Hi
My Diamond's Camera has a problem
Ccamera's speed is very low
And so makes a tick
But sometimes is good
Where is the problem you think?
Diamond's camera (same as video recording) is really hard to focus and has bad performance in dark condition.

That's the petition for enabling video and OpenGL acceleration which AFAIK is not related to photo and video recording and the way the camera switches to night mode when insufficient light is available.
Night mode = extremely slow shutter = unusable for most photo and video recording.
Sufficient light = outdoor with clear, sunny skies at noon, preferably as close to the equator as possible
I was quite happy with both photo and video recording on the Hermes (my Hermes was an i-mate JASJAM). The Kaiser camera got upgraded hardware but downgraded software. I stopped using my TyTN II camera a few days after buying the phone as most of my photos are of my kids at home in the evening and indoor shots are always in Night mode. You need 1000 W flood lights if you want to take good indoor photos but that makes everyone squint with their eyes.
I could actually consider trading my unlocked in-mint-condition TyTN II for a JASJAM in the same as-new mint condition, just swap the phones with no cash required.
Hi,
is there a way to improve the performance of the camera?
like improve the shuttle speed ? faster reaction time ?
You mean shutter speed? No, at the moment there is nothing you can do to speed it up. Especially when taking pictures where the light is low, the camera switches to night mode automatically, making the shutter speeds extremely slow. EXTREMELY ANNOYING, making the camera COMPLETELY USELESS for indoor shots. I think the way the IDIOTS at HTC were reasoning was that this would be a good alternative to the LED light the old TyTN had.
[sarcasm]This plus the disabled multimedia and 3D acceleration sure makes the TyTN II a device very well suited for business.[/sarcasm]

I have faith that they'll release a software update
Yup, I mean shutter speed. it works greater in the day time only got problem in the night. was opening got a way to solve it
i agree, with a 3 mp camera with af and with a reaction time of a 19th century digital camera dosnt really do much
I don't think we'll have too much luck.
Like a normal camera the shutter needs to be open longer to capture a darker image. Sans a flash, I don't think too much progress will be made when it comes to night/dark images and capture speed.
I would be happy if they fixed the auto focus problem I show here, and allowed night mode to be switched on and off manually.
well we can just hope they come out with someting to solve the problems or make more improvement to it
Guys i just want to know that is there any app or patch by which we can get full vga recording @25 or 30 fps.
OR
Is there any experts who can make or is working for the camera patch to get full VGA @25 or 30fps recording.
OR
anyother way to get it itself in diamond.
Pls reply and let me know if there is anything related to increase camera efficiency cause i am too much stressed because of the recording is not perfect in such a high priced phone and many of my friends got less priced phone and they are more than 2mp camera and takes good photos and good recording as camera is faster, no spooky effect, etc even though resolution is not so good still its fast fps recording and i didn't know that diamond will not be able to record and battery drainer and spooky camera recording at only 15fps.
But there is one thing the camera is totally light dependent cause in very good light or sunlight it gives no spooky effect and i recorded clips in 24.0 fps even though in half vga resolution but still good pics and vids.
So why diamond dont have camera like nokia which is better even thought the resolution is low?
Pls can somebody help or can somebody assure me that in future maybe after 5 to 6 months there will def an app or patch for it?
Sorry mods but i am replying my own thread so it goes up and some expert will read it and help out.
Nobody is interested to even read or reply in this topic.
Pls read as i know for many diamond users are suffering little like me and the phone is amazing and even camera is good but only full vga with good fps will be much better so that all buyers of diamond become by seeing app or patch to improve recording
You will most likely have to wait until someone ports the Diamond2's camera app, since the new phone supports VGA recording. However, you may still have an issue if the Diamond itself doesn't support VGA recording.
I've always wanted to see better video recording on the Diamond. I thought the reason it was limited was because the phone simply wasn't fast enough to be able to sustain a decent frame rate for VGA recording (due to the fact that on my old Touch, a rapidly changing view seemed to significantly reduce the frame rate), but the Diamond2's hardware is similar, so perhaps it's a limitation related to the camera.
in my old p3600 it can record video 15 fps in dark
but my diamond only 4 , 6 fps in dark ?!
also my friend touch daul only 4 to 6 fps
the recording in all touch series is just crap in dark
Hi All,
I recently purchased my Huawei P20 Pro phone expecting the photos to be amazing. The main reason I bought the phone was because of reviews stating how great the camera was indoors, and I have 2 children that I want to photo inside.
Sadly I am noticing the following issues:
- Skin tone of people shot using both the front and back camera are automatically smoothed and beautified, sometimes to the extent that they can look like wax works/ heavily made-up. It looks unnatural. I heard this could be issue on the front camera but was not expecting it on the back camera. This issue remains even when I turn down the beautification setting to zero.
- Indoor photo quality on the front camera for photos and videos is not great. Photos are grainy and full of artefacts in addition to the issue mentioned above about beautification. In fact I have shot comparatives with my iPhone 7 and there is little difference in quality.
- The camera can have a several second delay between pressing the "take" button and then snapping the photo. There is a particularly long lag when pressing using 40 MP and RAW settings.
The outdoor photos are largely taking fine though I am still seeing beautification of faces.
I hope this is something I can fix with the settings or a camera software update. So far it seems to me that my issue relates to one of the following:
- The settings I am using are not optimal. Perhaps I need to turn off AI. Could this be the case?
- The software on the camera is outdated. How can I check and update this?
- The phone I have is faulty.
- I have drastically overestimated how good the quality of this phone is. I hope this is not the case!
Please help me fix the issue as I don't want to return the phone...
I don't claim to have used the camera a lot. However, I did find this video which covers all the camera functions in detail. I keep it in its own playlist so I can easily refer to it.
Sent from my HUAWEI CLT-L09 using XDA Labs
I had the same problems with the Mate 10 Pro, no matter if shooting in Auto, Pro or Portrait. Horrible quality indoor, terrible skin tone. Pictures looked like oil paint
have you tried using the flash? photography is about light without light it will push up the iso and i wont use my rx100 past 1600-3200 so i would think these smartphones top out at what 400-800 maximum before they get grainy and noise reduction smears details etc
Oh I have seen so much worse when it comes to smoothening out details than P20 Pro. Galaxy S9 for example. P20 Pro gives me good details even in low light, best I've ever used.
im used to take photos indoors (mostly of my little nephews), i dont have problems with exposure or soft skin on the rear camera(i disabled the AI mode ) , on the other hand in the front facing camera you need to disable the beauty mode, disable it and set it to 0, Its normal to have a little delay in 40 MP RAW since well its a big 40MP picture. what firmware is on your device?
So I have my S23 now for 1,5 months and I bought for my vacation to Japan, to make some good videos.
Now that Im editing the videos I noticed the quality is sometimes really bad, especially when moving.
I always move very slow for a smooth video, but it seems like it was even better on my Galaxy S10!?
Also it sometimes seems really grainy...
Horizontal or vertical lines from buildings or lights or whatever start subtly shaking when I pan the camera slowly.
Is this a known issue? Or is there something wrong with my camera?
I recorded most on 0.6 ultrawide, but I check the few videos with the 1.0 and they have the same problem.
My photo quality on the other hand is perfect, so I dont think its the problem I read about in the other thread of a common camera issue.
I think it's happening because of the electronic image stabilization. You can turn off stabilization in camera settings.
