Upon surfing one of the links found within these forums, I've come across a new htc today layout that I really quite like. I'd rather not download this huge utility (ultimatelaunch.de), but was wondering if anyone knew what it would take to get the look of the clock, with the call/email/sms counters where they are. I'm willing to hack around if someone can point me in the right direction.
Well since I'm fiddling with UL these days I think what you want can be achieved with a customized battery status theme. Check this thread for more detals:

I can't find the exact one you're looking for but there are so many good ones in this thread and you may get some ideas and create your own
First things first, you may or may not be aware of me.
I am the developer that brought VillainROM to the HTC Hero. A Sense UI 2.1 rom, that I've been working on since January (click my link for info).
Anyway, two or three Tattoo owners have contacted me recently to ask if I'll create a rom for you guys.
Well, the good news is, I have decided that my future donations are going on a HTC Tattoo, so that I can help out this community.
The purpose of my post, is that I am looking for a Tattoo, and if any of you know of anyone that's selling one, I'm looking to buy one as cheaply as possible.
I don't care if it has a cracked screen, and the case is scratched to bits... as long as it all works. I will not be using it as my daily phone, I just want to get a rom out there for all the Tattoo users.
Anyway, I have £52 in donations right now, and I think I can buy one from ebay for £130, so I'm a fair way away. If anyone knows of anyone selling one cheap, regardless of condition... please PM me.
Thank you in advance.
Nice News for all Tattoo User.
Thanks in advance.
All the Best.
wow great news. going to get a credit card and donate some bucks
it'll be great to have 2.x

Good idea. I've added you to my twitter, so I'll let you know if there's any worth mentioning.
I got mine from the UK for about 160GBP, it was supposedly locked to Vodafone UK but I flashed the RUU ROM onto it and volia, no more Vodafone branding. My australina optus SIM worked fine too!
Gotta love GBP and the exchange rate...
Let me know what you guys think???

Don't take this the wrong way, but creating a website for the Thunderbolt right now is like showing up late to a party with a 12 pack of Bud Light. Everyone will be happy you came, but you didn't bring anything that wasn't already there. Now, if you show up with a bottle of Single Barrel Jack Daniel's, you will be the shiznit at the party. So, if you can, please try to bring something different to your website. With that said, I'll be sure to keep checking on your site, it's always nice to have more people at the party.

To be honest, I love this idea. It's kind of hard to find updated roms and mods for any phone, not to mention the Thunderbolt. BeardedMan... Why is making a website like this, which will (hopefully) be a good hub for Thunderbolt mods and roms, getting "late to the party?" Is there another website out there like this, besides the android forms or Rom Manager? If there is, I'd like to know.
frankzua77, I would like to say thank you. If this website becomes what I think it will, it will make modding the Thunderbolt so much easier. If you need any help, just let me know.
I think the problem beardedman is referencing is the fact that there are a lot of android websites/forums already (even thunderbolt specific) and that there are a lot of much newer phones getting the attention. I have yet to not find anything I'm looking for without a 10 second search on Google. And the Thunderbolt is real close to being yesterday's superphone, if it's not already.
Plus, the problem with any of these sites is someone has to maintain it...which means sifting through posts, updating daily, etc. Unless it's a wiki that anyone can update, it's the same reason that the stickies all get outdated. Heck, it's the same reason I've started threads on many forums for many topics trying to compile information and eventually given up.
Now that I've rained on the parade and come off as a prick, I do applaud the effort...even if it doesn't stay updated or become the hub you imagine, at least you have an idea and a passion and are trying to do something about it. Don't lose that. And who knows...maybe it's just what the community needs

I have a "Thunderbolt" folder in my Bookmarks (just like I used to with my Incredible) that I have the five links in. I can open all the links and catch up with all the newest Thunderbolt news, for the most part. And the Thunderbolt is old news actually, just being honest.
TUDrewser understood what I meant, I wasn't being rude. ThunderNet, trying checking the above sites, I bet you'll find answers to whatever questions you have.

