Hi All,
I am thinking about buying the nook color after sifting thru all the wonderful work done on nook by all devs.
I have a question. If i use Nookie Froyo out of sd card, i.e. do not install it on the nook emmc, will I be able to access Nooks internal 8 gb memory? I am thinking about using the internal memory for movies and stuff. Will I be able to play them, if i boot into nook thru sd card?
The easiest way to be able to access the internal /media partition would be to use the Customized Nookie Froyo from brianf21. However, I just noticed the Nookie Froyo brianf21's is based off (cicada's Nookie Froyo) was just updated to 0.6.8. So you probably want to wait for brianf21 to update his customized one.
Thanks.....Much Appreciated
Hey guys first post from a an android noob here!
I just burned an sd with 0.6.7 and am wondering how to use the internal memory as well. I am mainly wondering how to get downloaded books to show on the kindle/nook apps.
Thanks!
Hi, I installed Nookie Froyo "xe.nook.color-froyo-v2.2-flashable-REV223" to my internal memory. everything works great. but when i connect my nook color to my laptop through usb, i no longer see the nook drive on "My Computer". Am I missing something? On my nook also, it shows the total internal memory as abt 1 gb and not 5 or 8 gb. Can you please advise me? Currently i use microsd card to put my documents, but would like to use the spare internal memory as well, if possible.
Same thing has happened to my but with honeycomb.

howz honeycomb? i tried honeycomb on sd card but it was very slow when compared to froyo. it was a class 4 4gb card. i have a class 10 16gb card but not able to boot honeycomb with it. it is asking for decryption password.
use my nookcolor USB mass storage utility.
internal storage is about 1gb (/data)
5gb storage is on /media. Use the utility..

So once I had mp3, video and photo to the 5GB media drive and eject it from my PC.
how does it show up on the nook? Can't get the nook to recognize the media file.
Hey,
This is probably a stupid question, but I've been wondering how to do this for a while.
Back when I was on the stock rom, connecting to the computer would show both the SD card and the eMMC (5GB) on my computer, and I could copy to either of them.
Now on Nookie froyo, it's the standard USB; When i turn on USB storage I can access the SD card only.
So my question is, how can I access both on this rom (if it's possible)!
Thanks in advance
First and foremost, I apologize if this question has been asked/answered before. I am very new to both windows and android, and most likely this is just a stupid issue caused by my inexperience
I have the Custom Nookie Froyo ROM 0.6.8 written to my 2GB micro sd card and it works great in my nook and all. However, when I put the sd card in my computer, it only shows one partition (boot, 115mb) in the devices with removable storage section of my computer. There are supposed to be 4 partitions on the disk, and I was curious as to how I can find and access the other 3.
Windows can't see ext partitions, so try running a Linux live CD...

Success
It works! Thank you very much
Download apk nookcolorums, it will allow you to mount any partition.
Even better
Nook Color USB Mass Storage utility is great the app comes with the Rom "Customized Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 Image for SDcard" just make sure you go into the "Spare Parts" app and ensure that Compatibility mode is turned off, would not work for me until I did that.
Here is a question for you Android experts: Do any of you know of a program that will allow me to run apps from the SD card? All of the appstosd programs I've been seeing are for droid 2.2 and higher. Please help thanks
Try Link2SD
There is a very interesting application working on Android 2.1: It's Link2SD.
It will need you to set up a Linux partition on your micro-SD. You can find it at AndroidMarket.
I found out about that yesterday and tried to format my SD card using insturctions posted using minipartion maker and my Nook didn't recognize the SD card anymore. It was gettting late last night so I stopped playing earlier. I'll try it again tonight.
is there any way to install "APP 2 SD" on Nook touch?

At one point I had Link2SD working on my Nook Touch but for some reason it no longer works. If I'm not mistaken, I now have Touchnooter (no longer working) where before I had Xboxexperts script (working). Annoying.
