[THEMES]i9000 Themes w/ working haptic

Below are a list of themes that have been modified at people's request to have working haptic...
They are compatible with JPY/JS3 ROM's currently...
if there is a theme you'd like to use in the i9000 forum, and you'd like working haptic just send me the download link and I'll modify it and post it here... enjoy!

Haptic doesn't work on the Blue Generation X. I just flashed it over Serendipity.

How did you try it? Did you try to install?
All you need to do is move the apk to system/app and rename the original to .old or .bak . You do not install this like a regular app

All I did was try to flash with CWM. Didn't change anything; no Root Explorer/PC access.

[edit] I should have looked at the original thread. This is flashable through CWM.

Ahh. Um... what's adb? I'm still new to this....
And does it cost money? I'm tapped.... ;-;

dl root explorer...If you're gonna start playing with your phone it is one of the best tools you can have.

OP says you CAN flash via CWM, thats what original instructions say.

yup you are 100% correct..My apologies for giving the wrong instructions.

But it still doesnt work...I don't think the CWM method will work with our fascinates. =P

Really if you have a rooted phone you should have the android sdk/adb installed...too many in the root community don't....but really should

CWM flash method didn't work for me either. BUT! I did end up making it work.
1. I downloaded the colored market ZIP of my choice.
2. I extracted the Vending.apk from said ZIP file.
3. Opened System/Apps via Root Explorer and renamed my original Vending.apk to "Vending.apk.old"
4. Moved the newly extracted colored Vending.apk to System/Apps.
Worked like a charm. No reboot was needed.

I used the blue/white marketplace listed at the beginning of the linked thread and it matches your BlueBread theme perfectly! Any chance of seeing these tweaks incorporated into your upcoming themes?

Thats kinda why I posted this. Was hoping the themers would incorporate this into their themes.

Its possible I would theme markets at some point....personally I avoided it so I wouldn't be accused of breaking market downloads.

I completely understand your reservations. I'm just (selfishly) anxious to see what you could do with this, if you ever did give it a shot.

Is Root Explorer useful to a casual root screwer like me? I do wanna get more into it, though, but still... four bucks, man.

k, here is a gingerbread theme for MIUIwiz....didnt do a whole lot for it, but if you want to add more gb apps, pull them from com rom, most are compatible with MIUIwiz (obviously not launcher2)

Instructions:
1. place on sdcard
2. flash in cwr (3.0+ is preferable)
3. reboot
4. go to data/system/ and delete ms3c_yamaha.cfg (if you dont rotation wont work in apps)
for those using godialer, set theme to dark/black to match

version 1.0 (for miuiwiz 1.0 only)

we list releases for what they are intended for in the thread title...so where it says (Miuiwiz) that means it for miuiwiz, not cm7...if it says (cm7) in the title then it would be for that
the majority of cm7 themes are for the theme chooser anyway...check android themes or the market

yeah, i thought this was something simple enough to do (although it wasnt as easy as i thought ) just to give some options for the miuiwiz users

hello i'm just looking for a new theme......i want a dark theme. i'm currently running super clean 2.9 eb01 and i was wondering if the download at this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15183113#post15183113 will work for eb01.....the title says eb01 but the whole post says dj05....i'm confused...
if anyone knows about any other nice dark roms/themes for eb01, please send me a link. thank you.

Yeah, the OP said that he ported it to work with EB01 from the original that was for DJ05. You're good to go on that one.

You must be using Legend 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 or it may mess things up for you.

Be honest with you, I don't know, I would think so since they have the same 9 toggles and lockscreens, but the resources could be different.
