I think I flashed an outdated superuser so I can no more boot my phone.
Is there a way to restore the stock boot ?
What do you mean it doesn't boot? Like pressing power doesn't turn on the phone at all? Or that it gets stuck at the X screen? Reboot phone while holding down the VOL DOWN key and the POWER BUTTON. Select erase user data. That should put you back to stock. If not, download this http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...le_WWE_2.16.1700.1_FRG33_MFG_Shipment_ROM.zip
And rename it PASSIMG and place it on the Root of your SDcard (not in a folder, just drag it to your phone's SDcard). Boot again the same way as before, holding down VOL DOWN and POWER. After it verifies the file, it will ask you to if you want to apply the PASSIMG. Hit VOL UP for yes and enjoy
If still under warranty and Bootloader Locked, call HTC Support for swap/repair.

So I wasn't paying a lot of attention while I was flashing to Cyanogen ROM and accidentally hit the update.zip (google apps) before installing Cyogen Mod. I looked up and then looked down then the phone vibrated and it was rebooting.
When the phone loads it attempts to get into a setup mode which just spams a force-close for process.gaps and com.android.setupwizard.
When I hit volume down + power and go into recovery it just gives me the android logo and an exclamation point. I've tried doing clear storage and that doesn't fix the problem. I was consistently getting the Exclamation point in the recovery image from ROM Manager, but going in and flashing to the alternate and back fixed it. I just can't get into the vanilla android OS right now.
Anyone have any ideas on what I could do to get out of this loop?
PASSIMG.zip
You can try the passimg method-
1. download a stock image and rename it PASSIMG.zip
2. Place the file on the root of your sd
3. Power off your phone, then turn it on by holding VolDown and pressing Power
*It will start up in HBOOT mode and will prompt you to flash the PASSIMG.zip update
Install a custom recovery first (Amon_ra being my preferred recovery) . Then flash what you want.

This worked. Thanks for the tips! Without this forum people like me, who know only enough to be dangerous, would be totally screwed.
was using my nexus one as i was switched it off removed the sim card from this phone placed it in another phone... left my nexus one on charge and turned it on left the room when i got the vibrate didnt even saw wether it was completly on or not... came back home saw the phone off... tried to turn it on but it wouldnt.... then connected the charger to the phone then turned it on and it shows a X and a unlocked sign at the bottom stays for a while and then the screen gets black and the same thing happens over and over again
Its going in a reboot loop I think.
Try going into the bootloader by pressing the trackball and power button together.
and then enter bootloader and then recovery.
In the recovery select reboot.
Btw do you have a nandroid backup?
I do have a backup lying around somewhere but i'm not sure of that. And i tried that boot loader thing but when i go to that menu as soon as i press the volume - button the phone boots off again
did you try the 3 finger:
pwr/vol-/trkball at same time may take up to 20 seconds to boot into bootloader
or, may need to use fastboot from command terminal and flash new recovery/rom like passimg to go back to stock then upgrade from there
pass image method is in wiki
Try this:
- Press the power button and the trackball together
- Select Bootloader and then Recovery
- Flash a different ROM (Stock\CM\MIUI\or try flashing again your current rom)
- If it doesn't work, flash a new rom AND wipe data and cache
So I installed a TWRP RECOVERY a Motorola RAZR i, using the Flash Tool.
It installed but I could never access it from the POWER VOLUME UP & DOWN method.
So I had to turn the phone on and enable USB Debugging then use ADB to reboot into recovery via the Flash Tool.
Then I was working on a PORT when I flashed a ROM, it went into bootflop, now I cannot get into the BOOTLOADER at all.
It never works, it will show the normal warning sign and then just go straight to the ROM.
I tried using RSD with an SBF File but it did not work, as I have to be in fastboot and I cannot be in without going into the bootloader.
Is there no hope for this device...
I have the feeling that twrp isn't flashed right. U did use fastboot?
For the bootloop. Hold volume down the whole time when it boots/bootloops, it will boot in ap flashmode (fastboot). Maybe u need to stop pressing the button after the first restart(when holding the volume down button) at the moment u get the warning.
Easily recoverable, just need some trying with the above way.

