I bought 2 unlocked i9000T's . I've kept one with 2.1 and have been waiting for the official 2.2.1 release via KIES which is now available.
My other unit was updated to 2.2.1 with the Registry Hack. What's the best way to get my Hacked i9000T back to factory so it can take updates as they roll out?
I've looked for the i9000TUBJP9 firmware to load via ODIN but no luck. I use ODIN on my TAB.
Any help would be great.
The i9000T is the latin america version.
thanks
The latin american version is the i9000b
You can get 2.2.1 by either flashing it directly with odin or flashing back to an older stock and then updating with kies

I have 2 of these phones. Part # GT-I9000T . One has been updated to 2.2.1 via KIES to I9000TUBJP9.The other phone was Flashed with Euro 2.2.1 rom. What's the best way to get the I9000T back to stock. I can't locate the I9000T firmware on Samfirmware.
Just need the download link and will use ODIN
thanks

You should be able to go back using kies 1.5 and kies patcher. Then you would go to Kies 2 to get the latest update. If this doesnt work for you I have an old eclair that I think should work with this phone, you can use that as a base to jump to the latest version.
btw could you please post the modem that came with the update? It´s easy, on the phone you already update you download Terminal emulator then in the program enter:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/bml12 of=/sdcard/bml12
This will copy the modem to the sdcard. Á lot of people will apreciate it! let us know how it goes.
I downloaded terminal emulator on the 2.2.1 i9000TUBJP9 phone and the command gives me an error:
cannot open for read: no such file or directory.
Does it require root? Since this is a new & stock phone was not planning to root it. I will root my 2.1 once I get it upgraded to JP9
The 2.1 Eclair version I'm running again is.
Baseband:
I9000TUBJH1
If you have a different i9000T firmware to try with ODIN that would be great. The older version of Kies 1.5 patcher did not work. I tried all if the i9000TUB settings CWW, PCW, TTT, and several more.
Once I get this phone to the version as my stock 2.2.1 I'll root it and get the modem file - no problem.
Are you sure you typed it correctly? I was under the impression it did NOT require root. I´ve done it on mine but Im rooted. Special attention to bml12, thats B-M-L-1-2 (just in case)
I dont have the rom around in this machine but luckily I saved the download link
I900T
I think this is exactly what you´re looking for.
If possible when you are upgrading the phone via kies you can try to save the entire rom. There are instructions in the kies patcher thread in the first post on how to do it. But the modem at least would be great.
Good luck.
Any luck?

Thanks for the link, but that's the same file I have here and loaded on the phone. KIES 1.5 won't update it. It's been Pretty frustrating. I'm not sure what KIES is looking for.
You need kies 2. Install the latest version. Kies looks at your product code and current firmware version. Make sure toi change your csc region to TTT also just in case.
To change your csc in 2.1 enter *#272*hhmm# where hh and mm is current time of phone. Change to TTT. Beware this will reset your phone.
If you need more help let me know.

If all else fails you can try spooffw, you can find it in the forums. But you can try what i posted above first. To add to that nake sure kies is reporting your product code to be TTT.
Good luck.

No luck yet.
Changed product code to TTT using the *#272*HHMM# method.
Using KIES 2.0.0.11033_25 and no luck
Tried the 1.8 patcher and set to TTT which spoofs PDA:JG5/ PHONE:JG7/CSC:JG4 (TTT)
Is there anything on the phone to reset. I tried factory reset under the Security option.
What product code does kies say you have? The code i gave does not change the hw product code, just CSC region code.
Patcher 1.8 wont help you, disable it.

If this isnt working i think you have a 2 options. 1. Try spooffw or 2. Root both phones. Backup efs folder of the 2.1 phone. Make nandroid backups of both phones. Then restore nandroid backup from your updated phone to the other. I believe this would work.

I have done the Spooffw which works great for all other firmware than TTT. There are no i9000T codes on it.
The Spooffw is a very cool and easy way to do this - just need the i9000T codes.

