Screen Protectors?

Had anyone seen screen protectors being made for this phone? I wonder how well they will work on a curved display.
MT4G (HTC Glacier) using XDA app.

I read somewhere Zagg invisibleShield will be available.

Just out of curiousity, why would you want a screen protector? All of Samsuns S models have gorilla glass. The screen is virtually impossible to scratch.

+1, I agree, screen protectors are not that useful IMHO

i agree too. never heard that samsung screens were scratched by something else than a diamond. Who else has diamonds in his pocket alle the time?

BestSkinsEver has been good about offering protectors within a few days of a phone being on the market. Nearly identical to the Zagg InvisibleShield at about a quarter the price (follow them on facebook for weekly discount codes).

Skinomi protector is already out. I just ordered mine and should get it next week.

To the "It's gorrilla glass" people, doesn't matter. It can still scratch. My Captivate has a very few small scratches on it. However, I still vastly prefer the naked glass to the noticable only under the right light and cleanliness scratches.

Do we know that it's gorilla glass? Since the screen is curved, all bets are off.
My favorite protectors are the ones by dcmugen88 (eBay) and Martin Fields. They are basically the same but Martin Fields is crazy expensive. Sadly dcmugen doesn't have any items for sale right now.

Saw this one in AMAZON. Doesn't look bad at all, ad lifetime replacement sounds nice.

Had a Samsung Fascinate that has a tiny scratch. You can barely see it unless you get the lighting just right on it but its still annoying. Of course I don't carry around diamonds or do anything rough with it but gorilla glass can be scratched by certain things so do your research. I have a Nexus S now and I probably plan on getting a screen protector this time but who knows. I just get thrown off with having to spray something on my device to get the InvisibleSHIELD on.

Had invisibleshield put on as BB said they would do it no charge. Had Ghost Armor on my Incredible and this does not have as good a feel (imo) BB said give it a day so I will.

I am expecting to receive my O2X tomorrow, and obviously looking forward to it. I've been trying to find a screen protector (and case ala casemate..) but so far havent been able to find any ready for delivery in Denmark.
While googling, I came across an unboxing video which seems to show a screen protector fitted from the factory??

Can someone please confirm that a screen protector is already fitted when unboxed?
Also, any recommendations for a decent case for the O2X? I use a casemate barely there for my hd2, but havent been able to find similar cases for O2X yet.

If you want something like the casemate, I would have gone for the official LG CCH-120 (which also has a kickstand). I'm looking for something to protect my LG Optimus 2X when moved around as well, but I'm more of a pouch guy. I wouldn't want to cover such a beauty! I found a neoprene pouch with a closing flap at Amazon.co.uk which would've fitted nicely, but they don't ship outside of the UK.

Yeah saw the CCH-120 and seems nice, but unknown delivery dates in denmark at the moment - will probably buy it later on when its released.
If I occasionally drop my phone its usually while im using it, making a pouch kinda pointless for me unless it lands on it

The O2X that 3 sells also comes with a screenprotector pre-fitted onto it.

So did mine is got from callme. I pulled it off, those protectors look even worse than scratches...

It's a crap plastic film that distorts the picture. Every phone made with a screen since 1990 comes with one...
Remove it immediately, it offers no practical protection for day to day use, it's to prevent minor scuffs in the box.

IMHO, I don't like paying for phone insurance so I'll usually case up my phone & screen protect it. This is my preferred company for screen protectors.

Its way too bloody expensive. I am not a soldier.

I always thought that gorilla glass could not be scratched with metallic materials. But when put against a rock it will still scratch. Or is this info wrong??

There are a lot of screen protectors and cases there. Just keep in mind they are often mislabeled SU-660 products, so have a good look at the pictures before you buy.
Screen protectors with a hole for the physical home button is for SU-660. Silicone covers with a hole in the corner next to the power button is for SU-660, will fit P990, but will have a useless hole in the corner. P990 covers usually don't have holes for power button and volume buttons.
If you prefer using screen protector, I would recommend buying more than the included one, as a plastic film isn't everlasting..

the brand "copter" has got a screen protector... feels kinda similar to invisible shield, but its just for the front... its good thou... washable..

Invisible Shield for Incredible S

I don't really like putting my gadgets in cases that make them any more bulky than they already are, and I've been using an Invisible Shield full-body set for my Tilt since '07. I ordered an Incredible S, and it seems there is a screen protector offered from ZAGG for the Inc S. I've had good mileage with the protectors for the Tilt, so here's to hoping they offer a full-body kit for the Incredible S as well as just the screen film.

Well looking at this they should do pretty soon anyway!

They only have the screen protector on the manufacturer site (ZAGG), though I'd imagine the full body protection can't be far behind. Then again, the unique back may prove to be a challenge.

I have an HTC Touch HD2 since one year and this is my first telephone with capacitive screen. I did not put any screen protector because the screen in made of glass so actually very difficult if not impossible to scratch. And after one year the screen has no sign of scratch. So, because the Incredible is capacitive screen too, so made of glass, what is the purpose of a screen protector?

I don't know about you, but I treat my gadgets pretty badly. I treat technology as a whole as a means to an end. I stuff my phone in my pocket with keys, I toss it across the table to friends, I generally abuse it. When I told my father you could take notes on my phone, he wrote on it with a ballpoint pen...
I use a screen protector, no matter what.

