Could someone please explain or point me in the right direction on how to flash the latest CM7 Nightly over my existing CM7 (Build 19) so that I do not lose my screen setup/apps?
I am confused on how to go about doing this... obviously.

I am not going to tell you why you cannot download it as all you have to do is go to the ICSSGS thread and read the TITLE. tis a clue :
Otherwise i believe the ROM (RC4) is Odexed and therefore most themes / mods will probably not work.
please read in detail in future
Thank you and sorry for the idioticly question, I'll be reading it in detail next time

Team ICS RC4 is wipe version. So once you flash this ROM it will delete all your installed mod and app. This ROM is reported with some wifi/data issue. But for me wifi is working. You can try TEAM ICS RC4 if you want..
Hey guys,
Upgraded to 7.0.1 stable mod of CM7 this week on my LG P990, now my phone boots up backwards (or mirrored or back to front etc)
I tried an ICS mod too and it was doing the same thing. 7.0.0 of CM7 works fine...
So confused, need help, hoping its not a hardware issue!
Thanks
In advance, i apologise if my replies are slow, ill be at work for the next 15 hours...
Try temasek's CM7.2 KANG. Link in signature...
I'll have a look when I get home, thanks.

Still backwards... could it be a kernal problem? I'm relatively new to this and dont have much much understanding to what may affect a phone like this.
Ask from me what info you might need and im happy to try and find it...

Don't use the 7.0.1 stable! This is very old. The latest nightlies are much more stable and better.
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA App

Dude, its the only one that boots with my screen the right way round! No other build does and I need some serious advice!
Someone help please!!!
Keep a mirror in your pocket.
(Sorry, couldn't help myself)
Have you tried the latest temasek kang like was suggested above? Also, try reflashing and full wipe again, and one time more. Sometimes it doesn't work perfectly at the first flash. It has happened to me on a LG GT540. The first time I flashed the phone was acting up weird. Second time, same ROM, it was perfect.

since it's a CM10 4.1.2 rom variant you should be safe going to any other CM10 rom. I don't think you should try flashing CM9 or an AOKP rom over it, that could be asking for trouble. not all mtd roms use exactly the same partition system, so things can go wonky. to 'downgrade' or move away from CM10 you will likely have to restock and go from there. just my two cents. hope this helps.

Like many others on here, I have a stock, unrooted, old su660 (new bootloader) that I would like to install CM 10.1/2 on. I have read many of the forums on here but am confused about:
1. How exactly should I root? Using this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
2. Should I do this to install? CWM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1954903 Or should I use a newer version of CWM (and if there is one where is it)?
3. I understand Kowalski kernels is the way to go (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2441519) for the Cyanogen Mod p990 nightlies (http://get.cm/?device=p990) which is the way I would like to go.
If someone could walk me through this it would be amazing :good:.
Please help! It would be great if we could get an updated sticky.

CM 10.1 Nightly ROM is used in OLBL. You can down files to change from ICS stock to NewBL following the thread below http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737. And uses AIO Toolkit and Introduction to flash!

Yes. All there roms are the old bootloader.
On my HD+, I have been very happy with my version of Carbon (Carbon version-jb-unofficial-20131205-1426 to the point of not updating over a year.
Well now, I am really thinking of going to 4.4.3 (currently 4.3.1).
With all of the great posting you guys have on doing it right, I'm ready.
My question for all, what is the best way to move to CM11 form CARBON ROM version???
BTW - I do not have any backup of the original i case I have to go all the way back.
Since it been awhile, I do remember using an SD card for the installation (EMM??). Is that even possible now?
One last question, keeping up with all the on-going issues with CM11, should I go with the nightly builds and just keep updating or use a "stable" build for now?
Thanks to all for the help,
_dave
Can not anyone tell me the best to go on this??????

If you want CM11, use Succulent's ROM, which you can download here: http://goo.im/devs/succulent/ovation/cyanogenmod/internal/cm_ovation_11.0_07MAR2014_HD.zip
Backup all of your apps with Titanium Backup and you are good to go.

hi, i installed CM11 using the latest official Nightly from the CM website. what is this Succelent ROM, should I be using it instead? i only ask because performance is not amazing at the moment. my concern is the ROM you posted is from March 07 where as my Nightly is from yesterday or so. any reason to use what you posted instead? thanks.
Jan, thanks for your help. I'm getting it now. Quick several questions.
Which app pak should I use? Or does Succulent have the latest?
I believe I need a newer version based the latest Android built for compatibility.
Or do I just restore my backup?
