Hi I started to have a problem around 2 weeks ago. My HD7 started to say Playback error on most of my podcasts.
I'm using a WP7Conector for Mac so first I thought that its some kind of iTunes - WP7C incompatibility but when I emptied my Library and connected to my Windows7 laptop with same podcasts but this time downloaded via Zune, same problem.
It seams that if I'll download mp3 from website and sync via Zune or WP7C it will be playable.
( podcasts with problem include Engadget, Engadget Mobile, Joysq, 10 O'Clock Live, Comedy of the week and few more)
I really don't understand that especially that for example Engadget HD works fine
ok I still don't understand why its happening but I come up with a little way around it. in iTunes you can subscribe to RSS MP3 version of podcasts manually. All the podcasts with were not working are now fine, it take 5 minutes but at least it works,

Is anyone using it? I just heard about it last thursday. I am using the free version because the only services I need to use are Orb and Youtube. It has some connection issues. Has anyone else experienced this?
Do you mean Kinoma? What are you talking about?

I have the full version, which is awesome. I use it on my mega commute to and from work. The connection issues always seem to happen in the same spots every day. I imagine it has to do with the area you're in. And it's not just youtube or orb. It happens with internet radio and the like.

What's it like for playing WMV video from storage? I'm looking for a better way than Windows Pocket Media Player as I don't like the screen tearing I get at over 15 fps.
Not trying to bring back such an old thread, but I don't want to start a new one since this is already here.
I've been using Kinoma the past week or so and I absolutely LOVE it. I'm using the free version and my connection is STELLAR. I can stream the 128K streams without any bufferring issues 90% of the time, and I never have any issues with the 96k streams. I'm going to purchase the full version so I can get my old Radio stations back and also get access to Live TV and what-not. There's literally thousands of radio stations on Kinoma. I highly reccomend it.

Plus the full version also plays podcasts. No more having to d/l six different media players just to enjoy all your media and online media,
$29.99 is a lot steeper than free, but when you think of what you spent on software for your PC, it is more in line.
I really like also.
Does it utilise the TyTN II's hardware acceleration yet?
I realise that it's pretty good at playing a multitude of media types/sources but does it use the latent graphics acceleration capabilities of the MSM7200 chip in my TyTN II yet? I believe the upcoming Coreplayer 2.0 is planned to do this (even though the current version doesn't). I'm using TCPMP at the moment which limps along with DivX video in the mean time and have no need to play other additional media types.

They do offer TrialPay. I signed up for a RealNetworks (yuk) trial, and got it for free. Canceled the trial the next day.
ASX Support?
I'm using Freeplay. I checked the Kinoma Blog and it says the either Play or Freeplay can handle .asx playlist. I tried Freeplay and .asx playlist did not. I was presented with an "unsupported format" error. Has anyone gotten .asx playlist to work on Play or Freeplay? I need this feature for MS Voice Command to work with the player. VC produces .asx playlists.
Yeah, I agree, Kinoma Freeplay is amazing. They have ALL the episodes of MacGyver! Suddenly I find myself not doing any homework during my free periods. As for the connection issues, I don't have any problems at school, but I can't really even use it at home because of my bad data connection. And as for the hardware acceleration, i was wondering that myself. The actual program menus are animated and run really smooth, so maybe. Also, no screen tearing. Anyway, those are just my thoughts.

The screen transitions are nearly perfect. I'm going to purchase the full version tomorrow I think. I'll write up my impressions after I use it for a few days.
have it
I have a full version, I like it a lot and i use it as main player, only thing i dont like is even if u buy the full version you still need a vip subscription to use a lot of services! I dont like buying the same app over and over again
So back in high school I used setup a simple HTTP server that allowed me to browse my music on the schools computers and play it there through VLC player. I figure since I have 160GB of music (way more than I can fit on my phone) I could probably do the same thing, but the problem I'm facing is what app would I use to browse the music?
Any ideas on how I could do this? Over the 3G network it should be ok, at least no worse than pandora and I would have access to all of my music.
Have a look at orb.. you can set it up to stream your entire media library to your device (even videos). It will auto-encode to a supported format and adapt the bit rate to your network speed. It's pretty sexual.

go get GMote, best app I've seen yet, works over wifi and 3G/Edge.
Another one for gmote.
Yet another vote for gmote here.
Gmote does not auto convert and will not play .avi. I use it exclusively for music, but I have never been able to get the video to play on my phone.

I saw that. I was responding to the post about Orb. My music works flawlessly on gmote whether I am using wifi or 3g. I definitely give it 3 thumbs up.
I've done some googling to no avail. Hopefully someone here might know the answer. Is it possible to stream audio from my PC to my phone? To be specific, I would like to listen to the audio coming from my PC i.e. if I'm watching a movie I'd like the movie's audio steaming from the device, not music. I'm also not talking about watching movies from my PC on the device i.e. Orb. Thanks for any help!
could you clarify it a different way? do you mean play just the audio on your phone while watching a movie on the pc?
i use subsonic to play music on my phone that resides on my pc with a server app on my pc.
you could also use streamfurious if you have a shoutcast playlist stream set up already
seeing what you guys were talking about, i remembered that i have winampremote instaled in my pc at home, and went to get the aplic from the market to use in my N1 (went also to another site to get the server app to install in my pc. it all worked well and i get access to my library at home. i see the names of the music, etc etc. the only thing that is not working is the sound (I can't hear anything ) is it possible the N1 phone couldn't play this kind o. streams?
if some of you could give a tip i would be much appreciated. i'm trying over the net and not kn my lan...

Hi xda'ers
I couldn't really find another place to ask this so I thought I would try here.
When streaming music from Google music to the chrome cast I find that when the song is very long (say a live dj set mp3) and i seek somewhere to the middle all audio cuts out. Both the chromecast and the android devices both think they have buffered the new area of the song and say they are playing but no audio comes out. Furthermore if after I start a long song I wait 3-4 mins (enough time for the full 100-200MB mp3 to have fully buffered on the chromecast) then seeking works fine.
Is anyone else noticing this behavior? I also noticed that the same thing happened when streaming to the nexusQ but i ignored it because that was an unreleased product.
I have had trouble with podcasts. If GPlay Music loses the connection there's no way to reestablish it without losing my place in the podcast. However the third party app Remotecast seems to work for seeking even after having resumed a lost connection.
