Hey just wanted to give heads up
My O2 branded Sim Free HD7 just got a notification.
So maybe the rest will follow?
Weirdly got the notification at the same times as my Omnia 7 did
lucky you?
was the notification thru the phone or over zune?
me usa tmobile hd7.still not get any message for update??!any one?
Still waiting on the update here, T-Mobile HD7. I really hope T-Mobile aren't going to be withholding updates in the future.
I think MS should let the carriers test but give them a deadline (short one) during which they must say what's wrong and then MS can fix it.
Here's hoping it comes soon.
Hello,
My O2 UK unlocked HD7 received yesterday the update
Waiting now for NoDo...
Thanks,
José Santos
Annoying.... my O2 UK HD7 still hasn't got anything

Really? I got my update this morning. I'm also O2 UK. Still trying to figure out what has change. Anyone has a list of the changes?
I got a notification on the phone. Once I got it on Omnia I checked my hd7 and it was there don't worry anyway. You wouldn't see the slightest difference in day to day operations.
Sent from my OMNIA7 using Board Express
Which version of the update are we having fun ? 7008 ?
Just got my update after plugging in and firing up Zune.
Strangely, it only took less than 5 minutes. I thought there was meant to be 'backup phone' stage that takes ages. I have loads of apps and several gigs of music.
Anyone else have the same experience?
Yeah aprox 5 mins it took. Its 7008 =] what other update?

Hello,
It happens to me too.
My update took 5 or 10 minutes maximum.
Some corrections that MS made in the update??
Thanks,
Santos
I don't know if the speed is worrying or reassuring!

Lol why would it be? Everything on my phone seems to be working well after anyway
It would worry me if the update process was skipping the backup part of the update.
This one went OK but what if something goes wrong during future updates?
If that happens i give up hope on MS and go buy an iPhone
even though i dont like apple
Yep, my UK O2 branded HD7 just got the update too, cant wait for the NoDo update
I got my O2 Branded HTC HD7 updated last night, running on Vodafone...
did not get a message that it needed an update though I just pluged the phone in and left it for an hour or so to sync all my music and came back after 1 hr saying there was and update need and it did not sync my music but it did up-date my Phone

There really isnt any O2 crapware on the phone. Just the boot logo
You can change the browser search engine via a registry fix

Spoke to Orange today about ordering the new 3G data card and we got onto the subject of the M2000 and I asked when it was coming out, as it is always saying "Coming Soon" on the site. He explained that Orange withdrew it and are waiting for HTC to fix a major bug with it. The bug is when the battey is completely flat all data on the device is erased.
He doesn't know when this will be made available, but should be "soon". I wonder if the XDA IIs have the same problem.

I think HTC has already released that patch. By the way is available in the Extended ROM I have posted here for SVP M2000
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=15924
I the patch is this one and it should solve the battery problems.
ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/OEM_BA_11230401_WWE.sa.CAB
It's availbale in their own internal ROM but they're not able to give it to their customers.
C'est bien ça France Telecom ))))
I called orange upgrades, they claim to have the handset, but they are reserved only for business customers.. and offered to put me through to the correct dept to discuss account change then do the upgrade!

Did you follow thorugh on this? Are you able to and how much would you have to pay. My phone is on its last legs and ive been waiting for ages to get my hands on one of these buggers...
No, business talk plans gost more, and in comparison you get less, so i'd rather stay on a personal account which i can still put through the company books
also i am only 6 months through a contract with a blockia
I bought a sim free pda2k

