the last image stays until boot:
note: it runs normally on the phone and the transparent part around the part where the head blows up is black
edit: it would probably help if i attached the file
Where's the file so i push this?
Thanks in advance!
i'm dumb. first post updated
awesome, testing now!
let me know how it works for you. i think tonight i'm going to do some sort of loading animation with the blood splatters
Pushed to /system/media and is working great!
The Android guy on the last screen is cut off just slightly but still looks gooooood
Prob due to my screen size, Hero200 (320 x 480)
here, try this. i changed the desc.txt to fit your screen size

Sure, it's the title_bar_portrait.9.png located in the framework-res.apk/res/drawable-mdpi or ...hdpi
This one threw me for a while
...also, even though it's a .9.png I find if I resize it to what I what it doesn't cause any issues or require any patching. I find 320 x 20 to be a good size. Just saves having to patch the .9.png each time if you happen to make changes to it a lot
Do you know if it just shows up in that pulldown-menu, or is it used in more places?
I would guess by the name of the file that it does show up in other places, but I have never seen any graphical issues when having changed it, but then again I have never dramatically changed it, so couldn't really say. Turn it pink and see

Yes, good idea. I might try it tomorrow.
Thanks, that was the one I was looking for!
Just fyi:
I took the time and made a pink version of that image.
It seems it's only used in the pulldown menu. Haven't noticed it anywhere else.
Thanks again!
Just figured I would share this with everyone; it is the .psd file that I start each custom dock with. It has layer that shows the bounding ares of the icons, as well as guides to help with laying things out. It makes it easier to see how your dock will work with either a custom icon set you are making, or icons in general really.

Hmm... could have sworn I attched the ZIP... oh well, its there now xD
Thanks alot.. And I thought I was just getting too old to see
AWESOME!!! Thanks a zillion. This gem has inspired me to get creative with a homegrown dock.
Oh thanks, I hope I'll make something with this
wow HUGE thanks for this, I make docks all of the time, but I get frustrated when I apply it and my icons are offset
looks good!
I have an idea for an awesome boot animation. The pop tart cat! That would be awesome.
This is what I mean
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yJgwwDcgV8&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I see that the video is square and wouldn't fit the whole screen, but I would like some way for it to.

Why do you need boot animation like that?

you've gotta be nuts.... if you boot your phone more than once a day you'll have to be put into a jacket that makes you hug yourself for a LOONG time
It's awesome. You kidding me? Pop tart cat is like the future of all internet cats.
ROFL. Something like this?
Download the animation here

I modified some of the already available softkeys to my liking. Someone asked for them on deviantart so I'm posting them here as well. They are white on transparent back 80x80 and I use AOKP ROM Control to apply colors over it..not sure how it is on other ROM's but I'd imagine its the same.
Theres 6 images in the ZIP file. It's just a zip file NOT CWM flashable. I don't know how to make those if someone wants to do it by all means do so and let me know I'll put it in the OP.

Thank you sir ^^
Fo sheezy :cyclops:
Thanks
One thing though; that arrow is a little pixelated. Don't know if it'll show on-screen, but it was the first thing i noticed.
Sorry about late response! The pixels don't show up when you use the soft keys. I thought of the exact same thing when I was making them because it came like that...but its too tiny to see the jagged edges. Should be fine..
Sup,
Because i was faszinated by this .gif i made my own Boot Animation out of it

just exchange the original bootanimation.zip in system/media with this and set rw/r/r
It's only 720*1280 pixel but 25mb. 5FPS
Download Link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?atlqubjtfs7dszm
Download Link v2:
http://www.mediafire.com/?4ye9vepshfv27h1
Now it goes with 8 FPS instead of 5, and XPERIA stays for 3 Seconds.
Was the "Xperia" intentional?
Since it stayed there for such a short time it seemed it was not supposed to be there.
Did you perhaps open the original zip and edit it?
And yes, 720x1280 is the way to go...