Please see my sig..
Users can submit a MOD, Downlad mods or whatever right from the web.
Still a WIP, but just needs attention.
Not knocking this idea at all, but should really consider opening it up to a wiki format and not center only on the thunderbolt.
!
I really appreciate everyone that makes their point, I am currently working on the page. One of my goals is to have videos that can show you a ROM even before you consider downloading it. I know we are focusing on the tbolt, who knows maybe later on this expands to having other phones and stuff...
I need your help on deciding on a domain name! Right now im using a free domain service but I would like to purchase a domain, any ideas???
Also please click on the ads on the bottom as this is how the site will be funded for right now.

I would first like to say thank you to all the developers that are developing roms of the sensation xl. You guys are doing great and they are all great!
My question is why does the sensation xl lack in development and roms such as CM9, MIUI and other variations of custom roms compared to devices like sensation, one x etc. Anyway, not trying to hate here, just want to know if its a limitation of the phone or lack of developers.
Thanks and keep up the great effort :good:
It's down to a lack of developers. As far as i know, the developer vertigo from the three musketeers is working on CM9 for the SXL. But maybe i misunderstood someone.

I am sure he will pop along to confirm but, just so you know he is working on it. Just it's proving tireless - mainly because there really isn't much help coming from anyone but also because he, like the whole bunch of us is still learning. He will solider on though I know it. Once he's managed it, the doors will open for everything and we can really start to play with things. Like Paranoid Android, which would be brilliant on our screen size I think. And, for those of you who are asking elsewhere - it's because of this limitation that we won't have Jelly Bean, FOR NOW.
:cyclops:
Cheers for the responses guys and I seem to understand now. Its amazing what you guys are capable of which can be seen by your musketeer roms so really looking forward to Vertigo's CM9. It's unfortunate though that the sensation XL doesn't have more developers, its a great device and as you said a tablet like rom would suit the screen size. Anyway, i'll keep an eye out for new roms/updates so cheers for everything so far and good luck with the CM9 rom vertigo.
Just wondering, if I were to get started on rom development, where is a good place to start. Cheers
For me, I just smashed google search a lot. Main issues are with some things a with the tutorials you find are out of date. Depends what you want to do. Good place to start is to use things like dsixda's kitchen to get some ideas. Read up a lot. But if you are interested in building from source then you need to start reading about linux and setting an area for that. If you then start to hit some problems, PM some developers or TUT writers, they might be able to help.
Thanks mate, I've done a bit of messing around with dsixda's kitchen and will continue to try. I will move on to source compilation later after I get a grip on this stuff first. It's a nice starting place but as you said, a lot of the tutorials are out of date. If I do encounter any problems, I'll be sure to ask you or any other developer.
If anyone has any nice tutorials that really helped them, feel free to post
Hey devs and gals... I feel like i'm new with HTC again since I've been a Samsung user for the last few years. Yet I decided to get an M8 and Sprint gave me a good deal with HKE...
So me having experience with rom and theming development for GSM Samsung phones yet I feel like a totally noob here with HTC and specially with it being CDMA network...
I did a lot of roms porting back in the day for Samsung phones too.. Again I would like to ask devs if they won't mind add me to their team or individual dev to help me out on refreshing my mind about how things work for HTC and CDMA network so I/we can start rom development.
101 views and no answer? Are y'all not interested?
Sorry I'm not a dev but thanks for offering your help

I do this for fun.. However when I used to be a Samsung user devs seems more friendly, we were like a big forum family lol.
We would help each other out.. It was not like who did it first or to each its own.
Maybe that is why this forum is like dead pretty much. There is no lots of devs an they dont seem to care or help anyone else.
If this was like on Samsung forum we would have a SENSE/LP rom up and running a long time ago.
I'm personally trying to get it to work for me. But being new to CDMA I have no idea how it works. But will get there eventually.
What exactly are you trying to figure out? You seemed a bit general in the post [emoji14]

All the devs that I'm in regular communication with are open to helping, but not giving hand outs, I was accepted by TensaiLabs based on what I was trying to do and the very specific questions that I asked. That being said I haven't dove into porting too much so I'm not much help but from what I know and what little help I was with the sense 6 port for the LTE you have to edit build.prop, change libs, and add in sprint files and boot.img
