o2 XDA mini s is too slow!

Hi all,
I am new to this stuff so please excuse my ignorance.
My o2 XDA Mini s ROM:2.21.4.1 WWE is so slow that it is virtually unusable! I have tried TomTom on it and it just grinds to a halt. Also the video camera is dreadfully slow to update. Can you suggest some fixes?
Please help before i bin this pile of crap.
Cheers
try this:

Boot the mini with a hard reset (it will load as if it is new) select the BASIC version not the o2 one. you will get a message saying "you wont get all functions etc" just ok it. now your device will be much faster. mine runs tom tom no problem.
pete
if u prefer O2 official rom, after boot the mini s with a hard reset, select the Corporate mode with code 0506, it's even faster than the BASIC mode!
just butting in, I am having loads of problems with mine but hey.
If I reboot in coorporate mode, what will I need to manually install, will my contacts still be there etc... and what options will I have lost
Thanks
P

Official HTC Windows Mobile 6.1 crashed my Camera

Just after I have upgraded my Windows mobile, my camera stopped working. Actally works but the screen is black and I'm able to shut but without seeing the imsge on the screen. The funny thing is that the camera works normaly when I use the software QuickMark. Had any one found the same problem?

make a phone call see if you can hear anyone or if they can hear you
Have you by any chance installed Nadavi's HTC Camera 5.0.4.2915.00 for KAISER? Many users reported the same problem as you when using that together with WM6.1.
If so, try this solution which seems to work.
no I'm using the original camera (4.08) and Izm able to make calls. What I can't do is video calls. People sees me but I cant see the others.
this maybe a radio compatability issue read the wiki
I have the same problems with htc touch cruise. is there any solution yet
I have the same camera problems after upgrade
I have the same problems but i just uninstall program camera & restart

How have you upgraded your TyTN II and from what? The ROM and Radio in your sig are pretty much from year dot and are the same as I had on my TyTN II when new. After I upgraded to the official HTC WWE 6.1 release and had problems as a result, I had the phone reverted back to WM 6.0 by HTC and they selected the configuration in my sig. It's been that way since.

Tytn II Slow/Hanging for some seconds

Hi everybody, i am new here and i need a little help on my Tytn II
So, i got a tytn II from orange but i was a little bit dissapointed by wm 6.0 which came on the device(slow drivers and so on) and put a wm 6.1 rom with hardspl(RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_3.28.405.0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.17.56_Ship)
Science then (and maybe also with 6.0) but i am not shure, i am experiencing some cpu hangs for few second from time to time. Most of the time it's after it returns from Stand By mode. It works fine for a few seconds than PAFF! hangs for a couple of seconds(touchflo not working). it's not the flo because also if i move some cursors with the keys from the phone it is still blocked. After a while it is stable but from time to time still hangs. I am so nervous because i keep pressing the tochflo and nothing happends.
I also tried this manila rom(it is currently installed) L26_KaiserTouch_V1M2D.rar with updates and still the same thing. I have tried to kill all the processes from the memory with celetask but again no feedback. Even turn off the radio by switching to airplane mode. What do you advise me to do? should i switch back to wm 6.0 which i hate? can i find another rom which works? why is the cpu hanging?
Thanks alot. I like the phone, it's cool, but this slowing it's drivin' me nuts!!
plase move this to kaizer general, i dind't see it(or is it a rom prolem?)
Hi!
I also have this problem. It happens with the original 6.0 Rom as well as with the 6.1 Rom from the HTC Website. Sometimes it works for days without an issue. Other days it freezes frequently for a few seconds.
Also, everybody else I know, who have the HTC Kaiser, have this issue.
I noticed that the dimming of screen works even when it is "frozen". Also the on/off button always works. So it is not really freezing but something else is going on?!

I don't get pausing with the ROM/RADIO/SPL in my sig (HTC not Orange branded) but certainly the UK released HTC WM 6.1 ROM had the pausing bug. The OP is right in that WM 6.0 is slower than 6.1 but the setup I'm running is really very reliable when compared to WM 6.1. If the wrong SPL (or hardSPL in this case) is being used for the version of Windows Mobile (1.xx for WM 6.0 and 3.xx for WM 6.1), this will also exacerbate any pausing. SPL 1.93 was put on my phone by HTC when they reverted from WM 6.1 so if anyone is getting pausing under WM 6.0, maybe that SPL will fix things.
Hi,
I'm having the same problem as described above.
Anyone knows a solution for this?
I'm using WM 6.1 and my phone IS NOT locked at all...
Thanks in advance!
Sam
Sounds like a well known issue with a well known fix. Do you have the right HardSPL?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply!

I hope now it does the trick!
Thanks again!

Android on HTC Touch Diamon

I have an HTC Touch Diamond DIAM100
I'd like to install Android or WM6.5. These forums contain too many information and I can't filter them. That starts with the many HTC models in this forum (MDA, CDMA, ???) I would be glad, if you could help me a little.
1. What Android version is best for my phone?
2a. Does everything work when changing O/S?
2b. Is it faster than WM6.1?
3. Where can I download Android?
4. Where do I find a How To?
5. Where would I find WM6.5?
6. Is it faster then WM6.1 on my phone?
7. Where do I find a How To?
Thanks a lot!
I just installed the Android rom found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=907509
I don't think you'll be able to use it on a daily basis, as it's somewhat emulated (needs Win to run, it's not native...yet), eats the battery way too fast and there are several issues that don't work properly (yet). For example, in my case, the Wi-fi performance is horrible, the speed is somewhere between 5-10KB/s. The developer knows about this and it may be fixed on the next version. Also, connecting to my PC doesn't work, at least on Win 7, because it complains about missing drivers and stuff. I have to turn on USB storage mode to be able to copy files on the device. After turning it off, Android sees the internal storage as empty, and there's no way to fix it unless I reboot the phone.
If you want to install Windows Mobile 6.5, there are plenty of ROMs here and it's easy to do it if your device is security unlocked. Take your time and read the tutorials on the ROM development forum, you'll get it.
