That is my aim with unity, to bring software and hardware together. In the case of the Nexus S, it is a very nice black and the SAMOLED screen has some of the best blacks I've ever seen. Because of this, I am trying to use dark colours where appropriate to help seamlessly blend the screen with the surrounding hardware.
This is a work in progress, I'm just getting it ready now instead of posting separate threads everywhere for separate apks etc. Feel free to incorporate anything from my theme into any ROMs etc, as long as I am mentioned in the credits.

Use volume and power to select 'choose zip from sdcard'
Find the unityXXX.zip file you placed earlier
Using volume and power, select 'Yes - Install unityXXX.zip'
Reboot, and you're done!
Notes
[CM7 Based ROMs] If you are having troubles actually seeing the changes after successfully applying the theme, make sure you are using the System theme in Theme Chooser.
[General] If you are having issues, check and see if you are using the correct download version for your ROM, also try checking the MD5 sum to see if you need to download a new copy.
[General] The screenshots are from my CM7 installation, if you are on stock, you will not have the toggles up the top. This is a CM7 feature, not part of my theme.
[Stock/MoDaCo/Axura] As of 1.2.0/1.2.1 you will not have a H icon when using HSDPA, as it is based on stock. This will be added in the next release, don't fret
Enjoy! As always, feedback is appreciated, and I will try to fix any issues that arise. If you enjoy my work, you can always Donate or hit the 'Thanks' button.

Can do, I'd forgotten about the search bar, I never use it personally, and I don't have it on my homescreens either
EDIT: You're referring to GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk right? Just checking
The third party apps i mainly use are handcent sms, foursquare, shopkick, facebook, twitter. I'd appreciate you working on these.

1.0.1 is up, all I have done for this is to merge the CM7 and Stock versions together, to make everything simpler. If anyone has any issues with it (specifically on a stock ROM/Axura) please let me know. I have tested it with GBCollab 1.08 (CM7 based) and it works fine so I assume there won't be any problems.
I am currently working on SystemUI, framework-res and GoogleQuickSearchBox for future versions, if you would like others to be added to the 'future' list, just let me know.
Updates may be a bit slow until next weekend, please bear that in mind.
I like the simple and sleek look you've got going.
1.1.0 is up, contains a partially themed SystemUI.apk. Could someone running either stock, MoDaCo or Axura please test it out and report back on their experiences? It works perfectly for me on CM7.
Thanks, and enjoy

Yeah, lol, I know, but the idea of 'hardware and software embracing each other' is kinda gone that way. How well the blacks look on SC-LCD, they just won't blend the screen with the surrounding hardware.

Ok the reason behind that is I had modified the updater-script to delete CameraGoogle.apk and install Camera.apk. I hadn't been able to test it out however, so you're saying that there was no camera at all?
I might have to revert back to 2 branches consider 1.1.0 a CM7 only version for now, 1.1.1 will fix this.

Ok, let's move on:
This is my FIRST theme, but i've spent a lot of time in tweaking a lot of things.
I'm trying to make it compatible with most popular roms, BUT i'm mainly using SuperD 1.9.3 with Wesgarner kernel for the base theme. This means that there are differences between theme versions because of eclair bits not present in some roms (aka dwang, theOfficial...).

your notification icons E/3G/Usb/Stat error don't match with your statusbar. also, the drawer tab is a little off. it looks like u just copy and pasted the top portion onto the black portion. the top half needs to be wider just 1 touch on both sides so that the lines match up with the bottom. otherwise, everything else looks great!

