, hard to play with, and icons and widget won't help you to play. The best solution is to download a super mario bross game in the market, I don't know if it already exist but it should
A game is not what i want, i want a live wallpaper that looks like the game, if you know what i mean? I want no interaction with it beyond the change in perspective when i scroll between screens.
It doesnt have to be mario bros either, it can be anything where the objects on the wallpaper scroll at different rates to give that change in perspective.
It's called parallax scrolling. It's already in some LWPs like Silhouette but not quite in the way you're referring to.
So, yeah it definitely could be done, but as far as I'm aware hasn't yet.
Parallax Scrolling... cool, thanks.
I just found a live wall paper that appears to use it, MaryJane, from the marketplace.
The leaves in the foreground and middleground move independantly of each other and from the background as well. Looks really cool... if you dont mind the type of leaves being used.
Now, if only someone would make one that mimics mario bros wii.
Yep. The MaryJane LWP is from the same group that did Silhouette.
The parallax scrolling technique was used heavily by Nintendo back in the day, as well as the PC demoscene. I'm willing to bet they pulled it out for SMB Wii as a sort of homage to the oldschool days.
Anyways, I vote that YOU start working on a LWP featuring PS in the SMB style (holy initialisms). The concept is simple enough.
thats how you play mario

Click to collapse
I have no coding experience and wouldnt know where to start.
Someone just released a sweet live wallpaper with mario playing in the background... not exactly what i wanted, but still pretty cool.

Anyone a artist that uses chalk?

Weird question I know but I had an idea for a ninja app. I found a wallpaper online that a guy who does art work with chalk and was drawing on a sidewalk. I was wondering if anyone would mind helping me make a ninja app. The idea is to design a wallpaper and having a design using app labels on a sidewalk or something with good texture. I will attach an image in a bit to give you an idea of what I was thinking.

[Q]movie widget

Any such thing? Would be nice having a widget that displays movie box art in a scrollable grid, tap and it plays the movie. Sounds simple and I'm surprised no one made one yet. The screens big enough and the tegra 2 is powerful enough to even have the box art show a clip of the movie with a quick tap or double tap.
yea, it would be nice. lol
I'd quite happily pay for a pretty one.
2nd this
3rd this, wish i could build apps
I may consider making this. Im currently working on another widget/app for xoom but this sounds like a nice project to look into next.
Macbots drool as I XOOM through the Galaxy to my hearts Desire.
