how to flash stock recovery ? - Dell Streak 7

how to flash stock recovery ? (remove cwm)
i cant find the image file
fastboot works fine, i can flash system-orig.img no problem

Factory restore back to Dell Image files.
copy recovery and boot to sdcard2
flas_image /dev/block/mmcblk3p1 /sdcard/sdcard2/recovery_orig.img
flas_image /dev/block/mmcblk3p2 /sdcard/sdcard2/boot_orig.img
Then go to Fastboot mode by power off, then power and vol - at the same time.
Then type
fastboot flash system system_orig.img (make sure system image is in same directory as fastboot and adb). Let it sit for about a minute
after it transfers, type: fastboot reboot
Then download update and install, make sure you have 50+ battery.

Thats flash you have a typo

About your Boot Img errors!

Hi, I have heard a few of you have been getting error when Flashing a boot img recovery and fastboot.
Today I noticed the same thing to my device. I fixed it....
Here's how
1. Download This KDZ
Clockwork Recovery Rom.kdz
2. Download KDZ_UPD_En
From Here: KDZ_upd_fw_en
3. Extract the KDZ zip you downloaded and run KDZ_Updater.exe
4. In the dropdown menu's select 3GQPT and If your phone is running select DIAG
5. Open the clockwork recovery rom.kdz hit the open button and find it in your file directories.
6. Then Select Update now.
[TIPS] - If you are using a PC use the back ports of the PC
- If the update fails restart your PC and do steps 4 and 5 again.
- If your update doesn't finish and your phone doesn't work, keep trying again
Wait for it to finish
After it has finished.
1. Your phone may not boot if you came from a custom rom. Reboot into fastboot and type Command in CMD: (Make Sure you have fastboot and fastboot drivers installed) (My fastboot is in C:\Android
cd C:\Android
fastboot -w (wipe all data)
2. Download CWM recovery img from here
3. Rename the img to recovery.img that you just downloaded
4. Copy that to where your fastboot is setup. eg mine is in C:\android
5. Type commands: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
6. Then type Fastboot reboot
Now reflash you rom and you should have no errors

Stuck while updating N1 to TexasICS.Phone not booting.

Hello All,
I am a noob and recently learned how to root, unlock or re-partition, install blackrose etc but using your blogs and wikicynogemod.
I am trying to update my phone to Texas ICS using blog by OP- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1366897
I was able to reach till the step mentioned below :
i.e.
fastboot flash hboot hboot_brcrust_220-10-206-ICS.nb0
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w
and now my phone shows TexasICS on the second line that mans it flashed correctly.
I downloaded the tar file "Evervolv-Perdo-2.2.0a6" but I am clueless about the next steps.
1. To build Evervol --> How and where as repo command doesnt work on my computer undert android sdk directory
2. tar xjf --> I am using windows 7 and hence no tar on my laptop.Meanwhile I am downloading the zip file also and see if unzip works.
But I am curious where to run these commands- either on cmd prompt under android-sdk directory or the phone emulator.
And interestingly, android-sdk dont have unzip/tar command and I have no access to phone now, its not booting.
Also I cant login to my phone now, when I boot it, its stuck at the Nexus One startup logo, not going further, so I believe I can't put anything in the SD card now.
Kindly help as my phone is not accessible now and I am kind of handicapped because of that
FYI : Recently I upgraded the phone to 2.3.7 using Cynogenmod, clock recovery.
you might have lost ur recovery
so fastboot any preffered recovery.img . put .zip in sd and flash it
or you can fastboot system.img, boot.img n recovery.img
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
If you have a custom recovery like clockworkmod just turn on your device holding trackball or something (I don't remember exactly) and you'll be in recovery or fastboot. Anyway, go to recovery and restore your nand backup. After that you can keep trying (or read below).
If you don't have a backup you can insert the SD card directly into the computer and copy the Evervolv latest version (.ZIP). Then go to recovery and wipe data & cache then install the zip from sd card.
You don't need to pay attention to the building Evervolv part of the post as it's not needed for the install. Don't forget to flash gapps later if you want to.
Sorry for my English and I hope this helps as I'm a bit noob also

I assume that you have mini-sdk.
Download the twrp recovery for your phone and rename it recovery and place it in the fastboot folder.
Now put your phone on fastboot mode ( power + vol down ---> fastboot )
now open command line in the fastboot folder by holding shift and right click
then type
fastboot flash recovery recover.img(name of the recovery)
fastboot erase cache
You are done.

how i do it??
It does not recognize because you must not have debugging enabled.
enable it
Download the latest TWRP
put the image file on the same folder as your fastboot/adb
Rename TWRP recovery to "recovery.img"
Use these commands:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
you can get flashify from the play store. links below.