I'm also waiting on the official release from ZAGG for the Invisible Shield screen protector for my Incredible S.

The screen protection is available for something like 15 dollars, but full body protection still isn't available. I asked whether or not it was in the works, but got an evasive response... We might not be getting full body protection for it so I'm starting to keep an eye out for soft-touch cases (silicone, rubber-feel hard cases etc.).

It has Gorilla Glass (by Corning) which is tempered and resistant but not scratch proof. Eventually, it does get scratched which is why I'd like a screen protector as well.
The problem with screen protectors is they're cut so they cover the front camera and unfortunately that degrades the image quality of a camera that's already pretty limited.
I'll have to look into the XtremeGuard, but the main reason I like ZAGG is I've had their full body kit for my Tytn II for 3 years, and it has seen a ton of abuse. The skin did eventually get scratched, which I e-mailed ZAGG about and they offered a free replacement. I didn't really mind the scratch (it was on one of the side strips) so I didn't bother, but I like the way their representatives handled the situation.

All of the screen protectors I have received with cases for my IS (I have tried 3 different makes) have had a cut-out for the front facing camera

I ordered me an extreme guard screen protector off ebay for 2.99. Just like Zagg but way cheaper. I was gone do full body for 4.99 but I have my phone in a case. I think a case holds up against the impact of a drop better than a full body skin.

I normally look at amazon reviews. I am currently using a Casebase LG G3 glass screen protector, looking at amazon reviews in .DE and also .CO.UK this has the highest reviews as well
I am going to email Casebase now and ask them if they are making these for the upcoming LGG4 and if yes i will stick with them. You get 2 glass screen protectors in the pack and one of them is a spare

In regards to which protector would be best; I am not at liberty to make any judgement since I don't yet have the phone nor screen protectors. However, I would agree with the above poster that waiting for amazon reviews to come out is certainly in your best interest. Allow the other people to identify which products do and do not work. You'll save yourself time and money that way.

I've got a LG G3 and I ordered a screen protector from Amazon a while ago and it's a really great fit from a company called Casebase! I'm going to probably order another one for my G4. But as the previous comments have suggested you could wait for reviews and such, or you could use your previous experiences to make a purchase before hand, that's what I'm doing!

I'm a little hesitant with zagg-- after reading some of the people on other xda forums that have issues with them, and zero customer support, I would consider an enjoyable experience to be a lucky one as well. I've personally never had them because of the high price tag, but I've heard now several stories of how the quality has gone down the tubes in recent time. Again, this could be speculation, or what have you, but from what I've seen, the company is not what it used to be.

I managed to order the phone on saturday and also the casebase twin pack glass screen on saturday from amazon.de (they are showing in stock for the phone today as well which is way before release date) My tracking shows it should be here tomorrow. I will give you my honest opinion of the casebase glass screen protector when i have installed it
Regarding Zagg, they lost the screen protector game ages ago. They are just over priced and a known high street retail ripp of brand.
Companies like casebase, Spigen, Orzly, Luvitt all make good glass screen protectors at a third of the price online.

in my experience i would say yes
I have dropped my phone twice this last year and shattered the glass screen protector. When i have removed it my real screen underneath has been fine
I think glass screen protectors are the most essential accessory for any smart phone

What's to say that if there was no screen protector that the screen wouldn't have been fine? I haven't used a screen protector since the G1 and never had a screen shatter of crack yet. Even with various drops. Although I could just be lucky. Or it could be a false sense of security the protectors provide?

HI - In my opinion its not a case of false sense of security. Each time i have dropped my phone hard enough and the glass screen has broken im sure if it wasn't for this glass screen protection then the phone screen would of broke. It would of at least chipped it a little bit. Either way for me its not worth the risk. I change my phones once a year and buy them simm free so its not a risk worth taking

My LG G4 and casebase glass screen arrived yesterday. I can confirm the casebase Lg g4 glass screen is a perfect fit and covers all the corners as well. I will upload some pictures and maybe a short video over the weekend
The case i am using is a Orzly Lg g4 fusion case, it offers very solid protection around the sides but also shows of the back of the phone as the case is transparent on the back. All in all my phone looks gorgeous :good::good::good:

So this will be my first phone with a curved screen. I'm assuming that the screen protector will also be curved?

it's supposed to help in the prevention of the screen shattering. It does not guarantee it, but it certainly helps.

been looking for an alternative to whitestone. its my second install and the damn glass is lifting again in the side about mid height.
hope this gorilla brand yeild better and longer lasting results.

How did that turn out?

There are now really good entire self adhesive curved tempered glass protectors, the ones with only borders glue were garbage, I bought one MOSS brand, it is perfect, even ordered 2 more as spares some 8 dlls a piece

I got a Nillkin 3D Curved Tempered Glass from ebay a week ago and so far it seems very good. Its easy to install and goes well with my cover (Mofi from aliexpress).

Actually just order another one (this time from aliexpress) because I droped my note 8 and the screen protector broke... could've been worse.

You are a lucky men, better break 10 thousands protectors than the screen, if you have to replace the screen you loose the water resistance.
Also I wanted to see the case front , aliexpress don't show it in any photo.