O Yes Cant Wait For TheOfficial Rom Version, And If Going To Make A Second Color For This In The Future, Can It Please Be Pink And Black
Keep Up The Tremendous Work
Added TheOfficial AOSP v.2.6.1.
Themed standard apps and "exp_theme" apps, being compatible with Enom's "theme profile"
I need feedback on those versions 'cause i'm not using those roms atm...
Thanks!
First impressions are that this is a wonderful theme. You have clearly done a lot of excellent work to make this look amazing. Thank you -- I will be using this theme as long as you keep making a version for the ROM I use.
Some caveats, though:
1) First boot after flashing took significantly longer than I expected. In the neighborhood of 7 minutes.
2) When the first boot completed and I entered my SIM card's pin number, the phone automatically rebooted. I am not sure why this occurred, but it was the first time I had experienced this on my ROM.
3) This is small, but removing the line above "android" and below "ADWone" on the boot screen may be more aesthetically pleasing.
Since the second boot, I have not had any issues. Excellent work - thank you!
PS, what's the program you're running in the 5th screenshot, that says "Galeria"?
this theme is nice it runs buttery smooth on enomther's AOSP 2.6.1 rom

Information
This is basically a theme I've been working on for Desire, until I sold it. So I've decided to continue the effort as soon as I got my hands on Desire HD. Of course back then it was just a custom framework-res. I've decided to look around the forums for some nice features to add and create a flashable zip for the extra convenience. I was pleased with the result, so I thought I'd share it with the rest of you; some might enjoy it as much as I do.
This theme is in no way 100% my own work. As i've said I mostly put it all together. The App-Pack is taken from MattedBlues, as well as some of the notification icons. This theme might turn out different in the future, as I'll continue working on it (slowly, as there's not much spare time due to various obligations). The least you can expect is keeping it up to date with the current CM releases.
Anyway, I'd like to give major credits to the following people:
// APP-Pack & partial Framework-res
Jabbawalkee and Beatblaster. Your work is truly appreciated; major props (permissions granted)!

Really enjoying this slick theme, (although I changed the font) I like the really clean statusbar. Is there a way to disable the signal strength bars and the dbm at the same time, permanently?
I also noticed the bar across the bottom of the tabs doesn't quite reach the whole way, I assume because I increased the LCD density.

Would be nice to upload a few pictures that indicate the problem, but it's possible that it's caused by the lcd density - people have reported inconsistencies with their themes at times when they change the density.

I guess it depends in the area, fortunately it's not that common.
If we eventually get an official CM port, i will have to check if the theme is safe to flash first, as there might be differences in the framework files.

PS: I haven't forgotten you, Kalavere! I will do what you asked tomorrow, as it's been a hard day today.

Theme port based off Jumba's NeonGT Version 1.8 + original artwork.
Many thanks and credits to the original creator for a very sharp theme.
For those of you who do not like the fonts, they are not included. That was just what I had on my phone at the current time.
Your fonts will remain in place and no fonts are included in this theme.

AOSP Lock
Puzzle Lock
With this version you will notice that just about everything has been redone. I have expanded the style scheme with some animations, shadowing effects and reconfigured the font scheme as well. Plus many, many more!
You should notice some overall speed increases, a new UI appeal and potentially less battery usage.
Once again, I strongly recommend wiping your dalvik-cache to get the most from this release.
Maintenance Realease 1 (Previous version & DL09 ONLY)
^^ Download link ^^
The main framework has been completely rebuilt for speed. The UI is now in control and it now incorporates a much better style scheme. You will notice the dark transparent backgrounds have returned and we are now running on a custom font color and shadowing effects. plus many more...
This is a universal patch (DL09 ONLY). So whether you are running the aosp lock or the puzzle lock version, this is for you!
I strongly recommend that you wipe your dalvik-cache as well as your cache!

The lock screen zip from adrynalyne in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10580111&postcount=57 will give you a nice green/gray themed AOSP lock screen to replace the puzzle lock.

I noticed that as well. Also on menus where you hit "more" to get more options the second pop-up is still the transparent black that is hard to read.

You could ask him if you could just include it but its not necessary. If you just flash adryns zip after the theme it will replace it and the theme will take hold for the new lock screen too.

I haven't got around to asking yet but I did take a look at it. It appears the android.policy is the only thing changed. So yes you can flash this over.
I am partial to my puzzle lock but I do have this done and merged into the full theme. After I get his ok I can upload a new zip. This way people can pick the puzzle lock version or aosp lock version.