Well I got my M2000 first week of December, a free upgrade on a Talk 30 plan which I barely use. I switched SIM's with my main phone on my business account, couldn't believe my luck in getting it free
My g/f got her M2000 the same day, cost me £114.99 for it, on her 120 min normal online contract. She never tried the "well I can get one from O2 for £xxx...." trick to get it cheaper like I did.
I think it all depends what operator you get when you call Orange.
SVP M2000 loosing data after battery drain
I have had my M2000 for about two weeks now, its the second one I have had as the first one just seemed to have constant bluetooth errors. :x
The new one I have updated the Bluetooth to build 3500 from this site and installed Fax from one of the ROMs on the site.
Orange have also told me that the phone was only for business customers, they also told me that it had been discontinued and that it had major bugs. BOLLOCKS to them, they do not even respond to email and I have been a customer for 4 - 5 years. Most of the reps dont know what they are talking about, even worse are the tech support people. :x
On to a positive note!!
I think its fantastic, I had a SE P900 before and I loved that phone but this is great, I can run my CoPilot Live 5 GPS software on it and connect to my wireless network, internet, play games, marvelous.
hi there
i have a touch diamond that was got from holland , unlocked and unbranded
rom version 1.35.401.3 WWE
using the Meteor pre pay network
last week the when making calls the person at the end of the line can not hear a thing im saying
anything I can do to fix this ?
step by step guides ?
thanks
Joe
Wooo! Another Diamond user in Ireland!
I'm also on Meteor pre-pay, but I have a Diamond from the UK (1.37.405.1 WWE). I've had no problems with calls or texts or anything...apart from mobile internet.
The built-in connection settings for Meteor are just wrong. They don't work at all. The WAP settings are available elsewhere on the internet, but I've managed to acquire (after confusing Meteor customer care quite a lot, because they've obviously never even heard of HTC) working mobile internet settings. The only problem is that their prices are ridiculous (2c per KB)...but at least I can check emails and the weather if I really need to.
If anyone wants the proper Meteor mobile internet settings, just ask (or phone customer care...and be prepared for a long conversation).
Oh, getting back to the original problem, have you tried your device on any other network? I would really doubt that the problem is Meteor-specific, because I've never had any problems using HTC devices on Meteor. BTW, aren't the new pre-pay deals really cool? Not sure about that magic mobile genie though...
Alright lads! Where did you get your Diamonds? and for how much? I'm trying to bring one into Ireland, cheapest way?
I would also hazard a guess that it's a phone specific problem, have you tried flashing a different rom?
Meteor Pre Pay here btw... I'm signed up to the 3G test, I get free 3G till the end of August! woohoo! They'll have PAYG deals when they release to the public in October.
i got it from Capti-lux in hollands airport, phone is great like but need to sort out why people cant hear me on it though ! ha
i ever bothered with the internet settings for it as i use the wireless when needed for emails etc , and the 3g will be out in october

This may be just me, but I would try upgrading the radio. I've had the same issues with some of my other htc phones and it always fixed it for me.
I am on Vodafone and no problem with HTC DT on 3G in Galway. I have flashed it with a Diamond Project ROM including the latest radio and had to fix the access point to hs.vodafone.ie
Got mine on Ebay this week from all4ustore_lv for €450, paid last Friday, got delivered this Tuesday! Scary part is the insurance, it shipped as a memory module with value of £50. If you are a frequent visitor to Paddy Power then I suppose you can take this gamble too...

The cheapest way to get a Diamond is probably to get one from eBay or the UK. Some websites don't like delivering to random countries though, so you might have to physically go to a shop if you don't like the eBay. I wonder if they're available in Northern Ireland - I can't see any reason for them not being available there...
3G test! I heard about that, but as I'm only in Ireland erratically I've never really investigated it. I'm here for a while now though - how did you sign up to the 3G test? On 3G do they still charge that crazy 2c per KB? Also, how good is the 3G network (coverage, speed, etc.)?

Flashing in 2 steps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408621
hardspl 1.24
ROM of your choice such as:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407572
Direct download link:
http://duttythroy.net/downloads/ind...DiamProject_V2_5.2.19965_Radio_1.00.25.06.zip
Follow the instructions and backup anything important.
Ordered the Diamond from the UK the day it was released. Upgraded the rom to Dutty's Diamond Project and it works a treat. On O2 network and getting a Gig a month for €15 so thats pretty good. After Flashing with Dutty's ROM I have freed up about 20% more memory so it runs much smoother.
ok ill try and do that over the weekend , thanks all
ok iv seem to have got it working now again

Is that on some kind of contract?
1GB would cost €20,971.52 on Meteor.
Irish guys, Expansis have some cheap Diamonds as "B" stock, and having just returned from W.Cork visiting me Dad, I recommend TomTom7 to you, the Irish maps are spot on. Wish I was there now.

Isn't the "B" stock all of those returned grey imports from HK? Thanks for the tip about TomTom7 in Ireland.
Hey lads, living in the south and I've ordered the Diamond, should have it in a few days.
Up until now I've been using an old Acer n310 (WM5 and no phone capabilities and linked via bluetooth to a GPS module) with iGo 2006 (for about a year) and iGo8 (for the last 2 months). I've been trying TomTom 6 on and off. My job involves driving all around Munster and the iGo maps are far better to the TomTom 6 maps; more complete in terms of small roads, and more road and townland labelling. Also higher accuracy. So I'll be using iGo8 on the Diamond too. I definitely recommend it.
I'd been connecting the Acer to my bluetooth phone to use the internet and get my emails. I'm on O2 billpay and 250mb is €7.50 a month, which is great value. So the Diamond will mean one device instead of 3 for getting my emails, making calls, and navigating around the place.
Isn't there an issue that using alternative ROMs will cause the AGPS to stop working?
TomTom 6 uses the older navtek maps, TomTom7 uses the latest Teleatlas maps, which for W.Cork anyway seemed to have every little road, if you could call it a road. Some of the little lanes in W.Cork just aren't good for your suspension, I mean they are smaller than the width of my car and rougher than the dark side of the moon!
Using TomTom 7 on my Diamond + Uk/Ie Maps been to dublin cork waterford and never had any problems.

