Hi, has anyone else notice when looking at photos using the HTC Photo Alrum the photos are not very sharp, but once you zoom in and then zoom back out, they are perfectly sharp in detail. Is this a known bug. I know I use Vignette for my camera and use the full 5MP resolution. Is there a better photo alum to use where it keeps the resolution when panning thru photos? Or a fix for the default 2.1 HTC album.
Thanks

hi all.
do you know that stock camera for i9001 can take pictures closer than film videos?
after i find it i was interested is there some app that can film videos in macro... i download LGcamera free from market and find out that this app can focus in preview to macro objects even closer than stock app, for distance about 2cm! try it, it is amasing! but it can't film video in macro! afrer pressing the shutter button focus go away for 50cm or something...
i find this strange, why macro is different in different apps and why app can focus for macro filming in preview, but can't actually film a video? it is seem to be just a software issue.
can anyone please fix it in firmware? it will be really cool to take macro pictures and videos in HD720p
Hello guys,
With a little help from my friend i believe i will solve this issue.
When i take some photos and use the video feature, to compile all the photos and make a beautiful video with some effects with all the photos i've taken, some of the photos (in the video) appear to be doubled (in the same image) during the video.
Some photos split in 2, other in 3.
What is this? Any help, would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you are talking about the ''video highlight'' feature in the gallery app, this is normal, its a built-in effect to compensate for pictures taken in portrait mode(1080*1920) when the video plays in landscape mode (1920*1080). If picture were not duplicated/cropped that way, there will be 2 black bars each sides for every pictures clicked in portrait.

Hello,
Thanks for your kind answer.
Let me explain better:
Today i take some photos. I select the photos and with video highlight feature, some of the photos i selected appear in the video doubled or tripled (in the same image). Like same picture: left side no zoom, right side with zoom.
Did i make myself clear? Do you understand?
Only in the video some photos appear with the image divided. Same picture both sides (sometimes with zoom, other times no zoom at all).
Thanks for your help
Cheers

Yes that was already clear, the issue you are talking about is not, its a built-in effect from the ''video highlight'' feature of the gallery app.
All HTC One do exactly the same thing.
I took some pictures this last weekend while on vacation and the pictures didn't seem to come out very clear at all. I was going through the photos again today and noticed there seems to be a bug in the photos app that is not processing the photos or showing them in full detail. I can zoom into one of my pictures and right away the phone would clear up the photo and I could zoom back out and the photo would then be real clear and a good looking shot. Scrolling through shots without zooming in and back out made all the pictures look poor quality. Here is an before and after. I tried clearing data on on the photos app and still the same. Anyone else having this issue?
For a while now, I haven't been able to zoom in/out properly using camera apps that I've found on the app store (particularly Z Camera and Camera360). The problem is that when these camera apps are open, the image you see does not zoom. So if I pinched zoomed (or even used the volume keys to zoom), the live view you see does not zoom. However, once you actually take a picture, then the zoom actually shows up. Here's an example to hopefully clarify the problem:
Using the Camera360 app, I pinch zoom to 8x but don't take the picture yet. The live picture view on my screen stays at 1x even though I zoomed to 8x. Then, I take the picture and when I view/open it, the image is truly zoomed in to 8x.
As you can probably guess, this issue is a bit frustrating since you can't really tell how much you've zoomed in/out until after you take the picture. The strange thing is that the stock camera app works perfectly (no zoom problems).
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active-i537. This problem existed when I had UCUAMF3 (4.2.2) as my firmware. I've done a factory reset, and that didn't solve the issue. I just installed UCUCNE3 (4.4.2) in hopes of fixing the problem, but that also hasn't helped.
Any ideas as to what's causing this issue and how to fix it?
I've just bought k20 pro and I noticed the snapchat camera is always zoomed in compared to stock or google camera, is there a way to fix that or am I missing something, because I use snapchat camera way more than stock one and the picture quality in that suffers due to zoom issue
Snapchat does not works well in an android because of lots of other android phones with different screen sizes, chipsets, cameras, etc and the its is not actually zoomed it is stretched due to full screen aspect ratio and quality is **** than stock camera all you can do is use filters or buy an iphone

It's all because external apps in android don't use hardware camera implementation, instead they are using preview from recording view. There is no way for you to fix it, but app developers can just change implementation. Hovewer they won't probably do it, as there are too much different devices running android.
It's not zoomed in. Keep in mind that you're comparing 4:3 to something like 16:9 to 18:9. It cuts off the sides, which makes it look like it's zoomed in, but it's not.
Nothing can be done. Snapchat, Instagram etc uses the screen capture of the view finder,so the quality of the pics will be trash. To get optimized and good results go for iPhone.(any variant)
