Well. In the new roms of Racth(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914513) Is REQUIRE latest baseband version xxx15. And people with baseband 006 will never have these roms working property?
Because of that i created that topic to solve this issue.
What's the problem? Go to my thread and download X8a 015 baseband, and flash it...

Hunn blagus. So it's possible to install a 015 in a device with 006. That sounds good. I flahsed my device with Baseband 006 - kernel 2.0.2.A.0.24.
Now that i know the Baseband 015 work in a device with Baseband 006 i will flash it now.
Good job to all developers. You guys rock...

How can I know if I have a X8a or X8i ? What are the risk of a mistake ?
Because I have already installed the new baseband provide by ratch without knowing the two versions of X8 ... That seem to work however ...
You said that you have X8a, so flash X8a baseband...
If you flash X8i baseband, 3G won't work due to frequency difference...

If you open your phone and look under the battery it will say E15i or E15a.
Hope this helped.

You can use baseband 15 on your phone.I also have E15i and is using baseband 15.If you are installing custom rom use baseband 15, if nothing else is mentioned in custom rom's page.If things fail you can use seus to get back to stock SE rom.

Ok i'm downloading now the 15 baseband for x8i. but i have one more question, it will install a new kernel 2.1.1.... but wil it delete my files, apps, etc?
No, it won't. Read there again and you'll see bold statement "This will NOT wipe your userdata!"
I read it but better to check 2x lol
Thanks
Hello, I have some questions.
My Kernel version is 2.6.29 / 2.0.1.A.0.47.
Can I use the flashtool to change my baseband from 006 to 015 without a problem, using blagu's baseband collection?
Thx
Yes you can.

Thx, I'm gonna try it later.
Only to be sure, to change my 006 to 015 I must use the 015 blagu's file, right?
Yes, use the file from blagus.
I have a 06 baseband, somehow I managed to flash miniCM 6 onto. There was a restart loop, but I managed to get around it by disabling the overclock. Can I just flash the 15 baseband onto it now?
the only requirement for basebands is to be E15a or E15i, according to your phone?

Yes root is through superoneclick..
You can also root with the help of x8toolbox (Find it in the development section)
You can check your baseband by going to Settings --> About Phone --> Baseband version. That version should end with the digits 015

thanks, man soo which is better to use? s1click or the x8toolbox? but ill still go for s1click i easier to root
I have had my phone rooted and am using GingerDX v022. I have changed my baseband to 015.
I applied to get my netowkr unlock code off my operator and they sent it to me. But when I tried to enter the unlock code, it would not accept it. Has this got anything to do with the fact that I have changed my phone?
If so, how to I change it all back?
Thank you.
ummmm what do you mean changed your phone?? what phone did you request the code for??? codes are only meant for the device that you requested it for.....if you mean rooted, mine was rooted when i put the network unlock code in, did you write it down correctly??? you can ask them for it again, it will be on they're system
Changed my phone as in, new rom, baseband etc. I was on the phone to the company, and double checked the code was the right one, which it was. They told me if it didn't work I'd have to send it away to get flashed.
I then assumed that the rom/baseband/root hace somehow interfered with my unlocking process.
swap your kernel to stock, and go back to stock OFFICAL rom, and input the code...i had to do that for the X10 mini pro.
Okay, thank you so much for the help. Would you be able to tell me how to do those two things? It'd be a great help as it'd been a while since I've done this kind of thing. And where to get them?
flashtool for flashing kernels etc http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=986697
and the thread for reverting etc

Using Flashtool or SEUS or PCC will restore both stock rom and kernel simultaneously.
As for baseband, try with 015 first, if it doesn't work try 006.

Okay thank you so much for the help. And in future I will post this in the proper section.
Do I just download the stock 2.1 Eclair ROM in this topic (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1425240) and and flash it using Flashtool or SEUS and then I can enter my code?
you WILL NOT lose network unlock, and not flashing stock BEFORE using seus has been known to brick phones. hence me saying flash stock kernel 1st. you can download the 1.6 version which i know 100% is in english, the 2.1 isnt in english and is pain in the ass
this is the 2.1 you want for flashtool

You have to flash it using Flashtool...
That's about it, afterwards just enter your code.
If it doesn't work flash the 006 baseband and try again.

Btw, the 2.1.1.A.0.53 isn't your baseband, it is your rom, and in this case it is one of the last official stock roms for the X8/W8.
Your baseband is the odd alphanumeric string that begins with M and ends in either 015 or 006. Most ROMs and kernels require baseband 015.
Also, I remember some users having this problem before. Use the search tool and see if you can find the posts.
