URGENT HELP NEWBIE! CANT HEAR OR BE HEARD ON THE XDA 2S!

I have tried searching everywhere but i cannot find anyone with a similar problem.
I have an o2 XDA 2s which so far has been the best phone PDA i have used.
However, I have one small problem sometimes which happens about once in every ten calls i answer or dial, I cant hear anything the person on the other end is saying and they cant hear me too. However, I am able to make/recieve calls as normal if i do a soft reset which takes about 2 mins, rather irritating. Has anyone had a similar experience? Its just so fustrating when the phone is such a superb phone that this rather small problem happens.
Please can someone advise me on what the best thing to do is, I have tried a hard reset but this has not solved anythinga and the problem remains.
Should i try upgrade using the upgrades provided for the XDA 2S on the o2 site? i understand this flashes the ROM or something. Is this easy to do and is there a chance of doing worse damage when flashing? also my XDA which is an O2 phone is unlocked onto all networks, i.e. orange, tmobile, vodafone, does this mean if i flash the rom that i will lose the unlocked networks and be stuck on O2? I would be very grateful if someone could advise a newby as to how i could rectify this problem on what otherwise is a superb phone.

I use 2 Blue Angels with 2 ROMs 2 versions at the same time,one is WM2003 radio 1.13 and the other is WM5 radio 1.15.Both face the same problems as yours.
After I uninstalled O2 Active user interface from both Blue Angels,that problem was fixed.
If you have O2 Active user interface installed,remove it and see if it is fixed or not.

I've had the same issue on my Orange M2000. Apparently it's bluetooth related and a couple of ROM updates do actually improve it.

I don't think it's anything to do with the O2 software; the same problem affects Orange devices. Try updating with the official updates, if that doesn't work search the forum for "silent call" and you will hopefully find someone discussing which ROMs are the best for this issue.

1) What firmware are you using.
2) Do you use bluetooth or wired headset
2) Why is this so URGENT sounds like you've had the problem for a while.

I permanently keep my bluetooth on which so far is working...

rom version 1.40.00WWe
Radio Version 1.15.00
I have not flashed or hard reset my phone asi thought it may make things worse!

Update with the O2 D/L...
As you have XDA IIs, and are on O2 why not update with the official update from O2? It'll upgrade your ROM and fix a couple of known issues with the PDA... I used this 'new' ROM for some time before flashing to WM5, and it worked flawlessy. even with the O2 Active installed (which is bloatware anyway!)...

Or you could flash with a base ROM and use a Cooked Ext ROM to get the apps you want, or take the plunge and get WM5!! It's all in the Wiki, and quite simple if you read a little

WM6 Audio Problems

Hello All,
I was just wondering if any of you have come across the following problem.
My wife and I both have HTC P4350 devices that are not SIM Locked in any way.
When we were using WM5 the devices worked perfectly, but with WM6 after a while, the ring-tone (and all audio that we play on the device) is played faster (and at a higher pitch) than usual. It sounds almost as though someone is spinning the LP record too fast
Has anyone here come across the same problem? If so... do any of you know of a solution as it is a really annoying fault.
Before anyone asks.... I have found this problem on 3 devices now, so I don't think that it is a problem with the actual devices.
Any comments would be appreciated.

I have Imate JAmin. It also was working finewith mw5 but with theupgrade to MW6 I am facing the same problem spicialy with MID ringtones

I am sorry to hear that you also have the same problem. Sadly, I don't have a solution, and no-one else on this site seems to have this problem.
I wish that I could answer it!!
I have since tried the update on a third device and it also has the same problem.
It is definitely a problem with the ROM!!
If you hear of a solution, I would LOVE to know about it.

I was just wondering if you have found a solution to the audio problem yet.
Could the problem be due to the network provider? Which network provider do you use?
I have now tried the upgrade with 3 different machines, and they all have the same problem.
Is it even possible that this type of problem could be caused by the network?
Any opinions would be gratefull!!!!

I have been using my HTC Touch for more than 1 and half year, recently it start to have this problem, mp3 or ringtone become fast (high pitch). Any solution???

Hello I am also having this issue with a Tmobile Dash. I am using Kavanah's WM6.1 ROM.
I was wondering is this an issue that can be fix by changing something in the registry? I did a hard and soft reset on this device. It worked the first time I played an mp3. Once I used it a second time it started playing fast.

Problem with the wired head set

Guys I’m having some issues with the wired head set.
I don’t know if with the implementation of the topaz ported version or what but is like if some noise cancelation is running or something
When I’m not speaking there is a lot of noice but when I speak the noise disappears
Any of yo having the issue, I’m goin to try with a original rom to see is is my head set or the rom but I would like to know I any of you notice

We could probably be more helpful if you tell us what ROM you're using and when the issue started. If you haven't had an issue until you've flashed a certain ROM, then there's your answer. If the issue started without any changes whatsoever to your device, then that's a different story
If it is ROM related, you really need to post this in that ROM's forum, so other users can let you know if they have the same issue with the same ROM.

but as far as i can tell it happend to me with almost every of the last roms that i try wm6.5 o wm 6.1.
i think that is not related with the hwad set couse i can hear perfectly and when i speak there is no noise
btw the noice is listened for the otrer person i cant really hear anything bad the people toldme that the cant hear me.
may be a broblem with the usb conecto.. just want to know if any one else know a bout some thing like that before i try to open the phone

guys im trying to flash my phone with a official rom but it say that the rom does not aply to may phone i alsowent to htc web site and try to doun load a rom, then i had to put my s/n and there also apear that the rom is not compatible with my device..
why this may happend i'm pretty shure i have a american Diamond so why the dont letme download o flash a oficial rom?

No sound when in call

When in a call i am not able to hear any sound. Then when i switch it to speakerphone it works fine.
I thought my speaker are not working i changed my speakers. But the problem still there.

I have the same issue, it happened suddenly when i was in a call when i stopped listening to te call, so i had to switch to speaker.I did hard reset , changed rom nothing happened.When i call myself i can hear the busy tone, but when i call someone nothing happens!!!Any ideas???

I'm too make a hard reset, but work only a few hours.
I try to use android, but the same result, in audio calls i'm not listen nothing.

i am out of warantee too...the only solution i found is by using speaker and reduce the volume so that i don't get deaf...

excuse me for my bad english first, i probe to change my rom from energy rom to romeo2 3.0.1, and change the radio for 1.11.25.01, and that works in my case. I have one day half with the new change and i don't any trouble with the call phones. I change too the AudioPara3csv for the better sound in the mobile and all the stuffs works fine.

Have u tried a different radio for your diamond? When i had that prob with my Kaiser that solved the problem

[Q] HD7 update problem related to U2M8107(?)

Hello everyone,
I would like to ask you if you know a way I can remove the U2M8107 and the effects it has from my HD7. The problem is I never put this in my phone and I do not know what it does. I know that I can't update my phone now for some months as the OS version I have is 7.5.
Additionally to this I have a startup screen of a car that says "Designed by ansar".
I know this is a noobish question but search engines only brought me to this forum.

Update:
Okay I managed to update my phone using a cab file I found here after reading for some hours ^^. The tutorials are very helpful and detailed. The only problem is that now under the information of the phone itself, it says it is a Nokia Lumia 800. However I'm sure it was for a HD7. Anyway the phone is working fine but this is the only issue.
