Nookie - How to get SD & eMMC to come up? - Nook Color General

Hey,
This is probably a stupid question, but I've been wondering how to do this for a while.
Back when I was on the stock rom, connecting to the computer would show both the SD card and the eMMC (5GB) on my computer, and I could copy to either of them.
Now on Nookie froyo, it's the standard USB; When i turn on USB storage I can access the SD card only.
So my question is, how can I access both on this rom (if it's possible)!
Thanks in advance

[Q] Honeycomb SD Portability?

Stupid question here probably.
If I set up an SD card with honeycomb's image, then install some apps on it, get google working, market working, root installed, etc, is that card going to just plug and play and work in another nook with all the config and apps, or does some of that stuff get stored on the emmc anyway when I boot from SD?
Ideally, all settings are running off SD so any config I do would be identical in another nook, but I'm not sure if, even if running off SD, some stuff happens on the emmc once I boot in.
it all goes to the SD card unless you intentionally try to write to the EMCC. If you want to verify this yourself, pop out the SD card and boot the nook, you won't find any trace of HC there

Thanks, that was my concern...That some sort of settings or apps or root or anything else I did might go to EMMC, but if it all goes to the card, that's perfect -- I want to set up a card for a pal but don't have his nook, if I can test in my nook then send the card and he's good to go, that's ideal.

[Q] How do I get all partitions of my sd card to show?

First and foremost, I apologize if this question has been asked/answered before. I am very new to both windows and android, and most likely this is just a stupid issue caused by my inexperience
I have the Custom Nookie Froyo ROM 0.6.8 written to my 2GB micro sd card and it works great in my nook and all. However, when I put the sd card in my computer, it only shows one partition (boot, 115mb) in the devices with removable storage section of my computer. There are supposed to be 4 partitions on the disk, and I was curious as to how I can find and access the other 3.
Windows can't see ext partitions, so try running a Linux live CD...

It works! Thank you very much
Download apk nookcolorums, it will allow you to mount any partition.
Even better
Nook Color USB Mass Storage utility is great the app comes with the Rom "Customized Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 Image for SDcard" just make sure you go into the "Spare Parts" app and ensure that Compatibility mode is turned off, would not work for me until I did that.

[Q] A newbie asking for help (rooted and installed froyo in SD card)

I have restored the system, but I still have three problems:
1. I used Froyo in SD card. How can I let it run without SD card?
2. The SD card is 16GB, but I used winimg to write the Froyo into it, it turns to be only 2GB, how can I get 16GB back.
3. When I connected my nook with my computer, it's showing I have two more new disks, however, I couldn't read any of them, let alone writing to them. How can I get the USB connection back?
Thanks a million!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Q] nook turns off when i put sdcard in!

im running Nookie Comb and whenever i put my sdcard in the Nook turns off! is it just a problem with the rom?
nookie comb does have problems with sd cards doesnt it. it didnt turn off my nook but when i had nookie comb, it would always detect my sd card as damaged even though it worked fine on my laptop and computer. i just switched to cm7.
if you want to keep nookie comb, i suggest you try the following to see if it can be of any help. back up stuff in your sd card first!
1. http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/download/index.html
download either version 2 or 3. i have v2. format your sd card using it. do a 'quick' format but under options, enable 'format size adjustment'.
2. if that doesnt help, try running check disk on your windowd by going to start->search or run->chkdsk

thanks for the help, but i already flashed cm7

Internal SD card trouble

I just flashed serendipity 6.4 and it runs very very well. However since flashing, my pc has not recognized my internal SD card. The external sd card immediately pops up when connected. I can't access it from my pc at all, but when just on my phone, I can browse the file in astro. I already tried changing the it to mass storage in the usb settings. Any tips?
Check to make sure its mounted.
Settings>sd card and storage> internal sd
Thats the only thing I got.

If the above doesn't work, go into recovery and try and mount SD cards from there and see what it does. If it still doesnt mount flash to stock and get it warranty replaced
Im gonna try flashing back to stock and see if it recognizes. It should... hopefully. thanks
Next time, post in the ROM-specific sticky if your question is related to a certain ROM.
