How to play flash on Android 2.1 - Nook Color General

Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched, but couldn't find anything.
I am running Android 2.1 on my Nook Color. The Adobe Flash app apparently doesn't work with anything below 2.2.
Is there anything else I can use to watch Flash videos on my NC?
The Market has an "SWF Player," but it says "You need to install Adobe Flash Player Plugin before using this player."
I cannot find the plugin in the Market. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

The only thing you can use to Watch Flash on your 2.1 rom, is the "Skyfire" web-browser which kinda has flash support, it will convert flash on the fly and allow you to watch content from the systems default video app.
Its not perfect and its pretty clunky, but its all 2.1 has unless adobe puts out a flash for 2.1 which i'm sure they wont. since they could have already and decided not too.

Dire need of some help guys. Just Rooted and Installed Eclair 2.1

So I just rooted my G1 and installed Eclair 2.1.
For some reason I can't download anything from the market? Everything just sits at the 'installing' section of the app market and never really starts.
I would just install everything off the SD card but the ROM didnt even come w/ a file manager
Would I be better off installing a different rom or am I missing something? I am not recieving text messages either, but I was told that is because the G1 isnt compatible/working w/ the default message system and I would need to use a 3rd party app (Handcent, ChompSMS, etc)
Any help is appreciated
I have a retarded issue with it on my 1.5 Dream. Try signing into Google Talk. Not much of a fix... but if it works...

First, we need to know which rom you're using. Eclair is the version name of 2.1, not the rom. At that point, we might be able to help you. Also, roms generally dont come with file managers, you have to use your own. An alternate way to install your apps would be to install them through ADB.

Whomever told you that the G1 doesnt work with the default messaging app on 2.1 was lying. I can think of three roms off the top of my head that run it just fine. Hell, i've got it working on my G1 as I type this.
So once you get us some more information, perhaps we could help you out.
like the other guy said, i have heard that signing into google talk fixes the market download bug, also try rebooting, if i have this problem a reboot and about 5 minute wait will fix it.

Adobe Flash on Phiremod 6.3 ?

Hello,
Question about my rooted B+N nook.
Currently has Phiremod v6.3.
When I go to website that has flash, I get a message the instructs me to install flash.
I click on the link and it opens up Android Market to the Adobe Flash 10.3 page.
However, it does not display the “Install” button.
Is flash supported on PhireMod?
If so, how do I install Adobe Flash on Phiremod 6.3?
Do I need to install Cyanogen Mod 7 for Flash support?
TIA!
From what I know, it is still supported. On my other NC, that is running Phiremod 6.3, I do have Flash. But I am also using the old market because I froze it with Titanium Backup. My advice, look for a guide on how to get the old market back and. Download it using the old one. (I would keep the old market and not upgrade to the new one either)
Typed using the XDA Premium App for the Nook Color

Flash on my rooted note

Hi guys, just wondered if it was possible to get flash working on my rooted galaxy note.
im currently running on rocket rom v2
If i remember rightly, there was a way to install flash and then run it, but i cant remember how it was done.
any help would be great.
For those wondering why i want it, i like to have bets on bet365 and watch the horse racing, but if i go on bet365 via the web, it comes up straight away telling me to update flash, which i obviously cant do
download this
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.36/install_flash_player_ics.apk
and install as a normal apk.
open stock browser and enable plugins.. try any flash website to test or use http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
works on stock browser. not many others

You can install the versions you want from here. Go to Flash Player for Android 4.0 archives section in the page.