Product Code: GT-I9000HKTTTT
PDA: I9000TUBJG5
PHONE: I9000TUBJG7
CSC: I9000TUBJG4
I'll work on it today again. No problem getting the phone to Euro firmware XEU. KIES updates it no problem. Tested it on several different compters and KIES was no problem. The SPOOFFW method does work. It would be great to have him add the I9000HKTTTT.
Here's the codes I tried to enter inthe SPOOFFW manually:
Product code GT-I9000HKTTTT
PDA: I9000TUBJG5
PHONE: I9000TUBJG7
CSC: I9000TUUBJG4
The SPOOFFW will accept the info , but KIES never connects to update - The phone won't connect as it should. If you leave it on long enough, it will connect with no firmware info.
This made me think that SPOOFFW had additional data in it's preset info.
I'll keep trying for the I9000T TTT
After you spoof check that everything is set with *#1234#
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Yes I checked with *#1234# and it checks out.
It's more an issue of connecting to KIES after it changes the Productcode to HKTTTT.
Here's my steps:
Check Productcode is:
I9000HKTTT
Manually enter:
PDA: I9000TUBJG5
Press OK
Reboot
Manually enter :
PHONE: I9000TUBJG7
CSC: I9000TUUBJG4 (I don't think it's I9000TUBJG4 - I think there are 2 "UU"
Press Home key
Connect to KIES
Phone tries to connect, just says Connecting.....
I wait 2 minutes. Sometimes phone will mount after 2 minutes but Firmware areas is blank.
I go into RegEdit and delete DB Folder info and connect to KIES again. Same result. Makes no difference if I quit KIES and delete the DB folder or do it live.
I'm running KIES on a few computers so I can uninstall and check on various things with the install.
If I delete everything and use one of supplied Presets with SPOOF FW , then everything works fine.
It's almost like the i9000HKTTTT and PDA, Phone, and CSC are not matching and KIES gets lost and is not sure how to proceed.
For the csc im opretty sure its 1 U
Before deleting DB i would shut down kies and disconnect phone.
Also in pretty sure it makes no difference if its a preset or not

Hi guys.
I just got a SGS yesterday as my HTC Desire was stolen last week.
The one I got is a German T-Mobile branded phone (has customised boot and shutdown logo) and I really wan't to get rid of the branding and all those useless apps on it. I live in Denmark so i have no use for T-Mobiles apps that don't work here.
Now i have been reading a lot yesterday on these forums and reading lots of guides but I'm still unsure what route to go. Currently the phone is running 2.1 and I wan't to upgrade to 2.2 or 2.2.1 but unbranded, and then root the phone a bit later and probably move to Darky's Gingerbread edition ROM.
From what i can gather there are 2 methods to do this, but I can't really find out witch one would be right for debranding.
1. Using KIES registry pattcher and change my product code to XEE (Nordics) and try that to flash it to official 2.2 and root that.
2. Using this [HOWTO] manually flash Samsung Galaxy S with JPY firmware ** WORKS **
If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be awesome.
[EDIT] Forgot to mention that i can boot the phone in both download mode and recovery mode holding the 3 buttons, so no need to fix that first.
Information on my phone:
Product code from KIES registry:GT-I9000HKDDTM
*#1234#
PDA: I9000BOJG3
PHONE: I9000BOJF1
CSC: I9000GDTMJH2
Build number:ECLAIR.BOJG3
Firmware revision:2.1-update1
Baseband:I9000BOJF1
Kernel version:[email protected] #2
1. Using KIES registry pattcher and change my product code to XEE (Nordics) and try that to flash it to official 2.2 and root that.
Thats the way to go but you would be best to safe a copy of the current ROM for warranty purposes as you would need to flash it back to make a claim .
Flashing via Odin only if you cannot use method 1 .
jje
Ok, thanks.
But how do I make a backup of the current rom? There is no download for it at far as i can tell.
Get Backup from Samfirmware.com
Go to Samfirmware.com click on Firmware then go to Firmware Section. Select then Android and then Galaxy S GT-I9000. Then download the I9000XWJG3 firmware.