Please Help Tried Updating to 4.4 Kitkat Bricked

Ok so I tried updating my phone that was already rooted on Android 4.3 S-OFF to 4.4 kitkat with sinless rom sense. Transferred the rom zip to my phone, then proceeded to wipe the system and data, as well as davalik cache with clockworkmod recovery. Attempted to flash the rom and it aborted. Tried a few times and nothing worked. Didn't realize till after that my phone had no OS, and now all I can do is enter the bootloader. Can't enter recovery as the phone will enter clockworkmod then abort and reboot the phone. Not sure what to do at this point as I tried one of the guides and couldn't figure it out. If anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. At least I backed everything up on my computer manually and am using my iPhone 4 until I can get this fixed. Thanks in advance.

How do I reflash recovery when I can't access the filesystem? Do I need to setup ADB and connect to my phone via command line to initiate the transfer? Can you link me to a thread that explains how to setup ADB in a case like this? Thanks
You need to reflash cwm. I'll try find a link. But after recovery is working you would have to use ad b to sideload the Rom. Have you tried from bootloader fastboot erase cache?

My biggest issue is being able to reflash clockworkmod. If I could that out of the way, I already have the rom on the phone storage, so I should in theory be able to reflash I'd think.
I don't have the option to delete cache within the bootloader under fastboot

How did you get your One rooted, then?
You need to install ADB/Fastboot on your computer. Best to create a folder directly on C:
In that folder you also copy the .img of the recovery (you need latest TWRP for 4.4 ROMs)
Now, once ADB/Fastboot Folder is set up, the TWRP download is copied into the same folder, you go to your bootloader and connect the One via USB and select FASTBOOT (red letters) and once connected you see (USB)
You open a CMD window (START and type cmd) , in that window you point to the fastboot folder:
cd c:\fastboot (or whatever name you choose as in link above)
fastboot erase cache (enter)
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.4-m7ul.img (enter)
fastboot erase cache (enter)
you see the commands running in the cmd window
after that you can choose inside the recovery the ADVANCED option and SIDELOAD ADB
I have not done that, so you need to search the forum on how to do that.

Just saw that you still have the .zip of your ROM on your internal storage. So just choose to install that and that's it! Be careful with the wiping option and only choose factory reset or cache/dalvik and never system!

flash which ROM ?

Hello, my watch R has 5.1.1 (LDZ22D) stock ROM and it has some problems. I tried factory reset, still not ok. I would like to try flashing again the stock ROM. I have found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch-r/development/stock-boot-recovery-g-watch-r-t2956964 , i downloaded boot.img, recovery.img and system.img, checked SHA1 but i don't know which version should i try? 5.1.1 (LDZ22D), 5.1.1 (LCA44B), 5.0.2: ??? Are there limitations for downgrade / upgrade ?
And as a guide to flashing...
1. i start watch, swype 11 to 5, so now in fastboot mode i connect to PC, the PC detect the watch as what ?
2. adb devices and if watch is detected i continue.
3. fastboot flash boot boot.img
4. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
5. fastboot flash system system.img
6. restart
is that ok ?
How long does it take to flash each of those imgs ?
thank you

Notes/FAQ:
1.) I re-mkbootimg-ed them since I'll be uploading 2 x 20+MB files if I didn't. Still has the same SHA1 checksums as the ones being checked by stock ROM so it's safe to flash.
2.) If you're confused on how to download click on the box marked in this pic.
3.) The commands for flashing are as follows:
Boot: fastboot flash boot boot.img
Recovery: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
System: fastboot flash system system.img
*replace boot.img, recovery.img and system.img with their respective filenames
**how to obtain the fastboot executables and drivers are explained in a separate thread
4.) The system.img provided above are stock and NOT ROOTED. If you want to go completely stock, just flash ALL the 5.0.1 images above.
*only for 5.0.1 since I didn't make a system image for 4.4W.2 or below

took that from the link you posted, just conect the watch to the dock while in fastboot mode, search for 15 second adb/fastboot installer, after installing that and the computer detects your watch just follow those steps using cmd and navigating to the directory where the files are at first, remember to install fastboot and adb system wide on the 15 second adb installer
when in fastboot mode the watch is not detected:
C:\Users\user>adb devices
List of devices attached
when i chose "recovery" in fastboot mode (android robot on back with door open and red exclamation mark) i get:
C:\Users\user>adb devices
List of devices attached
410KCHserialnr888 sideload
but the watch says he waits "adb sideload <filename>"
what i am doing wrong ? something else had to be done ?
thank you
you can use adb to boot watch on bootloader, but it is not needed since you can boot into fastboot already, problem is the watch is not detected on fastboot mode, try finding some drivers or something, what i usually do is download cydia impactor and select usb then let it do the driver stuff for me, quote me next time so i can get notified when you respond