As you can see, this is my first post here. The work you all do is unbelievable, so thanks for it all! With that said, I have an issue. Hatespawn, you're saying I can flash Adryn's zip after this theme, and it should replace the puzzle lock? If so, it doesn't seem to be working for me. Running DL09 modem, 1230 nonvoodoo kernel. The puzzle lock screen persists. I've tried flashing it via CWM both with and without wiping data/cache. What am I doing wrong?
Wow, this looks great! The only thing I don't like is the font, how hard would it be to change it to something sans serif? At some point I want to learn how to do this myself but i haven't found a good tutorial or instructions yet, although i imagine it's not too hard.
Note to Users
Because of my growing frustration with Samsung, I have decided to focus my efforts on theming aosp and will not be updating TOB from this point on. I am grateful for all the interest and support you guys have shown for this theme, but all good things must eventually come to an end. I'm not sure how much longer I will have a Fascinate, but I am sure that I will be running aosp/cm builds for the rest of the time that I do. If anyone would like to take this project over feel free to do so.

Features
- Themed statusbar and dropdown menu.
- Themed lockscreens.
- Themed Android & Samsung widgets.
- Themed dialer with optional voicemail button defaults.
- Themed progress bars, menu options, etc.
- Accurate battery and reboot options.
- Fully debinged browser and Samsung keyboard.
- Option to remove the statusbar clock.
- Themed LP+ widgets (separate download below).
- Optional Modified TW Launcher.
Recent Updates
(3/10) - Added tab/rotary lockscreen music controls by sbrisssen. I did not personally test as I'm on aosp, but I'm positive it will work.
(3/1) - Changed update script to edify for support with new cwm 3.0 (although I'm not sure how necessary this is atm). Confirmed working with regular and red cwm.
(3/1) - Grabbed Adrynalyne's Settings.apk for compatibly with SuperClean 2.x. I tested and confirmed it working with deodexed eb01 and SuperClean 2.6 (and 2.7 before it was pulled).
(3/1) - Resolved phone force close issues. AOSP answer is now the default, and it is themed with a blue in-call gradient.
(3/1) - Menu unlock is now removed from AOSP lockscreen (thanks to sbrissen).
(2/27) - Added all of sbrissen's latest mods ..... clock options in settings, carrierless lockscreens, aosp answer, etc. Yes, he is a beast.
(2/27) - Themed Launcher2.apk for those that prefer to use it (like myself).
(2/27) - Themed Phone.apk to remove green in-call gradient fill (per suggestion). It is now blue and looks great.
(2/27) - Removed several irrelevant download links from OP (i.e. tw gtglauncher). For those that like touchwiz stuff, I highly recommend that you check out CrushD's recent mods found here (particularly the launcher).
(2/21) - Added my own version of the reworked dialer. The voicemail button now defaults to carrier voicemail (i.e. *89). Also added three optional dialers that default to (1) google voice (2) youmail and (3) visual voicemail in the extras section below. To install one of the optional dialers, extract the zip and flash the appropriate version via CWR.
(2/21) - Themed google search, facebook, market (thanks 00.ante), and youtube apks added. They are all based on the most recent updates. See pictures above to see how they look.
(2/15) - Included my reworked quickpanel. Text below quick panel buttons now read "Data" and "Rotation." This does away with the unsightly double lines without removing the text completely like other themes do.

Sent you a private msg about the battery. Don't know if there is a way to make it work but I would like it to count down using 1's instead of like 10's (ie. 50,49,48,47). Not like it is now counting down by 10's or whatever.
Thanks

Because I used the Samsung battery as a base, this is the only option I have. They used a total of 13 pngs, I think, which count down by 10's (with a random 35, 65, and a 0). The only way to change it would be to create the additional battery screenshots, which is indeed no small task (and is probably why nobody has themed the Samsung battery). I plan to edit the circle battery d with the blue for those who would like a more accurate battery. I personally don't mind the countdown by 10's

