I just got a G2x yesterday, and the OTA just came this morning, and I tried to root with SuperOneClick but it doesn't work, is there any info on how to root gingerbread or do i have to revert back? (And yes I'm on my sensation cuz I ain't set up all my apps on my G2x yet, didn't feel like setting up xda app just to post this thread, cuz I'm trying to root it first)

And the gingerbread update is coming in.......who knows. So if you did switch (if that's possible ) you'd be waiting a while for the bug fixes

i don't understand why LG think G2 is more important to get GB update than optimus 2x...
Simply put I think the network forced them into it. Over here there are less users over many more networks that don't have the same clout as those in the USA

Not that impressive but it does have kind of a cool concept... I also heard that LG is upgrading the optimus 2x to ICS and is planning to update more "high end" LG phones. Hopefully that will include the revolution!

Well, It's been interesting having the LG Thrill and I have moved on.
Some might hate, but I'm a minimalist and I enjoy the simplicity of iOS and I just recently picked up an iPhone 4s for trading in the Thrill, and if anyone else is considering selling their Thrill. Target has a good deal about trading in phones... Mine was pretty beat up and they took it for $95 which they took off the price of the 4s.

Now, that has changed to LG.
Well I had Galaxy Spica - horrible support, Motorola Milestone - horrible support, and now P990 with horrible support. We're running out of manufacturers here :laugh:
P990's ICS V28G was bad without ramhack.....
and i'm decided to buy a Xperia Tx now...
This thread is going really funny. Started against LG but someone also said .... Samsung is bad....then.....sony is bad.....I say "Motorola is worst nightmare" and now in fact I will not buy LG anymore.

You should go for a nexus 4 ... The 16gb Version. LG is the manufacturer, but Google is responsible for the Software. It will be up to date for the next three years and has amazing Hardware. 2gb RAM,.....

I wouldn't be so certain about getting updates for three years.. the Nexus S already won't be getting 4.2 and it's only two years old.
