Hi all!
Ok, I'm running Darky's v9.3.XWJS5 and there's a TON of fonts in this rom. So I'm wondering, is it possible to snag a few fonts and drop them into another rom, like Serendipity or Andromeda, and if so, can I do this with root explorer and where on the new rom would the fonts go???

Yes, by using root explorer on phone or on pc using the same concept....
Open up whateverrom.zip go to system then fonts. All fonts are located in the fonts folder...
Then take the ones you want ante and transfer them to other rom.zip in same manner...
Now as far as changing any fonts to default, I'm clueless as of now.

I'm running a de-odexed ZSJPJ rom (Ramad's). It seems that the only way to get the puzzle piece lockscreen is to flash a theme that has the 4 lockscreen settings. I don't really want to flash a theme especially since a lot of these are based on older frameworks and I just want the lockscreen.
If anyone can point me to a comprehensive how-to, that will be fine. Thanks in advance.
yeah you need to change the android.policy.odex in the system\framework\ folders.
You can just take the file from a theme that has it and use root explorer to transfer it to your phone.
or you can just use the StockPlus082percentageFF theme which is a stock theme with all the current lock screens.

I've seen Stockmod Plus, but I think he uses an older framework. ZSJPJ rom has some issues from what I've read. Anyway, thanks. I'll google android.policy.odex and see where it leads.

yeah but you can just take the android.policy.odex file from it and install it separately. just replace the one file with the one you have on your phone.

For the past week, I was trying out the Cronos Ginger ROM for Milestone, and I quite liked the system fonts that it used. Is there any way to port those fonts back to CyanogenMod? Is there an app for that?

Try using Font Changer.
Well I did try it, but it didn't come loaded with any fonts. Also, I was looking for the Cronos fonts specifically. Is there any font package for that? Also how do I load fonts in Font changer in the first place?
Best way to grab fonts would be to open up the Flashable zip of Cronos, then /system/fonts and you need to grab all of those I guess. Font Changer should recognize them as a "font package" and let you apply it then.

It is not super easy but if you download the Continuum ROM from Cezar's site, you can find this wallpapers in the zip under /system/app/ContinuumWallpapers.apk/res/drawable-hdpi-V4/wallpaper_12.jpg.

If I pull out the application ContinuumWallpaper.apk, I may put in any other ROM?
You should be able to install it on other roms, worst case just push it in system/app folder with root explorer.
Edit : or extract the wallpapers from that apk and use them in gallery

I just installed the Android Revolution HD 2.2.0 rom and its great... but, I got a little bit too excited with my root explorer and ereased the "lockscreen ring" and some UI element of the homescreen!?
I mean everything works so far but I have to use it "blind" (have to drag the apps into an invincible ring to unlock"... is there any possibility to reinstall it? without doing it all over again?

you could try to extract the rom on your PC and copy the files you need to your phone. eg lockscreen and so on
I'm not sure, but if arhd doesn't have wipe script included in rom u can just install arhd again and all needed files will be copied.
Back up and than try to flash again I hope it'll help u

I've seen this question many times during last few days and even got a few PMs also regarding this and answering repetitively is tiresome and not so creative so thought of creating a thread specially for this, Nothing new, no rocket science but helpful, hope you find the same
Recovery Method
Download any one of the font
Goto CWM
Select Mount and storage
Mount System
Flash the downloaded File
ICS Roboto Font
Gingerbread Stock Font
Other Flashable Font files along sample can be found here
Font changer Method
Install Font Changer from play store
put the desired fonts in the folder .fontchanger created in the root of your SDcard, open the app and apply the desired font.
usually I use second method. coz its easy for any fonts. no need to search for flashable zip and original font can be backup for further use.

I think it doesnt work on ICS ROM
I see on system/fonts and few font files was linked to "roboto font",,even I change with CWM/Manual(with root explorer) it doesnt works mate

I believe what OP mean in this thread is only for MoKee OS. And also as he said, the zip file attached to be flashed is an answer of some people who ask him how to make roboto font as default font.

I wanted to ask if this is completely safe cos I've had bad experiences everytime I tried tampering with my device. Also do these methods work on gingerbread ??

As far i know this should work on any gingerbread rom, but on ics or jb you need to create metadata for changing the font as their symlinked to the rom. Cmiiw
