Hi
Should it not be possible to make CM6 run on the 2X? People talk about we need Gingerbread drivers from LG (would take time) to make a fully functional 2.3 ROM, so I thougt why not use CM6 until 2.3 arrive? CM6 is atleast way better than LG 2.2 stock...

I'm also wondering if this wouldn't be possible? CM6 is still alot better then LGs froyo, and it's enough till CM7 is ready.
Yes it is possible, O2X is very hack-friendly, some people are working on it atm, maybe they will present the results soon
great can't wait
Me neither. And now, if only there would be a media player that would play HW-accelerated 720P MKVs also, I would make sweet, sweet love with my phone.
This would indeed be wonderful! Anyone know if there are a Tegra2 player coming? Shouldnt be that far away since there are many phones/Tablets coming with Tegra2

So, I've trying to run NOVA 2 on my Captivate, and I really loved Gingerbread (specifically Mosaic III Diet), so naturally I wanted to run it on gingerbread. Everything was fine on Froyo (Firefly3), but as soon as I switched, it wouldn't load the first level at all. I thought this was weird, because it was a game designed FOR gingerbread. Ideas?
Works fine for me...

Just feeling around for some info. Im planning on giving my NC to my mother, should I update to 2.2 and reroot? Shes a tech savy girl and i've shown her the NC on 2.1 rooted with full google apps and she loved it. Im thinking 2.2 would work best for her reading habbits, running the uptodate B&N software and all.

Anyone there?
"update to 2.2 or reroot"
What do you mean by that?
Stock ROM is version 1.2, running Froyo 2.2
CM7 ROM is Gingerbread 2.3.4 now
and "reroot"? you meant put the stock rom back in?
Sorry for the mix up. Im running B&N 1.1 Android 2.1, and was wondering if B&N 1.2 Android 2.2 was good update for my mother. I auto nooterd 1.1 and am wonderig if i should move to B&N 1.2 and auto booted it again.

I'm running B&N 1.2 rooted.
The good news: Flash, and YouTube runs better.
The bad news: battery life seems to be a bit worse and you lose the "reading now" capability.
Other than that, I haven't seen a lot of difference (I mainly use it read and provide convenient web access).

Then I think you should update to stock 1.2 (Froyo 2.2) since it's more robust and offers more features such Flash supported.
Ok, thanks for the info, ill update it to her then.

Had to add more confusion, but you may want to check out the latest miui for the nook. Its awesome and I feel miui suits the nook far better than it does for phones.

+1 for miui - have played with it on sd card and will go from MNooter 1.2 to this, it really is nice
Which one do you prefer?
A fast, smooth and complete CM6 with Video Recording AV not syncing/Lags
or
a super CM7 with Accelerometer Lags?
CM7 is still in development. This is the main reason why I prefer Gingerbread I'm counting days to the Ice Cream Sandwitch. This might be something special
Definitely CM7 because of the theme chooser and the cool "edge-glow"-overscroll-effect
By the way:
I´m using GingerDx 011 right now, and it´s smoother than my old miniCM6 was before.

Well I use CM6: FroyoBread, it also has the theme chooser and the edgeglow. Just like GB. Before, I am using GDX because it has complete camera. But the Accelerometer is lagging.. so I went back to FroyoBread now. FroyoBread has similar features with GDX. So for now, I choose CM6, practically bugless & complete, and CM7 is still in development..
CM6 FroyoBread or Krauser SROM or MiniCM6
These are my favorite ones. I also like KuyaDROID but it has a lot of bugs already, because CM7 is under development. CM6 is now practicaly bugless (And thanks again to jkrauser2, you solved one of the biggest bugs on CM6, one of the reasons that disapointed me on CM6 and make me went to CM7 a lot of times because i record a lot of videos with my phone xD [No money to buy a VideoCamera, i used the rest of my money to buy my 800€ Home/Gaming computer xD] )
I chose CM6. I think I might have to go back to Froyobread until later relases of GingerDX. With CM6 I just felt everything was much more polished, and also the accelerometer lag and screen issues are annoying.

i mean - if my phone came with sence why its laggy ? isnt it was built for this UI ?
whats the point of having HTC then? i could have just bought nexus s if thats the case...
still needs help..

I dunno then mine sure as hell doesn't..
Not on sense or cm7 but especially not on cm7.
Cm7 can also be themed, mine looks exactly like sense...
Anyhow tl:dr -lrn2mod
Make sure your not running garbage like getjar and feint they run in the background. Get a CPU monitering client to see what's running in the background.
