Im using Perception 10.3 with Speedmod k13b kernal with jl2 modem and when I turn my wifi on and then return to my phone later on, I dont have a connection.
All I have to do is turn it off and then back on again and it starts working but I miss emails, etc while its not working.
It use to work fine then all of a sudden it started doing this.
I have also tried the kp1 and jl3 modems and it does the same thing.
What can I do to keep it connected all the time?
Check the settings under advanced in wifi settings. Wifi might be set to sleep when turned off. Try always on.

I recently bricked my phone, made a jig, flashed back to stock Eclair, flashed Gingerbread. I thought everything was fine until I left my house today. When I leave my house wifi connection, my phone won't connect to the mobile data network. Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this?

I did try that but it doesn't work. It shows to be connected already. When I push it, it shows to disconnect. Then when I connect it again, and it says "data network mode is activated", it still does not work.

Could you elaborate on the APN? I don't know what that is, where to look for it, and what I should set it to. Thanks.

Hi,
2 days ago i've installend the CM7.2.0 Stable TASS in my Galaxy Mini.
For this flashing i've done alla the 4 Wipes.
Now i have this issue: when i don't use the phone and it go idle (after few minutes) the WiFi connection became disabled so i can't get the notification of apps the use the internet connection (IM for example)
When i take the phone and i unlock the screen, the WiFi connection became online again.
Is this a bug or just my unconscious bad configuration?
Thanks
Its a default for cm its normal.

I'm asking because with the previous RC5.7 i did not had this kind of feature.
Is it a way to manage this kind of features?

Hey,
Two days ago my phone started to turn off the wifi connection when the screen is locked. Sometimes I even have to restart the phone to get the connection back to work.
It does not happen to the 3g connection.
I have checked all apps if any of them are causing the problems in their settings. And I don't use any battery saver apps.
Anyone had the same problems?

You've checked that the "turn off wi-fi when screen is off"-option in advanced Wi-Fi settings is set to "Never"?

I noticed that after disabling/turning off Wifi, it still stays on and consumes battery, although Wifi icon shows switched off in notification and settings section. Restarting phone helps and WiFi finally switches off, however I do not want to restart phone every time when I want to switch off WiFi.
Does anyone have this problem and how ro resolve it?
My phone is in latest version on android 5.1.1 and on previous version I did not have such problems.
A factory reset might help

Thanks, but I would rather keep factory reset as a final option.
Any other suggestions?

Sorry for silly question, how to configure WiFi to stop searching for network if it's turned off?
Thanks.
Go to settings - wifi - 3dot menu advanced.

Settings>Wifi>Advanced Settings and untick scanning always available. See if that helps
