nexus one market issues, PLEASE HELP :(

i recently noticed when i try to download any app from the android market or update an app it will act like its starting the download but then never actually start it. im running the latest cyanogen rom. i have tried wiping and reflashing the latest cyanogen rom and reflashing the google apps addon. i have tried restoring to a previous backup when the apps were working in the market. i have tried flashing a non cyanogen rom even. nothing i can think of (my thoughts are limited since im fairly new at all this) and still no success. i had the same problem on my g1 with cyanogen and i somehow managed to get that working again by trying similar things but no luck yet with my nexus one and its really upsetting me. any ideas on how i can go about fixing this? thanks for all your help. i have also tried uninstalling the market updates and signing into other google apps like talk to try and jump start it on the advice of someone from another forum.

2.2 MARKET FOR ECLAIR!
This is an update that is gradually turning directly From google!
Sooner or later you will have it, but ... if you're hurry xD
Apply this update-nosign.zip through your OpenRecovery (any xD) and you have the market updated!
I attach also the apk, install via file-explorer or root-explorer in /system and give the right permissions!
update.zip ---> Market-update-nosign.zip
Apk ----------> Vending.apk
There's more:
Automatic Update
Update multiple (when it says "update all")
Comments is divided into tab
Overall speed improved!
Well then ... Have Fun!
thank you!i try it
why you don`t show some pic
Got it too two days ago, when the paid market is available to Singapore. I was browsing the market and find it look different but cannot figure out what is it, until I go to downloads and realise that it has a Update All button, this where I realise I got the 2.2 market.
However I thought the new market is only 2.2 only?
Great
Will try out later
i got the update but now i'm having force close and when i uninstall and go back, it keeps getting update, anyone experiencing this?

Mine crashed when I first tried to open a paid app's page, but after that it works again, when I reopen Market. Have you tried uninstalling the update and let it update again and once it done that, close and reopen market and try to poke around to see if it force close again.
Thanks for this, used the Apk... no issues to report.
Market Update (eclair)
90% of people already got it...
Good lookin out though! Worth the DL for those on custom roms that didnt get it.
I havent received this update and the APK provided causes force closes all the time. Im Telus Milestone on telus running GOT 2.1 update /w TELUS Lite 4.1
anyone else getting this problem?
Just update manualy. This silent update needs OTA update enabled. As it is basicly OTA, but just the silent version And custom ROMs dont have OTA working usualy.
The best feature in this market was not posted.
This market remembers what apps you had installed, and after doing factory/changing ROM this market automaticly installs back all the apps! Wonderful, no more need for MyBackupPro, well it is for apps that should be bought

Im also running TELUS Lite 4.1 and getting the exact same problem.
sooo... what features do we gain over the update that was given by default, versus your .apk file?
Is it really worth my time to get this?
As far as know there is no difference to getting update ofcialy or like this way? After all update only updates the market app, nothing else.
Thanks for apk.
I (for one) did NOT receive this update (OTA).
THANKS for the APK! I appreciate it...

[Q] Swype installation failing on gingerbread

Hi guys,
after applying update.zip for GRI40, I was reinstalling Swype as usual.
Removed the app, opened installer, it updated to latest version, but now it won't connect to swype beta program, saying that "The data network experienced a problem. Please try again.", even though I have a working wifi connection.
Are you also having that?
Thanks,
Henrique.
Same thing happened to me. It worked after I removed the Installer as well and then re-fetched it from https://beta.swype.com/android/get/
I had this problem with the last update. You probably have an outdated installer. Just grab the latest one from the swype website.
Correct.
There are no problems with the Swype executable on Gingerbread. Remove Swype and the Swype installer, then get both from the beta site again. The new installer should keep things up to date, and as has been suggested, that could be why you are having problems.
Thank you, all.
As I had mentioned, the installer did update to the latest version.
But my stupidity avoided it from working. In my hurry to get ginger all set'n'ready, I misstyped my email.
I do think they should come up with a better exception handling, though.
Apparently, they have a generic exception being caught and they cast all kinds of errors into that one exception, and that's how a wrong email ID ends up as a network problem.
Anyways, thanks to all.

GMaps not updating

So I'm running the debloat ROM which is great. However, the latest update for GMaps is failing during installation saying the package is not signed properly.
Anyone else seeing this?

I'm running VirusRom and noticed this too. It also happened with Re-Engineered on my Incrediible; the dev wrote a zip and attached it in the OP of the thread.
MarketFix did not correct this problem.
What version of maps are you running? 5.2.1 is the newest version right?
I currently have 5.0.0, 5.2.1 is not installing for me. Says package not signed correctly.
Stock - not updating
I noticed Saturday that GMaps did not update and I am running stock.
Any one else see this happening? Anyone have any suggestions?
Go into.market and install some devs remove the link to the market so it never checks for updates
if you just install it from the market it will just replace it and update

try deleting it from your phone then reinstalling.

[Q] S- Choice and Samsung App Installer ?

Dear People,
I don't know if and what I have done, but S-Choice closes with "Install the latest SamsungApps first" and I cannot find a Samsung Software Installer Icon anywhere....
There is some green icon that says "Software update", but it doesn't work...
I am on an unrooted 4.03 LPY, how can I get this Samsung Software installer thing back, without rooting?
Is there some apk I can use, and if you have it, would you please share? Or is a reflash needed, or system reset or something? (Would really hate that...)
Much obliged , TIA

I had the exact problem after installing ics. The only solution I could think of was a factory reset. Even though it was a hassle, it fixed it also my battery seems to be doing better as well since the fr. Good luck!