EDIT: I just flashed it three straight times on Super Clean .9 (DJ05). It works. There was a problem with my update script. Redownload and flash after flashing theme. Let me know the results.
Here is a theme I've been working on for the last few weeks or so. It's built over top of the Paragon rc6 Blue Theme that was originally made by eSPyeL and then themed blue by Bentonhall. Nearly everything in the notification bar and dropdown are completely originaly work by myself. It also features a new bootanimation that I put together.
I assume this would work with other ROMs (Paragon rc6 is JS3 based). If you try it on something else, please let me know if it works or not. I can also work on ports if there's interest.
My main hope was to make something somewhat different than other themes (so it didn't look like a copy) and to make all indicators very obvious (boxy). I wanted something simple and clean looking but still be visually appealing. I personally liked it, so I now share it with you. Hope you enjoy!!!
If anyone has suggestions for later versions (colors or variations on icons), let me know. I don't intend to theme any apps (I'll leave those to the actually good themers ). I hope to later release a "Rectangular Red", "Orthogonal Orange", and "Gerpendicular Green" (if someone's got some better names, I'm open to suggestions ). Let me know what colors you'd want first and I'll try to satisfy the masses (assuming there's more than just me interested in this theme!).
Changes:
1.1 to 1.2
Newer dropdown button icons (cleaner)
Black notification bar
New pulldown menu bottom
Updated themed dialer
Themed Settings.apk
Updated Go Launcher Theme (v2.1)
1.0 to 1.1
Themed unlock screens
Newer dropdown button icons
Removed text under dropdown buttons
Themed dialer
Several tweaks to the notification icons
Go Launcher Theme (Made some icon backgrounds--5 random colors--see screen shots. You need to have Go Launcher Ex for this to work.)
Future Changes?
Themed Contacts
Boxy Blue Theme v1.2
Screen Shots in the second post!
Thanks goes to:

Theme update
Due to the lack of responses to this theme, I've tried to spruce it up! I've re-done a lot and added some more elements.
Please take a look and I'd love some feedback (again, please be gentle since this is still a work in progress and the continuation of my first attempt at a theme)!
For those who care, I just posted an update to the theme. There's a good chance I'll move to a different ROM since Paragon is stagnant. Perhaps I'll get with the times and try out one of those new fangled gingerbread ROMs.
Again, comments would be very welcome to let me know what I've done right/wrong. I still plan to theme whatever ROM I use (at least for my personal enjoyment), so I'd like to know what others think.
I just tried downloading the update, I couldnt get the link to work. Could be my browsers. I did try on a few and nothing. Awesome to hear its updated, that was quick and ill be sure to test it out if I can get it downloaded. I to will be movin on as other roms arise. But ill always find my way back to Paragon some how, hope for an update in the future.

On another note, I've been on CM7 the last few days and have enjoyed it. I would like to try to make a theme for that. We'll see if CM7 feels as stable as Paragon has been .

I could work on one. Which GB ROM are you using? It might take a little while, but I'll get it done. I want to try my hand at a CM7 theme, but since they use the theme changer, they're a bit different (anyone have experience making a CM7 theme apk?).
Also, if you like the theme, would you mind bumping up the thread rating? It seems someone hit it with a 2 star rating without leaving any sort of comment why. It can be a little discouraging.

What's up CapnPez, hey I use CM7 and just wanted to pass on that there are also themes that are in zip format and can be flashed from CWM3. While the theme Chooser is pretty sweet, there are other flashable themes as well. Just wanted to pass it on!

Thanks, that's cool to know. Do you know if there are any limitations to the theme chooser (things that can be done through flashing a zip but can't be done with the chooser)?
I'm also assuming that a flashable zip theme from another GB rom would be incompatible with cm7, right? (so making a zip cm7 theme wouldn't help for making one that would work with, say, gr-12 or something?) I'd like to make a chooser theme apk because the huge convenience when using cm7.
I'm still learning with the newer stuff (not that I'm a master of the froyo stuff), so I might need to spend some time on the q & a section .

I'm not sure. I know the developer of the matted blues theme wont make an apk version for theme Chooser..and I'm not positive but I think it has something to do with the updates and compatibility. And yeah your right, you could probably get away with a Ginger theme for JVB because a lot of gingerbread ROMs use that..however, CM7 is completely different and would probably need a different script or whatever.

Coincidently, I was just looking at the matted blues theme. I do notice the constant need to update with each of the nightlies. I wonder why that is. You think Thnikk would mind me picking his brain about that?
