[Q] BRICK?!?! Please Help - Dell Streak 7

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I need help recovering from what I think is a brick.
I recently did a factory restore, because my streak 7 was acting strange, fc, and such. When I rebooted, nothing.... no fastboot, no recovery of any kind, only usb connection is apx, which I did install the drivers for, and it does connect to my pc as apx.
I have got what info I got from a thread about a bricked streak, which got me through installing the apx drivers, but the rest is more device specific..... i think?
Now I need help flashing a recovery... I think?? any suggestions?

look up in the fastboot thread... i posted on how to flash using fastboot. get the original shipping roms from the performance thread and flash those.
fastboot is lower into the hardware level than recovery....

Try using recovery mode

The phone-!-computer is a download mode, so if you can get to that, you should just Odin 1-click back to stock KK2 (get one with CWM) and reflash Illuminance.

That screen IS download mode - it's just telling you it won't go any further than that.
Follow the steps for what you were trying to do before with Odin, and you should be able to fix it straight away.
Don't worry, this phone is almost unbrickable.
My phone is ubrickable.

First link has the answer.
unplug phone, pull battery, reinsert battery, while holding both volume buttons insert usb cable, open odin, remove usb cable, connect usb cable to phone and pc, flash. thats the process. done it countless times with the screen you describe.
Just getting stuck with ODIN..
I continued with ODIN update after seeing this issue.. but somehow the screen is stuck at 'Set PIT File'. DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET. Does not seem to be going any further for 30 mins now..
the screen you are telling about is just like another version of download mode
first open odin one click then connect the device in download mode and click on start button you will get device running
Try leaving the battery out for like 5 minutes and/or use another odin 1 click

I've put myself in a bit of a hassle. I think I accidentally flashed the wrong ROM through Odin into my i9000 when being very stressed out, since I couldn't be reached while at work because of a boot loop.
Luckily I got saved by the fact that the OS still boots, thus allowing me to enter recovery or download mode using ADB.
But, I can't enter recovery or download mode using the three button combo anymore, seeing as my current ROM is performing too bad I'm now afraid to flash a new one. If I get stuck in a boot loop now I wouldn't know at all what to do.
TL;DR: What can I flash into my phone using Odin to make the three-button-combo functional again?
EDIT: Would "[ODIN] DarkyROM 10.2 Resurrection GT-I9000" work for me?
Cheers

My phone is already rooted and temporarily using CM9, but will flashing these files provide me with the correct firmware? And by firmware I mean which ever software is on a level low enough to handle key presses before boot.
Thanks
EDIT: From what I've read, it appears as the reason I can't enter download mode probably is because I don't have a primary bootloader. I'll try to flash the version with bootloader included.

I managed to start the download mode by pressing both volume buttons, and while having done so for about 1s I connected the USB. This brought up a message telling me to press VolUp to get to download mode and VolDown to reboot again. I was stumped by this seeing as nothing happened as I pressed VolUp, I then decided to press VolDown which got me to Download Mode.
I'll try to install XXJVK now. Cheers!
TL;DR: VolUp+VolDown -> Insert USB after about 1s -> Press VolDown even though it tells you to press VolUp

odin and download mode problems
hi there
i'm not just a Noob, i'm also very far from being a pro', so all the professional terms mean nothing to me. this is why the forum is very confusing for me...
I got my galaxy S Hebrew OS on it, wich turned out to be a troublemaker. i'ts a phone I bought in china, so it sill has strange chinees notifications no one can understand... and no facebook access, and I can't download skype (it says "skype is not available in your country", even when I had an israeli sim and israeli wifi).
I want to upgrade to Gingerbread (2.3.4), assuming it will erase any sign of the hebrew os, plus improve my phone generally.
I have a guide, odin3 and all the necessary files. when the phone is on download mode, the odin won't recognize the connection. I don't have kies, and when the phone in on ordinary mode there are no connection problems (i'm on "mass storage" in the usb options). I tried it with an israeli sim in, a chinees sim in, and without any sim at all. nothing works. everytime the computer reacts with sound and everything (this sad sound of "i know there's something there and can't connect it"). it's a new laptop with windows 7. I don't have another computer, but I can go to a friend's house if there's a chance win xp would work... should I? are there any other known solutions for this problem?
in addition- do you know (or does anybody know) how can I fix the chinees problems (blocks?) with facebook, skype etc.?
*** i'd be glad to receive answers by mail instead of filling the forum with my stupid questions
thank you anyway

Android is an os, gingerbread is a version of the android os and jvk is a rom, if that makes sense, like I am using Android (os) Version 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich and my rom is dark Knight 5.5
So what u are flashing is a rom

Dead Samsung Galaxy Note. Need Suggestions.

