Hi,there are many gestures with the Note but I heard that you can turn on the flashlight while the phone is locked just by shaking it? Has anybody done this?

I don't think this would be a good option... what if we keep in our pocket and run??? device definitely bounce and flash on !!!!.
I think you are talking about the flashlight application in the market (not the torch widget that comes with recent upgrade - LC1 I think).
The flashlight app has a (configurable) feature whereby you can turn the light on by pressing the power or menu key to get to the unlock screen and THEN shaking the device. I do sometimes use this - as if you are doing something like a DIY task and you need light quickly with your hands busy it's the quickest way - one button push and a shake.
Havng said that I have found several times that when in my pocket, I've accidently pressed the power key and my walking motion has then turned on the light - spotted by a rather strange white dot shining through my jeans!
Super annoying turning them down constantly, CM7 notifications apparently reset the brightness value to default.
Any way to turn them off except for notifications?

try this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guenmat.android.optimus2x&feature=search_result
i using it to lower the brightness but you can also turn the leds completely off.
Remember to tick "set on boot".
I just notice when I turn off automatic lighting and turn my light off, my key lights don't turn on or off automatically. And there's no way to turn them on automatically.
The problem is if I want to just keep my brightness all the way up all the time, in the dark or low light conditions the bottom keys don't turn on. So I can't see them. Is there a way to fix this. I'm on full unrooted stock ICS.

Yesterday i was looking for some app to notify me via LED about missed calls/other messages. Installed an app (don't remember app name) from Play store and immediately i observe that soft keys lit every time i touch the screen. It's very annoying. Problem remains same after uninstalling the app and today i flashed to V_10H but problem still exists.
Help me to resolve the problem also recommend any good app to notify the missed calls/messages.
Thanks
When the screen is on this is normal, but it happens when the screen is off also I think?
Just a guess, but try this:
Go to the soft key settings, set it to always on.
Then set your screen brightness on automatic.
Reboot and put the settings back to what you had first.
Reboot.
This helped with soft key light problems in V10F.

Thanks for response. I followed your steps..problem still exists.
This happens only when screen is on. I don't think its normal to lit soft keys when ever i touch main screen. I haven't noticed this until i installed app.
If it lit's up whenever i touch the screen doesn't it affect when i play games/seek video?

It's always been like this for my phone.. When the screen is on, and the soft key lights are out, if I then touch the screen again they light up.
You can either disable the soft key lights or enable them to light up constantly, like I do now.

I don't have apps that control screen light. I tired playing games like Bubble Words and light turns on every time when i touch screen. So i set lights to off always.
When the phone was new, i was on V_10e and i didn't have this problem. I installed some stupid app and it changed everything. I have upgraded to 10H but still problem exists and no way to prove that it worked earlier.
I don't get the logic behind lights on when i touch main screen.
Thanks
Thanks to Computerfreek274 for Droid Turbo ROM. So far great to use. Only issue is soft keys seem to light inconsistently. No other mods flashed, just straight up Computerfreek274_Unlocked_1.2.6. Any ideas on fix? Thanks in advance.
Seems to be related to adaptive brightness setting for display. If this setting is on, then the soft keys turn off almost immediately. Soft keys stay on as before if the adaptive brightness setting is off. Any way to correct this?
