Hi all,
I installed "Application protection" on Market and it worked well on FROYO 2.2. However, since I upgrade my Galaxy S to 2.2.1, this application does not work properly. It still runs but does not protect anything.
I tried with some other similar protection apps on Market and had the same problem! I do not know if those applications support 2.2.1?
Is anyone using this kind of application? Please advise the one that you are using and if it works well.

ok, im running this rom http://bit.ly/aT68J7 and im trying to get my weatherbug elite working, and it keeps giving FCs when it wors on every other rom. the other one is the verizon fios mobile remote app. it can be found in the app market on 2.1 and says it only works with the droid but on their webbsite it says it works with the eris also. (http://bit.ly/bYsDzn). this is a free app. someone suggested modifying the build.prop but i have no clue how. any help would be great. thanks.

anyone have any luck getting it to work on 2.2? on other forums it seems that other people dont have it working with froyo either. and if not, is there anything other than using vpns that could a similar job? thanks
I have the same problem on I9000 after updating to Froyo. It was working fine on Eclair but now it's not working anymore... Anybody has any solution?!

Just stumbled upon the way to get Orbot working on Froyo.
It's not too tough, just go grab the new Firefox Mobile beta...
Once you've installed it, go to the add-ons menu and get "Proxy Mobile" from ProjectGuardian.org
Restart firefox mobile, connect to tor through orbot, run a check using firefox, and voila! It works!

I have a standard galaxy 9000 with android 2.2, the standard email reader is very slow, and so is touchdown after upgrading to android 2.2
I have tried reading up other treads but i cant make anything out of it, i dont know what all the technical stuff means.
Is there any way to fix the exchange mail issue, and please keep it simple

Can you please tell me where i can find a lagfix, found some on market but dont know witch one to install.
Install Improved Email from the market. Its free and works like a dream. Can't recommend it enough compared to the travesty that is the stock mail client on 2.2.

witch one ? Have tried touchdown but that is not any faster.
Parat, I'm not talking about Touchdown. "Improved Email" is the name of the app I'm recommending. You can find it in the Market.

I just noticed that my android market has just disappeared after looking at apps on appbrain app.
Does anyone else have this problem and know how to get it back?
I have only just noticed it today and I think i had it yesterday. I also installed symply theme and gtalk 1.3 app yesterday (if that has anything to do with it, I don't know.

I have a Samsung galaxy S i9000 with gingerbread 2.3.4 installed and rooted and nothing else installed.
When i go in to gallery to view my pictures and i swype to go from one to the next one it does not move smooth like it did in froyo it`s not a fluid move its a interrupted movement. Did not have this problem on froyo. i re-installed the os powered off the phone stopped most apps and services but the problem did not go away. Any suggestions ? It did this before and after i rooted it. did it on fresh install of 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 on 2.2 froyo did not had this problem. Any suggestions ? except the one that says go back to froyo ?
Well, just a suggestion, use Picturen Lite or Quickpic.
I know this doesn't actually answers your question, but the stock gallery is not that great.
I use QuickPic. It's without doubt the fastest and least cluttered gallery app out there. It's free but would pay for it! Give it a try