Hi guys,
Done the customary search but couldnt see a thread on this, so thought id ask/share.
I have had my HTC HD7 over a month now and i am really happy with it sofar, however every now and again i get the following happen to me (yes its my vid):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kNi23VF60o
Does this happen to anyone else and any idea what causes this to happen ? Probably the 3rd time its happened in a month...
Thoughts as always are welcome!
I think your phone might be broken... just a thought though... I've had mine since launch, running all day, every day, and I've never seen anything that looks remotely like that, or even resembles that it could be occurring...

I never had this problem. You might wanna try a hard-reset first, If it didnt help, you should send it back to service center
looks like a failing display, I would get it replaced by your carrier/htc.

No not broken , it is just a bug somewhere ( I got it to and on 3 phones ,all hd7)
if you restart the phone it is gone for a view days .
I haven't got this issue however I have had some random reboot and had a screen tearing happen once!
These issues have been widely reported and both HTC and Microsoft are aware of it, they are working on an update to fix these bugs however as it's only effecting HTC devices some have questioned that it could be due to HTC having some bad batch of MicroSD cards in their initial shipment of devices.
If this is the case I'm thinking of upgrading to 32GB SD Card as those who have upgraded they have noticed a slight performance increase, so my question is for those who have got 32GB in their HD7, do you guys still have these issues?

got any links? googled htc hd7 display problems and found nothing.
The updating to 32GB does not solve this issue. I previously had this too, but after the upgrade to the new O2 Rom (1.61) and a hard-reset they seem to have disappeared.
Not entirely sure if it was the hard-reset or the firmware though!
since re flashing it with the latest firmware i havnt had it yet; ill wait a few days though.

do a google search on "HD7 Random Reboot" you should see links to various blogs and forums reporting these issues. example: http://social.answers.microsoft.com...7/thread/ef609b5b-757c-4a8b-b3f1-e5aeba3324cb

Where did you download this new 02 ROM 1.61? any links? Never mind found the rom, it seems O2 Germany are quick with their update, I hope O2 UK do the same!
So the wife has a Radar and it gets an update to OS 7.10.8107.79 Supposedly solves the disappearing keyboard issue. Which lately has been driving me nuts. So the Radar is a gen 2 phone and the HD7 is 1st gen. My question is are the HD7's going to see this update or do you think 1st gen phones are going to get left in the dust?
T mobile is pretty mum about the htc hd7, i also own one and id been patiently waiting the update and its really disappointing to hear that 2nd gen WP devices are getting the update but cant confirm the 1st gen phones. still its t mobiles call whether to request the update. i hope in the future that updates for WP will NOT be dependent on the carrier...
My HD7 is on 7.10.8107.79 already - of course update via Zune, no custom roms.
I flashed XDA-DFT rom and it is now 8107, don't bother waiting the T-mob.
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
or you can simply force the update via the cab send method...I did it a nite ago and works like a charm...
Well your right. I got tired of waiting so I did force it. My question still stands tho...is this an indication that 1st gen phones are going to be hung out? I have seen some post that say no...some say yes. I just don't think it is a very good indicator when T mobile doesn't push a small update to the 1st gen phones.

It looks like they have had their mits on it .,, from another update on this discussion
3 branded firmware, x.xx.771.x, instead of running x.xx.401.x unbranded ?
but looks like they haven't filled it with junk which is good ..... when it boots up does it have 3;s screen or the htc one ?
I only decided today to sack off my note 2 and get this beast .. it cost me £195 to cancel my contract with 3 and get another contract but better than buying a unlocked handset , I got cashback off three, the one plan for £36 and also a free handset so happy and for that im happy to have threes firmware as they are now quick in relasing updates (the 3 branded handset got updated on note 2 to 4.1.2 two months before my unlocked handset !) ..
just ordered a cover and screen protectors off amazon if you haven't decided these look good buddy

looks like htc have done a decent job . I think the silver which ive ordered is sexier which did u get ?

That is good news for the firmware update, but I guess since we're already on XDA, firmware updates won't be a problem, mine will end up running a custom one in a week.
Yes I just rebooted it for the first time, and there is an animated three logo poping up for about a sec (this beast knows how to boot, only 7 seconds in total)
I got the Silver one, its much nicer to look at than the Black one I saw in Three Store, and I got the same case from expansys, but I might buy a transparent one, its way too sexy to hide it.
right, unlocking then.
three charge 15.32 to unlock the phone, that has been the standard charge since i last paid them the same to unlock my blackberry 2 years ago.

stop you are making me very very very jealous I want a time machine to get to Monday
So what you are saying the phone is AWSOME
Jes what a good choice I think we have all made , think HTC have done us proud with this one
Im waiting for the first threat about 4.2 !
I am not sure about the bootlocker on the htc one .. can we swap the firmware on it ?
I don't normally mess and if the 3 software is very minor I can live with that
