[Q] Dual boot nook honey multi boot really slow - Nook Color General

Have a rooted dual boot. Original is primary and if I hold down the home key i get Honeycomb (not overclocked because that rom didn't work for me).
The (multi)u-boot... splash screen hangs out for about 2 to 3 minutes before either going into the original rom or Android HC.
Is this normal? Is there a way to speed that up?

[Q] Change kernel starup image

Is there any way to just change the image when the kernel loads ? I have a custom startup animation and shutdown animation, which load later in the boot.
Further explanation : When I first power on it says I896 and on the bottom samsung, then it switches to Samsung-I897, then my boot animation starts, I want to change the first 2 to something else. I will be content keeping it at I896 with samsung underneath it till the boot animation starts. I am running Phoenix with its default kernel.
Thanks.

[Q] Need help with rogers i896 boot screen

hey there, i know this is my first post, and i just did my first flash of the Cog 3.04 Rom to my Rogers Captivate tonight, but i read through everything before i did it and everything went well.
but i figured out that when my phone boots up, i get a i896 Samsung boot screen at the very start, and then switches to AT&T world phone boot screen, then to a cog boot screen.
I've looked around and people say the AT&T screen is kernel based.. so i don't know if i can even get rid of that
I'm wondering if there is a way to get rid of the last two boot screens and have the glowing Galaxy S boot screen from stock, and if not that, just the i896 boot screen, can anyone help me?
you are right, the second boot logo is kernel based.
simple fix, flash a new kernel.
most roms are compatible with most kernels,
make sure lagfix options are disabled in clockwork recovery. Some Roms enable on install. so even if you didnt turn it on, TURN IT OFF FIRST.
Download neldar's SGS kernel flasher app for easy kernel back up/flashing.
you can find a copy in my Magic Android folder in my Signiature.

[Q] Tmobile G1 wont load any roms

Hi,
My tmobile G1 wont load any roms for some reason.
I flash a rom to it and it updated but when I reboot it gets stuck at the rainbow "X" screen.
Its a cyanogen rom.
Any clues on what to do?
The way I flashed it was by powering on the phone, holding the home plus power, then flashing the rom. Any suggestions?
Thanks
I've heard of people refer to the stock bootloader screen as a rainbow screen, but Rainbow "X"? Can you take a picture of it and upload it?

[Q] need help with my micromax a26. it is not booting

i rooted my device earlier, but it was good with no errors.
i changed my bootanimation.zip with custom animation file, yet it was fine.
but when i tried to change framework_res.apk with a custom framework file and then i rebooted and from there the problem started.
It is not booting it just shows the bolt logo and then the custom animation that i loaded but then it shows a blank screen turns off and again starts. this process goes on and on till i turn off the mobile.
specs of my mobile:
1. gingerbread 2.3.5
2. 200mb ram
3. 1 ghz cortex a5 processor

[Q] Unrooted Stock N7000 Stuck at Splash Logo

I have a Note (GT-N7000) which has decided to no longer boot up completely. It is unrooted stock ROM. It manages to get bast the initial boot screen, but gets stuck on the SAMSUNG splash screen.
I can:
Boot into Recovery
Boot into Download Mode
Use ADB
see it in device manager as aMTP Device (although I can't see the actual device contents)
I have data (appdata, and files/documents)on it I need to get off, is there any hope?
It's my wifes phone, so some of you probably know how important this is!
Any help appreciated.

From what I've read, I guessed I'm screwed, but was hoping there was something I missed. Look slike the phone will be relegated to a drawer in the hope that one day I can get data back. Look out Note 3! (or 4 if the budget can stretch)
Solved!
So, I ended up installing PhilZ-cwm6 - Safe Stock Based Kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191) and could then boot into a custom recovery, mount USB and copy all the data off.
All good. Now to factory reset and see if phone comes back to us. Already got a new Note 4 to replace the old girl, so not a issue anymore.