But XWJG3 is not a T-Mobile branded firmware is it? If it is nothing on these guides makes any sense.
Btw I did find a I9000BOJG3.rar file on some download page, downloaded and it does contain the following files that match my current versions. I have no idea if it's a working flash but if it is I would be able to flash thsi from odin to return to stock right?
I9000BOJG3.rar file contains:
CODE_I9000BOJG3.tar.md5
CSC_I9000GDTMJH2.tar.md5
MODEM_I9000BOJF1.tar.md5
Oh my Fault. I tought that only the ending is important (Like if the ending is JP7 than it's a Vodafone Firmware and if the ending is JG3 it's a T-Mobile
But XWJG3 is not a T-Mobile branded firmware is it? If it is nothing on these guides makes any sense
You get branded firmware from the network operator .
All firmware on these pages is non branded .
Again my suggestion is to use Kies registry patcher and spoof the update to whatever you want .
jje
I'm also trying to debrand my SGS and get Froyo, but I'd also like to make a backup of my original ROM. However, my ROM isn't available in samfirmware.com. It's I9000BVJJI1 and I want to update to I9000BVJJPD, which one of my friends has and probably is the same hardware.
Is there any way to backup my original ROM?
Your rom and every network rom comes from the network Sam is generic base roms .
Back up = Clockwork Mod Recovery to save the rom .
May i repeat if you dont know what you are doing then dont this forum is littered with broken phones belong to newbies who have not bothered to read and understand and now need to take the phone back to Samsung for repair with non valid firmware that has invalidated the warranty .
jje
Just did the update via KIES using the patcher and everything went smooth.
Saved the new firmware during flashing and a factory reset after the flash as i had basically nothing on the phone yet.
Right now I'm on 2.2
PDA: I9000XWJPA
PHONE: I9000XXJPP
CSC: I9000XEEJP4
Not rooted yet, but I'm gonna do that tomorrow probably.
Lots of us are trying to get our phones back to Stock Firmware so KIES can update to 2.2.1 & at some point 2.3. In my case i9000T Latin America (TTT) model which seems to be very popular on the various US sites selling unlocked i9000 phones (New Egg & Expansys-us)
Many of us have used Euro 2.2 or 2.2.1 Firmware without issue using ODIN 1.3.
What happened in the process of applying the Euro firmware that keeps KIES from updating once you've rolled back to a stock firmware. In my case i9000TUBJH1 which is android 2.1 (ECLAIR.UBJI1) .
I've tried everything from changing the Product Code from KOR, TTT, PCW and any other one that might trigger KIES (1.5 or 2.0) in allowing the update.
I have 2 of these phones. One is untouched stock firmware. It was i9000TUBJG7 and after KIES update it's now (i9000TUBJP9 with a TTT Product Code). again, just trying to get my other phone back to stock and then update to 2.2.1 so both phones are the same.
Which file is KIES looking at to allow the update? CSC?
I'm not sure why the i9000T firmware is not readily available on samfirmware.
Thanks - many of us are just trying to learn the basics and spent hours reading these forums.
Try reading the last few pages of this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959806
why bother with kies anyway i have a 19000t.. just use odin and flash the stock rom form samsungfimrwares.com or a custom one like docs etc..
i am currently on jpy with jl2 modem.
also once you have clockwork on you can also flash one of docs roms via that.
or is it that you are trying to get a stock rom via kies. that is not on samsungfirmwares.com ?
if that is the case i think the reason may be that these stock firmwares were never release via kies?
I bricked my initial handset using KIES as it crashed during the update. Won't be using it again to flash my phone.

Samfirmware & i9000T
No sign of any i9000T (TTT) Latin America firmware on Samfirmware.com. The latest update via KIES for this phone was about 10 days ago. Version i9000TUBJP9 which installs 2.2.1.
Again, just trying to get back to stock. I'll be passing this phone to another user at some point and they'll need KIES to keep it simple.
Any help in understanding what keeps KIES from updating after you've installed stock 2.1 firmware would be great.
I'll keep reading ...
thanks
Kies reads the codes from the phone .
Firmware 2.2 Product Code Vodaphone Hardware ID Vodaphone .
Looks for update for the product code if all matches downloads .
Product Code stock Hardware ID stock matches nothing on its Database = no update .
Route back i have used is flash Eclair spoof product code via Kies registry patcher . Upgrade and save rom at the same time to enable reflash to product codes firmware .
jje
Did you manage to get the update from Kies? You would do a great service if you can share the firmware.
Kies looks at the product code. I replied to your other post.
Hi
I'm helping out a friend, and we are having some troubles being able to update via Kies.
In Kies, the firmware is listed as: (blank field/none)
And we get the message "no update available"
1. USB debugging is disabled (tried enabling)
2. Tried editing Regedit
http://getandroidstuff.com/tutorial-force-kies-update-samsung-galaxy-regedit-guide/
3. Tried flashing pit, PDA, modem and CSC that are corresponding to eachother.
XXJPU from here:
http://www.samsunggalaxysforum.com/...cial)(firmwares)galaxy-s-i9000-download-only/
4. Tried hard reset
Nothing seems to work. Are the any edits in the above shown tutorials which could lead to succes?
It has taking quite a lot of time and searching and googling, and we are close to giving up. We are 2 android well experienced android users, one of use mobile supporter, and we can't get it to work. All of our experience combined, didn't fix the problem.
What to do?
Thanks in advance

Because the owner don't feel safe using Odin and want's the function to be working.
Running stock 2.2.1 XXJPY now
We tried flashing different ROM's via Odin
Kies updates official firmware that came with the phone .
You have flashed stock firmware Kies cannot update that .
Only update path is now via Odin .
You can try spoof firmware to correct product details .
http://www.appbrain.com/app/spooffw/com.johnan.spooffw
Other question is are you trying to upgrade too a firmware that does not exist
that is 2.2.1 is the very very very latest firmware .
Gingerbread 2.3 has not been released by Samsung yet .
jje
The problem is that the firmware field is left blank...
it doesn't recognize the firmware I guess, but it should be stock 2.2.1 and then it would be able to recognize it, but it doesn't.
Are there any known problems regarding x64 windows?
Will try the spoof, but I think it is the same as altering Regedit
Howcome, Kies can't update that stock firmware we have flashed? the system files should be the same, as of modem, PDA and so on.
Kies spoof method is your only choice .
Stock firmware from samfirmware etc is not the firmware that came with your phone so IDs do not and will not match .
Below an example of legitimate O2 UK firmware ID upgradable by Kies .
Replace that with stock and codes change and fail to match anything on the server .
KIES does not recognize stock firmware .
Stock is not what comes with the phone .

