My GPS actually locked faster in my house with the new upgrade with the new TeleNav!
Will give this a try. thanks for sharing...

Wow! Great find! How come it (SprintNav) is not automatically updated to Telenav? The new UI is great and it sees I might be using this instead of Google Maps now.

Awesome, thanks OP. I was meaning to load SN back on after ACS Frozen but hadn't gotten around to it yet, now I don't need to. The old one doesn't even have to be installed for it to "upgrade"
The new traffic avoidance in google nav still needs some work, unless I just don't know how to use it.
Sent from my ACS frozen Epic
I have no idea why it is not automatically updated, a friend of mine pointed me to the update link.
Thanks for the heads up! Like others, I would never have known about this otherwise!
Sprint nav has always been my nav of choice but this is significantly better. Great find!

Wow, nice ui much better.

always like sprint navigator over google maps....will give this a try...thanks
It appears to run a service all the time: "ResourcePreLoaderService"?
I hate when apps do that. I don't want to waste resources on app while I'm not running it. I'll probably uninstall it for that very reason.
Awesome! Really fast! Hope it keeps satellite lock better than Sprint Nav did in. EB13.

how much better is it than google nav?
Is there any way to get that get premium button removed without getting premium
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
I don't think the premium offers much in the way of a premium offering. I don't use it enough to justify the price of it.

It seems to only run that service when it is running. I shut it down in task mngr after I closed it and I can't find that service. Correct me if I am wrong.
I tried it again it took me like 5 force closes to fully stop it. Yeah, that kinda sucks.
Hmmm....in diagnostics it still shows 10% for GPS and now 0 satellites when Sprint Nav showed 1. Anyone try this on a trip yet? Does it hold GPS lock? Sprint Nav drops constantly since EB13 upgrade.

In running services "ResourcePreLoaderService" for telnav most certainly runs constant and restarts its self if force stopped

yup, this is kind of annoying. But the application is definitely a nice upgrade. I always hated sprint navigation but this is pretty nice

Hey, has anyone managed to find a file in .apk format of the recently released alpha? they only way you can get it from mozilla's site is in a .install file, which, because of our darling At&t, we cant do anything with...
Got apk from here

Thanks for the link
I know it is alpha, but what are the thoughts so far on it? I find it very slow. I hope they can get gear monkey incorporated on this
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
They proboably won't start optimizing the code until it goes beta. Alpha is more about just getting the feature set right and making sure everything works moderatly well.
More than likely they re-used as much code as possible from the desktop variant (to get it going) which is def. not optimized for a mobile device.
It looks promising to me. I like the way tabs are handled and add-ons will be really cool if they ever take off (I need fire gestures).
Thanks for the link, dang you AT&T .........
It runs like crap, and fc randomly, dont know why they even released this to the puplic,
I will say this about, its much more functional than the pre alpha I've been testing the past couple weeks, certainly not ready for day to day use, but its nice to see mozilla making progress
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I know it's alpha, but as soon as I load it it freezes. They aren't kidding about alpha, maybe they should list it as nearly operable.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 (My phone is having and identity crisis, it boots to an i9000 screen then a Vibrant screen then loads the captivate rom lol)
It looks like it will be cool with the weave sync and all. Unfortunately I can't get it to run for more than a min without a force close.I did visit gmail and it wa formatted for an old flip type phone and just text...not for a smart phone like we are use to setting with an android browser.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I don't even get an FC. App just dies randomly. Otherwise, it looks really nice. I'm digging the interface. Once it gets stable, this will be my default browser

Good post!
Some apps gathered and despatched location information even when an application was not running and some sent updates every 30 seconds.

First of all, anyone have a list of the apps? And secondly, could the above be the reason that alot of people running Android suffer worse battery loss than others?
u can find a setting like that next to the gps switch in the settinngs menu

Nope, apps on the android market are not vetted or checked.
You are expected to check the permissions an app uses, and decide to install or not. When one of our team published an app, it appeared within seconds on the market available for install.

Im not so much annoyed they are getting information from me. At the end of the day there is very little information they can take.
BUT:
I am annoyed that apps are doing things I have not asked them too. Thats the single most annoying thing an application can possibly do!
I want my phone to do what I ask of it.
Not what some developer wants... What are they? A bunch of little steve jobs?!
Im glad the devs here are trustworthy..
NUKE THIS THREAD! Thank you mods.
I am creating a thread w/o the version name of the app in it as I plan on future updates and themes. Its become more extensive than just v 1.5.9.

Paying for their service actually does NOT give you unlimited skips. It gives you unlimited hours per month instead of the free 40 hours. Also it removes ads as well. The scumbag record labels probably won't ever allow unlimited skips.

Thanks for the app. No lag between songs!
Do these allow for unlimited listening even with a free account?
Pandora is not unlimited even if u pay for it.

I pay for the service so I hate that I can only skip 7 times. This works!
Cant wait to try this out, thanks a lot.
I also seem to have significantly less lag than on the non-themed 1.59 apk. I wonder if it's just placebo effect or do I actually have less lag? Sweet!
Ya I was thinking the same thing. The funny thing I notice is that when it does "lag", if I look at the widget, it will say loading, but if I open up the app it doesn't seem to stop as much.
Seems to lag more when I'm trying to use just the widget.
This is getting very annoying, my dock icons gets switched somehow to some V****, like vcast or their "APPS", why are they trying to push down the throat of their consumer crap that nobody wants? It happens like once or twice a day. Want to make a call and "bang" some annoying stuff pops up.
I can't wait for the day the phone gets rooted so i can uninstall all that crap.

I'm used to bloatware, but switching your dock icons is another whole level. Makes you think you are not in control of your phone anymore.
it's called marketing lol...
and sprint is being a good daddy and letting consumers remove MOST of the bloatware, and they're also limiting the number of bloatware
verizon has the most bloatware imo
I wish it was uninstallable. This is where Google needs to step in and remind carriers that Android is supposed to be open. Microsoft allows computer OEMs to send systems loaded with bloatware but all of it will uninstall, Android should be the same way. Instead we'll have to wait for a root.

Source is open, not company standards. Ie you can compile anything you want but man facts and resellers can limit access, hence locked boot loaders and such.

if you download launcher pro you can have it hide all the bloatware from your app drawer

You can do that with the Motorola UI that comes with the D3. You can make your own custom app groups to organize/hide what is installed.

This lol. Seriously, all of the "V****" is in the market so I don't know why they don't make it uninstallable on phones. The most they should do is have the Verizon Apps app uninstallable and allow you to choose which uninstallable apps you want on your phone.

Used this last weekend during the games. Great app design and awesome for keeping up with player stats during the game. Only issue was that the app updates live stats slowly. It does not appear to be real time stats. There is an update interval of about 15 minutes I think.
I just downloaded the app and will definitely use it on sunday. Props to the dev, it's doing some pretty impressive things with the platform.
If they can add the option to make the updates faster, then it would be alot better, other than that its a really good app.
It looks like a good app but it force closes right after the splash screen. Any ideas why?
OK mine was working great and then it suddenly started FC'ing and getting timeouts. They must be having issues with the server.

Yep appears as though server is down. The lack of connection is causing force closes.