My method to come into fastboot-mode while having a bootloop:
1. when in bootloop press all buttons (power, VolUp, VolDown) and keep pressed
2. when screen goes off, leave the VolUp button alone, keep VolDown and Power pressed.
3. when phone vibrates, leave power alone and keep VolDown pressed
4. the bl-unlock-warning shows up and after a few seconds you should be in fastboot-mode
5. now you can leave VolDown alone
Maybe you need some tries, cause its a question of timing, but for me it works.
Thanks...

what are you using to reboot into recovery?
here's the failsafe way to access recovery:
power off the phone, press and hold volume down + power for a few seconds then release to access bootloader menu. press volume down to highlight recovery, then volume up to select it.

strange, are you unlocked and using twrp/cwm or locked and using slapmymoto? if you're unlocked, i'd recommend reflashing twrp/cwm recovery image, sounds like it may be corrupt. if you're locked, i can't help as i haven't messed with any of the locked device stuff.
im on a locked device, used slapmymoto, thanks for trying, can anyone else help?
Why do you need to be in recovery. You should have write protect off already. If you are trying to flash something you can't without safestrap and the zip needs yo be made for safestrap. Just manually move the emails and change the permissions

Press Power + Volume Up at the same time when it shows "no command" (And if that doesn't work try Power + Volume Down )

If the button presses while rebooting to get to where you can select recovery doesn't work... You could try Quick Reboot -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.siriusapplications.quickboot to reboot into recovery, or open a command prompt on your PC.. and issue the command.. adb reboot bootloader then pick recovery from there.. If those ways also error with that same message you are seeing now, then your phone doesn't has a problem with its recovery partition.
As others have said, if you are rooted with Write Protection disabled (SlapMyMoto v1 thread tells you to run MotoWPNoMo first, to disable write protection, then follow its process), you should be able to go in, rename the old APK, and replace it with the new one (and set the attributes the same) without needing to be in recovery.
Then again, if you rooted with SlapMyMoto .5 (before the MotoWPNoMo was available), or you never did the MotoWPNoMo process that would explain why you want recovery... you're trying to boot to "recovery" so that you can boot with the Write Protection disabled so you can make this change.

Power off your Moto X
Next, boot into bootloader mode by holding Volume Down and Power
At the bootloader screen, use Volume Down and scroll to Recovery, then press Volume Up to select it
Once you rebooted into recovery mode you will see No Command. Hold Volume Up and press Power to show the recovery menu

That almost didn't work for me, till it did.
I was holding down volume up first, and about half a second to a second later the power button (while not having released volume up button). That didn't work.
I pressed both buttons exactly together, and it worked.
My Motorola Atrix Hd won't boot up every time I turn the phone on the m logo shows up then goes to the recovery screen that have a red triangle their and stay their for a wild then goes back to the m logo how do i fix the problem
If it keeps going to recovery, you could try wiping cache and Dalvik to see of that happens. If this doesn't help, you may need to wipe the data partition too. If that doesn't help, you may have to re-flash the stock ROM.

how do i wipe the data partition
When you boot your phone, it goes right to the dead android all the time? If it does, that is recovery mode. I think you press the volume up key, select the option to wipe data, and reboot.
Special boot modes
Recovery: Hold Volume Down & Power simultaneously.
Bootloader: Hold Volume Up Volume Down & Power simultaneously. On the next screen use Volume Down to scroll to bootloader and then use Volume Up to select.
Fastboot: Hold Volume Up Volume Down & Power simultaneously. On the next screen use Volume Down to scroll to bootloader and then use Volume Up to select.

i did that but the phone is still doing the same thing
What ROM was your phone running? Does it have an unlocked bootloader? Did this happen after you did something to the ROM?
I am also have startup problems.
I manually restarted my phone and it fell into a black screen. No logo motorola. I made all [power + volume (+, -)] => My phone booted into normal.
The cause of this problem?
Since I have a problem I did not start that way anymore: Power -> Reboot
Instead I just power off.

i wasn't using a rom i was actually trying to install one, and the bootloader is locked
Try flashing a rom using rsd lite.