I was trying to root and install a custom ROM on my phone when this happens.
I suffered 3 kinds of brick that I recognized from reading the forum's guides.
So here's the story:
I install SuperUser and CWM through the stock recovery mode.
After that I tried to wipe everything with CWM from my phone as I wanted to downgrade from my update Official ICS back to the stock GingerBread ROM. (This is to prevent any problems to install the new custom ICS. Read on forum also*)
During the wipe, CWM got stucked at somewhere at the start of the process (Forgotten what it was). It was about more than 15minutes before I made my decision to stop it by holding the power button. Obviously this caused a bootloop or something like a soft brick (Stuck at boot screen).
After the first brick encounter, I tried to fix it by flashing the stock GingerBread ROM directly with Odin without wiping anything as it was stucked in the first step. By doing this, I think I had a Super Brick as the installation also got stucked at loading factoryfs.img image file. There's no solution to this as I looked up in the forums for quite some time.
So, I cancelled the installation and my phone wouldn't start up again. There's no sign of battery charging when plugged in and it wouldn't start by holding the power button. Unable to access recovery/download mode. Odin also didn't recognize my device.
Can anyone here kindly advice me on what should I do now? In deep sad mode -.-

Stop irritating him. How do you feel if your phone got bricked and don't know what to do.
Coming to the topic. You did not follow basic steps, you used the wrong method of rooting that to on ICS. Don't think that your phone is bricked. Did you flash any custom kernel. I think you were trying too many things and your phone is dead. This happened to me once, I thought my phone is bricked and didn't know what to do. But I remembered I had a external battery adapter charger and charged my battery separetly and know what it worked. Try charging your phone separetly.

All the best to you.
I'm sorry to post in the wrong section of the forum. It was my mistake to not read instructions carefully.
Now I have sent it to the service center and waiting for their response. But I didn't do anything like put my phone in the microwave or anything.
So does that means they will find out that I did something to my phone and void my warranty?

Okay I got this from the post, so I'm gonna elaborate this to you so you do it correctly, okay? Note this, I'm using the XDA app to reply this.
1. Turn on USB debugging.
2. Open Odin on your computer. Select OPS - AriesVE.ops(Odin) and Select BOOT - Boot_loader.tar.
3. Turn off your phone and go into Download Mode(Volume Down + Home + Power Button)
4. Connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable.
5. Check Odin. If Odin detects your phone, it will appear yellow and state Com: 0 or something like that.
6. Then, flash your phone. Wait for it to complete the process and let Odin reboot your phone.
If problem still persist, please do tell me.
Another note, this is base on my experience and I'm not on or near my computer. So I'm sorry if anything happens.
Good luck!

Many thanks, I've got it sorted and running a Jellybean Rom again! Hurray! I thought I had messed it up forever. Lesson learned. Will not try that again............
Your welcome! I hope my assist helped you whether big or small!
Just make sure, you do the regular protocols, backup everything and wipe data etc.
If you want a fresh phone(meaning to delete your current/older rom for a newer one), you could always format system(formatting the system will delete your ROM, meaning your phone will not boot until you flash another ROM).

It's my LG 4x Bricked? Help CWM!

Hello.
I've search my problem in forum but I didn't found a answer. PLEASE, can anyone help me, I have a LG 4x and I've tried to flash CWM image from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2298420 but I cannot entry after that in Software Update ( Volume - and Power button) and not even in (Volume + Home and Power Button).
I get this error:
[LGE _SECURITY]error: boot image signature
[LGE _SECURITY]5 seconds after power is turned off for power saving
My phone starts very well, I can talk from him but I can not make Factory Reset and flash back the stock rom.
Sorry for my english and I hope someone can help me!
Thank you!
A little search for "error: boot image signature" would've get you to the conclusion that you have to flash stock ROM through LG Flash Tool.
Search for it and follow the instructions.
EDIT: Why the hell do you post on a thread related to this and then open the exact same as a new thread?
I hope to clarify this for you once:
Our 4X HD is nearly unbrickable and every little problem has already a thread over here somewhere.
Just invest a few minutes on searching (Google helps) and try it and don't open a new thread for every little thing!

Hi
If you want to enter SW mode, just push Volume - and put usb on your phone.
Not use power button.

How the **** do you expect to install a custom recovery without unlocking the bootloader?
I'd suggest that you stop asking stupid questions, go away, search and READ before trying anything else. The instructions have been covered so many times that it shouldn't be hard for you to find them.