[Q] Adobe Flash Player Parse Error

I get the typical Parse Error when I go to try and install the latest version of Flash on my phone. I am able to install an old version 11.1.102.59 so I can use flash in the stock browser but Opera Classic doesn't seem to recognize it. The only other method I used to try to install flash was to put it into the system/apps folder but the phone acted like it was never there.
I'm running Android 2.3.3 w/ HTC Sense 2.1 (if that matters).
I specifically want Opera to work because there is one critical feature in Opera that none of the other browsers seem to have.
Any Help?
Thanks

Flash & Nook Color HD+ 9'

Hello guys,
Forgive me on the newbie questions. I didn't know where to start reading.
It looks like a lot. So, I am hoping for simple and easy to do list to get this to work.
I have websites like NHL.com, MLB.com and NFL.com which I have legal logins to try to
log in to and watch the on my nook but it won't download the app for that sport, or I can't get it to work with the stock browsers that it comes with along with Dolphin or Puffin free and pro. I want to work like it does on my computer and work on my nook.
At the time I didn't realize this device did not have flash embedded in and would not have bought it if I new it then. I am looking to trade it maybe if anyone is interested in swapping out this table for a table that is equal and would have flash working with it. I am open to that.
I have tried all of them They will work but it is extremely bad. Buffers all the time or won't download, and the usual hits keep coming for reasons it doesn't work do to the fact the BN tablet is not friendly with the nook and doesn't work by default. Also doesn't work on WWE.com. Yes, I am a huge sports fan but it is what it is.
What I am wanting to know if i do some rooting and side loading, will this work for me?
Will flash work with out me downloading anything else and installing anything else besides the roms and whatever is needed for cyanogenmod & Roms.
Can anyone help me with the right links and what to do and how to do it?
I have a dedicated SD card I bought for this reason alone. But, again if I download cyanogenmod and other software I need. Will this be the ends meet I need.
Another words will flash work well like it does non a computer if I decided to go this route.
My nook is over a year old so it's probably out of warranty. So, I am know about that issue.
PLEASE HELP ME GET FLASH TO WORK WELL ON THIS DEVICE, PERTTTTY PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
No help & Possible Trading Device, The Nook with someone?
So,
Know one has any advice on how to help me with my flash & Nook HD+ 2.2.0 software version issue.
I need to figure out how to get flash on to it, through normal procedures.
Or the cyanogenmod and others to get flash on it?
If I choose the cyanogenmod route will this help me get flash on it and work.
For instance I will go to ESPN.com a known flash website.
When I am in non-mobile mode it says flash needs to be downloaded. It takes me to it.
But, the choices are not obviously for the Nook Color HD+, correct?
Can any one give me some advice on how I can get flash to work good?
I am past my warranty so I am aware of that.
I have tried other work around such as puffin free and paid version browsers and Dolphin. They all work, but work like crap. Lagging
big time or not working at all. I have tried The browser plugin which supposedly is suppose to help but doesn't or I am not doing things
correctly which is entirely likely.
I would really appreciate some one who can guide me through the cyanogenmod process. I have a SD card and I am willing to try it.
I don't care which versions I have just as flash works well. That is what i need to happen.
A lot of the sports programs I mentioned earlier do not work on their websites like NHL.com or MLB,com.
I can't even download their apps do to not compatible.
Again I would really appreciate the help. Just need some good old fashion help from some one.
I am also willing to trade the device to some one if they want for a table that will work just as well as this one that does what I need it to do if that is a option to some of you folks?

Hi,
I followed the advice in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774336&page=94 and it worked for me in Dolphin and I then found it worked in the stock browser :good:
Dave
2.2 is what I have
Dave,
2.2 is what I have not 4.1 like the article says.

To use install and run Flash, you'd need to install and run custom ROM such as CM11, or to root your current stock ROM (your stock ROM v2.2 is based on Android version 4.0, so Flash should install and run on it once it's rooted).
Flash for Android 4.0 can be downloaded from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html.

See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2679899 for info/pointers on how to install CM11 on Nook HD+.
If you'd like to try out CM11 running it on SD first before committing to installing it on emmc (replacing the current stock ROM), see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2583952.
What to download? Part #2
Hey guys,
Just to make sure I downloaded two versions of flash files just to be safe.
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
From that link above.
I downloaded the one for 4.0 and 2.x I think it says on their download links.
Was that the correct flash to download?
Still need advice on what to do with my android software, will I need to update that first then download the CM 11 software.
Just not sure what process to take. sorry it's confusing to me at the moment.
I will stop babbling on. Sorry.
Excited to here your suggestions on help.
Thanks again peeps, Karl
