Hei ... where did you see 6gb microSDHC card available to purchase?
As far as I know it has not been released to the store yet.
I was looking for it last week all over the internet, but found nothing.
They have, but only for pre-order.
6gb microsd cards will be in stock at mobymemory in 3 days time. I am cancelling my order of 4gb card from play.com

Mine has been shipped from the warehouse, but it will probably take up to a week for me to get it to the States from London.

It cost me 38 pounds. However I used my friends credit card and he is the one who will be shipping it to me once he gets it tomorrow from London, since mobymemory won't ship to the States. I would say roughly around $85.
I think with shipping it is close to $98 from what I saw on their site. I'm holding at 4gig till the 8's come out.
I am ordering mines today as well as my kaiser hope it works

Here is one place:
http://www.tbh.se/index.asp?id=7&ak...egory=SanDisk&prodnamn=SanDisk_Transflash_6GB
I ordered one of those 6GB cards from mobymemory for my kaiser (which should be here today - woohoo!) and paid an extra £1.99 for a microsd to sd adapter.
When it came, the adapter was part of the sandisk package (along with a white usb sd reader) - surely I should have got another micro sd to sd adapter?
Not sure it is worth complaining lol, I only ordered it to bump it above £40 for free delivery.
http://www.meritline.com/pqi-8gb-micro-sdhc-class6-with-adapter---p-34293.aspx?source=s2010
Meritline is an awesome site. I order tons of stuff from there (especially their 3 packs of HDMI cables, usually with coupon for 6.99)
But there shipping is quite slow unless you live close to California. or can wait for things to arrive from the Far East. (Hong Kong, Singapore, China)
The other thing is their customer service is top notch!
For just a couple more dollars you can get one from Newegg if you are in a hurry...
I got a class 2, 8 GB card at my local electronics store for $17. Don't waste money/effort getting your hands on a class six because the Hero won't read it at it's native speed.

That is false, and frankly I'm damned sick of hearing that BS repeated over and over. The "class 2" thing comes entirely second-hand from some user who apparently got a note from a random low-level customer service rep saying something to that effect. Well it's not true.

The Hero is fully capable of exceeding the read and write capacities of a Class 2 card. My Hero maxes out at about 2.5 - 3 MB/s writing to the included Class 2 card, but easily reaches 6-8 MB/s using my aftermarket Class 6 card.
Definitely, definitely, definitely get a Class 6 card, whatever size you buy. It's absolutely worth it.
Anyway, NewEgg will ship you an 8GB Class 6 card from the US for $22.95. I'd recommend that instead.
Great find! Thanks!

Assuming you mean the Transcend card, I got it at amazon at roughly the same price after shipping...and I'll +1 that recommendation.

Even if that wer the case (which is not), then you try and buy stuff hard proofing it for the future, so the logical way would be to buy a class six card, which you can use when in the future you dont have a Hero anymore and do have a phone that "supports" class six.
Even less expensive!
Meritline has another brand Class 6 8GB for a dollar less (with shipping)! Only $18.45.

This is not a deal. If you think it's a deal you're new to the internet. I got a SanDisk 8GB Micro SDHC Class 6 for $18 shipped from new egg. Keep your sights on dealnews.com for micro sdhc deals.
On top of that Meritline is good but has insanely cheaply-built knock-offish type stuff. Got my sdhc card reader from them for $0.98 shipped. See what I'm saying here?

His was also Sandisk, that's noteworthy.
I know a lot of people have good luck with Trancend, Adata, etc... but I try my hardest to stick with Kingston or Sandisk for my SD cards.

My point mine was not a deal, it was quite standard pricing; therefore, neither is yours.
Here, this makes it easier:
Take Your pick!!

According to the site:
Read speed 2MB/s
Write speed 2MB/s
So I wouldn't be sure about it being class 6.
16GB Sandisk cards seem to go for ~£21 on ebay. They're class two but I don't use swap or apps on ext, so I don't mind. Are these cards generally friendly with Magics?
Sandisk are a VERY good brand for SD cards. Be careful of memory cards on ebay though. Most of them are fake. I normally buy from reputable places like newegg.com or local stores.

x2 And also, IMHO, class 2 devices are a lot flakier than class 4/6. I've never had a 4/6 fail, but I have had class 2 micro SDs fail. Might just be me, but I would rather have the better classification at the sacrifice of more $ or less GB
Thanks guys/gals, think I'll get one then. I spoke to a guy with a Desire who said he'd never had a problem with Sandisk.

I haven't been to staples in a while, but BestBuy just had the SDSDQ-8192-AB11M on sale, and while their web site showed it as CL2, it was a CL4 in the packages hanging on the hooks in store. they also had another 8gig sandisk class 4 with a different part number... it wasn't on sale, so I didn't write the model number down (but yes, I compared the two P/N's against the sign to make sure i got the one on sale)
Office Depot and Staples the SDSDQ-008G-A11M listed as $14.99 and $19.99 respectively... so its possible its only class2, but then again, its possible they have cl4 in the pack now too...

I just picked up a SDSQ-008G-A11M at staples. Its a CL4 on the card.
But based on crystal disk bench marks, its SLOWER than the SDSQ-8192-AB11M I got a Best Buy.
I just ordered the
Patriot LX Series Class 10 16GB Micro SDHC Flash Card Model PSF16GMCSDHC10 (16GB)
off Newegg. $27.99 after mail in rebate. Free shipping.
EDIT: I looked in the comments about the card and several people have mentioned using this card with their rooted Nook Colors.
FYI, your local Costo has the Sandisk class 4 8GB micro SDHC card for $15.99. They also include 100 free photo prints (worth around $10) if you have the need. I find the Sandisk cards to be compatible with the Nook. I had the A-DATA 8GB class 6 and the Patriot 8GB class 10 both of which lock up on my Nook.

I bought the 8GB SanDisk MicroSD card from Best Buy recently, but it doesn't say what class it is anywhere on the package, has code sdsdq-8192-ab11m on the back. It was sale price of $25, onlybought from there because I had a $15 certificate.
I'm guessing it's class 2. Can someone verify?
There should be a number in a circle on the card. That would be the class. I got a sandisk class 4 8gbat office max this week for 17.99. There were class 2 and 4cards in the same same rack. P
Confirmed that it was a class 2 card. Thanks.