I had a UK unlocked (no branding) GT-P1000 Galaxy Tab. I flashed it to a custom gingerbread build on Win7 X64 but later wanted to revert to stock. After a lot of searching I flashed the device with P1000XWJMI. All went fine and device booted back in (with a foreign language set as default but I've changed to English via settings).
When connecting the device to Kies it now says "This version of the device cannot be updated". It never used to say this before! It used to say I was running the latest firmware. Can anyone advise what the problem is?
I've seen some threads referring to something with a CSC mismatch and to alter using *#272*IMEI# and changing the code but I didn't want to do this without being certain what I'm changing.
Presently Kies shows:
PDA: JMI
Phone: JMA
CSC: JM4 (CPW)
I'm running Kies version 2.0.1.11053_99

Is JMI stock for your tab? Besides, the country code might be wrong.
I didnt know how to find the correct stock for this tab. I just saw in a post that someone else form UK had used this so I went for it.
i had this issue also , and i didn't know ever how to make it work
so ppl said that you have to download app from the market that plays with the PDA and CSC to change them to what ever you want without flashing any other rom
Darkpal guide :
My way is DANGEROUS. You need to know what you're doing to do it. IF IT MELTS YOUR TAB am not RESPONSIBLE.
1. Do a Rotobackup of your existing firmware or any backup to your efs folder (regular backups won't work).
2. Download an app called SpoofFW
3. Put the PDA, Phone and CSC of a known stock firmware (like your asia
4. reboot.
5. connect to kies.
thanks for him not for me , but to your info i couldn't understand what to do with the app maybe you wait someone to describe it for you

My case is different. After updating my ROM back to stock, all the versions are OK, despite the software and phonebook remains (but I noticed that my photos in gallery are deleted, which is what I wished).
My question is how to restore it to the REAL factory setting state, without any additional wallpaper and software that I installed?
Thanks for your attention, and wait for your advise as well.

If I understand you correctly, you have to:
[*]Press menu
[*]Settings
[*]Privacy
And there you'll have the option to do the factory reset.
You can also do it by booting into recovery (volume up + power on) and selecting it from the menu.

Hi,
I flashed my SGS to CM7 and don't really like it. I have downloaded the firmware ( I9000DXJF4 )from sammobile and flashed it. However, I am unable to upgrade the firmware using Kies to the new firmware available thru Samsung.
My current version is as followed
PDA: I9000DXJF4
PHONE: I9000DXJF4
CSC: I9000OLBJF4
From the look of my phone, everything seem to be back to its original setting, with all the singtel (my telco provider ) apps. Now I am trying to upgrade to Froyo 2.2 (I think) using Kies. Kies prompted that it is unable to update the firmware. I tried the latest version of kies and also version 1.5. Both are unable to do so.
Anyone can kindly advise?
Try changing your CSC code to XEU. I encountered some issues with KIES updates when having CSC code KOR.
Hi,
I tried to change to XUE but this option is not available. I go into CSC by *#272*HHMM#. Is it wrong?
*#272*???????????????# (??????????????? it's your IMEI, it must have 15 digits)
or try https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nfye.insanity.toolbox
Hi,
Thanks for your help. I got my IMEI code. It pop up in a small window. Then I tried to change the CSC using the method u mentioned. But nothing happen. When I press the call button, it say "USSD code running..." then follow by "UNKNOWN APPLICATION"
I also tried to install the software, but it is only for android 2.2 and above. I tried to find the crack version for the premium version but cant find any. Do you have the premium version? Can upload to mediafire and send me the link?
Never try to install via KIES ..
Install via ODIN the Firmware you want it's simply better, even if ODIN is unofficial.
Introductions you will find by googleing I think .. it's easy.
Good luck and have fun
Hi,
Ya, using Odin now. But still prefer Kies over Odin. A lot of stuff become automatic with Kies.
I just flash to DXJG4 hoping to be able to link to kies but it failed.
I read that once the lagfix is fixed, there will be problem with kies. Am I fixing the lagfix in anyway thus leading to this problem?
Did you get solution to your problem? I had the same problem with a Galaxy Wonder... when i tried to upgrade via kies i got this screen..
That I cannot post actually because the forum prevents me from doing it...
BUT...
I tried OTA upgrade with perfect results... And the funny thing is that I NEVER before could start OTA...
BTW everything's fine now and I bumped to 2.3.6 ggbrd

You can download all the recent firmware from sammobile and you can flash it via odin. Flashing stock ROM via Odin
