How to upgrade from a nightly build?

I have a Nook Color with a nightly build. I installed it not knowing it was a nightly build. I want to upgrade to the latest stable build. Any help on how to do that? I've forgotten how to root on the Nook since on always on my Evo.

Pls tell us more
1. You are running CM7 from where? eMMC or uSD?
2. Which version of nitebuild you currently have on the NC and which version of stable/nitebuild you want to update to?
Funny, I just asked the same questions to his same post in another forum.....
My humble suggestion would be to use ROM Manager Premium....nice and simple. Yes its a Buck...don't be tight..its a good program that deserves support. Lets you easily download and install Clockwork Mod Recovery and many different custom ROMs including both nightlies and stable versions of CM7.

Are you successfully updating ROMS with ROM Manager while running CM7 from the SD card?
The CM is running off the SD card. The nightly on my Nook says this:
CyanogenMod-7-07042011-NIGHTLY-encore. I simply would like to update it to the most recent stable CM version.
I am familiar with Rom Manager as I use it often on my Evo. Always considered updating to Premium. Question is, if u get Premium, will I be able to use it on multiple devices?

As a general rule yes... you can run paid apps on multiple devices... HOWEVER:
DO NOT use ROM Manager for an SD card install.
Follow the directions in the SD card thread for updating SD builds.

Ok so after reading that thread over and over, I was unsuccessful. I even went to other threads and was told Nightly 201 was the most stable, and to just place it on the root of my SDcard and to boot. I did that and it seemed to install. But when I turn it back on and check the version, its the same nightly version I originally installed. Ideas?
I also have a plethora of SD cards, on case I should use them.

SCHIZOID all-in-one-the best ROM

This is the best ROM I have used on my dear old nook color. Surpasses all other ROMs by a mile, very pleasant, stable and better than the stable 7.2 GingerB. Kudos the people who developed it. Hope the developers won't forget to further fine tune this ROM

You should edit out that title. It makes it look like you are posting that ROM in this thread. Very confusing.

Apologies for the oversight, my first posting. Tried to edit, but unable to change the title on the main page

I loved the look and the flexibility of Schizoid but had very important apps that wouldn't install or wouldn't work once installed. Too bad, I REALLY liked it.
I need something that plays well with everything I've purchased.
I'm using this ROM as the primary for my daughters NOOK Color. Thank You to all the developers. My daughter is going to love her 6th birthday present.

[email protected]: I want to ask you if you could port the AOSP JB (Jellybean 4.2.2 (AOSP) RC2) also from MaclawStudio. Do you not forcing anything, no ETA only if you have the time and inclination, you can try to port AOSP JB?

Man, my kernel doesn't have any problem with sd-ext. Either the script you are using is the problem, either your sd-card is may not be properly partitioned. I'm using sd-ext on AOKP and used it on CM10.1 also along with my kernel. I did not touch the ext4 drivers, so no error should be expected. Please check your script or partitions before making such claims.

my claims are proven, im running all roms (cm7,cm9,cm10,cm10.1) with sd ext script intext+, all work fine...as soon as i flash your kernel, bootloops or stuck at boot...tried every procedure of flashing...nothing...im not flaming you, this is bug, thats it...and few more people reported this problem

There are people that posted in my kernel thread saying the sd-ext works perfectly, and my partition works too, with the same kernel. This means the problem is on your part, like I said, the script, or the partitioning process you used. They are just incompatible with my kernel. But ext4 feature works. Please try to understand. I know it's not flame, but it's a false claim.
If sd-ext works with my kernel, even for one single user, it is clear that it's not kernel's fault.

In Androidarmv6 github there is the fix...
keyguard_glow_pad_view, keyguard_glow_pad_container, etc..., are correct in Androidarmv6 sources.
Maybe in MaclawStudio sources isn't so.

Since Maclaw Studios only builds for MDPI phones, of course LDPI fix isn't included.

you said yourself: AOKP!!!! i was talking about cm9!
NOTE: this argument started on CM9 MIUI thread
and one more thing...Why all of you try defending Alinp, when im not attacking him?? I simple post my opinion on his kernel about sd ext problem , that I HAVE, and already found solution for sd ext, its not a big deal...i just want to put to a his attention to know that there is a bug with that script on my device, and that never happened to me on any other rom with some other kernels...he and i had discussion, its over, pls do not post your arguments on this one...Nishanty help me a lot on this one, so i can use his perfect kernel with sd ext...

okay man, I was just saying my opinion and you didn't specify the fault was with cm9. I dont know about cm9. but with AOKP and latest cm10.1 rc6, it works fine.

even for cm10.1 and AOKP, i found s2e (moded) better in terms i dont have to move Swype and Whatsapp to sd card/sd ext, it can stay at internal, and its eliminate lag causing of start ups and in-app...
but, as we said: opinions differ
BTW: anyone tried this rom yet?! ))))))

I hope you know that moving only the apk of an app doesn't create lags in that app. The moving of data and dalvik creates lag because the system needs to constantly access that data from a fast NAND flash memory, not SD. That's why I prefer the old CronMod A2SD script. It moves only the apks.
You're right, this is not an argument. But it's better to let the other users know what's right for them. I can't pronounce myself about Cm9 sd-ext as I never tested that, but being the same Filesystem drivers, it should work.

+2, for me stopped on boot animation too, fortunately this ROM isn't working :\ Running CWM, data + cache + dalvik wiped, coming from miniCM10, tried to reflash, nothing gets this ROM working so I doubt the problem is really on my side.

[Q] CM 10.2 SDCARD - Can I update with the nightly update?

Greetings!
Quick question.
I am running cm-10.2-20130901UNOFFICIAL-ovation-sdcard.zip on my HD+ via the SD Card.
Can I use the nighly builds that I find under settings/updates to update my SD card based ROM, or are the nightly builds just for EMMC based ROMs?
Thanks!

[Q] FolderMount on Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4 v7.9 (20140826)

Hi,
First of all thanks to all D.I.R.T Team for doing this incredible rom!! and say sorry for my bad english as is my first question here.
I'd like to ask if it's working FolderMount on this rom or if it's my device problem. Also if there's any other option for moving 'heavy' apps to ext sd on this omni based rom.
All congratulations to this forum and his members for the whole information.:victory:
