Lol. We probably are not gonna see that! Just think about it, it took lg almost one year to adopt to gb, so eta for ics will be launche-date plus approx 1y... just saying....

come on.. first of all wrong section, it has nothing to do with development! second, stop posting new threads about GB, like the Mods asked you to!!!

I wouldnt bet on that... lg never fail to disappoint, imo, I'd just rely on the assortment of custom roms we have here in the forums
and why are post like this in the dev section?

Are they gonna release the source when they release gb?

One thing they are good at is getting source out quickly.

Those multiple and endless threads about GB official are boring, boring....
If you want GB root your phone, install either CyanogenMod either one of the 20e leak modded ROMS and you've got it!
The only interest of official GB is official GB Sources to enable our great community devs to cook better ROMs !!!

Some people not happy about my topic.
I am boring also discuss and wait official GB
But i just share with you new official news about GB.

I am happy with this official announcement.
But since nightly of CM has come falling down every day, i am not that much excited as i had been while waiting (or cursing ) lg for GB.

yes....i have this concern too...
as the official has announced that the 2x will get the 4.0...
why not optimus black then?...it is released into market much later than optimus 2x...

This news is Rocking Horse ****.. not likely to be seen or believed!

@OP:
Please change title from "LG Optimus Series Android 2.3 Gingebread Upgrade Available" to "LG Optimus Series Android 2.3 Gingerbread Upgrade timetable" because now it's misleading and suggests that upgrade for ALL models is available right NOW.

My UK unlocked t-Mobile OB will have faded into the ether by he time GB gets anywhere near it! LG - Lamented Gingerbread

I hope it will be a good rom because like that we can forgive them the time delay.

IF 2X and 3D are not going to be upgraded, Black has no chances of it.

i think so, because they said they 're planning to port ics even to other "optimus" high class. so if u leave 2x that is already planned, seems to remain 3d and black...
let's cross our fingers , maybe lg finally realized they did a mess with gingerbread deley and they want to repair the situation...

Not that impressive but it does have kind of a cool concept... I also heard that LG is upgrading the optimus 2x to ICS and is planning to update more "high end" LG phones. Hopefully that will include the revolution!

I really want to believe to be true.
Maybe I'm naive.

That the LG Optimus 2X is going to get Ice Cream Sandwich eventually is something that we know already. After all, the company itself made the announcement of an upcoming ICS update quite a while ago. However, we didn't have much information as to when the said update was going to be released... until today.
As stated by LG Mobile Singapore on Facebook, the LG Optimus 2X Android 4.0 update will start rolling out in Q3 of this year. In other words, there will be no Ice Cream Sandwich for LG Optimus 2X owners for at least another one and a half to three and a half months. Or at least not for those located in Singapore and the surrounding markets.
So there you go, folks: more evidence confirming that Android 4.0 updates can be painfully slow.

This updates should have come in the same time with the 2x but I have serious doubts now. We got no leaked update, we got nothing to make us think that lg is working on this device

ya we got no leaks, that was the biggest issue, eventhough leaks shouldnt happen, but they always do, see other devices

In Slovenia is confirmed ICS update for LG prada 3.0 next week but also confirmed version v20s for optimus 2x,so no ICS for O2X till end of year.

May be i guess LG declared as prada followed by 2x followed by 3d.
May be I could be wrong. But they will provide for sure
