Its a the Rii mini, a chinese manufactured keyboard. Great little gadget and It works great with my Streak. No problems with connection and all keys are working properly. A lot of functions, great battery live ( up to 700 hours). Dongle is a bluetooth device for pc without such a feature. But be careful to order the bluetooth version, because an alternate keyboard with exactly same looks and name is sold as wireless 2.4 Gh version. In my happiness I almost ordered the wrong one. Otherwise good choice.

Dell dident tell the Truth about the Streak

For those of you who don't know there is another version of this device call the streak or dell mini 5 witch is a 5inch tablet but it makes normal calls like a normal phone so its a tablet phone now dell pushed this new streak 7 as the same as the streak 5 just a better CPU and 7inch not 5 now how can you say its the same when the one thing that would make it the same is not there a phone???

Streak7 as a phone?
I didn't get the impression it could be used as a phone, either. I know someone hacked the US version(s) of the Galaxy Tab on T-Mobile to get it to work as a phone but not sure if the Streak7 can be made that way.
I, too, would love to use this as a phone since I always use a headset (wired and/or Bluetooth). If it wasn't for the battery life of the Streak7, I'd really want to use it as a phone.

Why would you want to use this to make phone calls? this thing is huge and so is the tab, I would do it just for the sake of doing it but i can imagine having this to my ear for longer than 5 minutes

Dell Streak Boot deleting everything

so when i reboot my streak it deletes all my downloaded items.
i tried hard reset but nothing happens.
it does not let me start out FRESH...help please!

Another one that refuses to use the amazing and ever so simple search function...
Ok now that I got that off my chest... you probably have the fanous READ ONLY problem commin to many Streak 7... send it in to dell is the ONLY fix that we know of

Does it delete all installed programs, or just downloads? If it is everything, then it is most likely the mysterious read only problem.

just downloads.
and if i set a setting on settings it would return to default.

Return it to Dell for repair. Have you called them? I have had good success with their support folks.

i have called them but i have bought this from a previous owner.
they said i had to be the original owner for return :[

Contact the prior owner and ask if either they can call them or you can "be" them to get it corrected. How is Dell to know who exactly they are speaking to.

Streak 7 front cam

Does anyne else have trouble getting the front cam on the streak 7 to work?
I was trying to skype with another streak 7 but neither of our devices will show the front cam, only the back. Should I try & send back for repairs or is there a fix somewhere?

I have the same issue, almost with any video calling app, I remember reading somewhere that it just wasn't supported.

You need to upgrade to honeycomb. Skype on Android 3.2 will allow front camera. Read this post.
