Amzer Silicone Case

$10 bucks isn't bad. Haven't done a great deal of digging yet though for other cases.
Wondering if At&t is going to have any cases on launch. They have been historically bad in the past at carrying anything but iphone accessories on new launches.

I'm hoping AT&T includes a screen protector with it. They have with all other smart phones I've got from them.

Yes, but the Amzer case is not scheduled to ship before 12/1 per their website.

I can't find a single site selling a silicone case for the Focus right now - or any case for that matter. Where did you get yours?

Got my ebay case/skin. It's rubbery, fits well will contours matching the back of the phone. Camera, power, and volume are raised nubs, not cut-outs. Actually this helps with button actuation. Changes the feel of the phone in the hand substantially for the better. You have more control while typing, and you don't feel like the phone will squirt from your hand. Note this is the rubbery-soft type, not the gel type of skin (e.g. like the BodyGlove that AT&T sells).

Yeah, that's the one, or an equivalent from another seller. I'm sure they are all exactly the same. The kiosks at the mall would sell it for $20.

I try the ATT, I wasted my money. It is so tight that the power button is aparently pressed, so become very sensitive. to avoid this I drill a whole in the gel. Not good

Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case
I ordered the Amzer Silicon Skin Jelly Case for my Samsung Focus from Amzer.com and WOW!!! ... talk about absolute perfection!
I tried the $34 one from the AT&T store and it seemed like an idiot designed it and so of course I didn't expect much from a $10 case but figured it would be something until more are developed for this type of phone.
Boy was I wrong about this being a temporary fix because this $10 thinhg fits absolutely perfect, no obstruction with the buttons, looks amazing, feels like it protects this thing PERFECTLY! and feels so velvety smooth & grippy.
The reason I got mine already is because the black color is out of stock but not the other colors and so I ordered black for myself and maroon red for my wife and so they shipped hers already with no extra shipping charges. AND might I add that the maroon red doesn't look girly at all, it actually looks pretty bad-a%% with the black color of the phone. Of course I'm still waiting for my black one BUT for those want it now, the maroon red is the coolest color right after black.

I just ordered 2 of those jelly cases for the Wife and I, and I ordered a cool leather pouch w/belt clip case from www.focusaccessories.com to hold mine at work...

Could you post pics of your Focus with the Amzer case?

This one is about as slim as you can get.

I got the Raider case from Amazon for $4 (US). Hard plastic. The front and back snap together around the phone. I had a different case (AFG?), but it covered the power button and volume rocker, making them hard to operate. The Raider case has openings for the buttons.

Ordered the Incipio Feather last night, should arrive later this week. Comes with a screen protector too, which is a nice little plus. It's a few $ cheaper on Amazon vs myincipio.com site.

but hey, still about the ROCK case, if you want some more vivid colors, you can look for Yetaa website, then go to MobileMate section and look for it. they have some really nice colors for this case.

I ordered a Rock case the day I got my phone, but also ended up ordering a similar case from Best Buy (Canada, online only, the US store seems to not stock it) since I didn't want to carry the phone naked for three weeks while I waited for the Rock to arrive from China.
They're virtually exactly the same, but I prefer the Affinity case to the Rock case (it was also about five bucks cheaper) as it offers a bit more coverage at the top and bottom of the phone. The Affinity case actually dips in to cover the area between the headphone jack and power button. I'll see if I can't take a picture to compare the two sometime. I'd definitely recommend the Best Buy case to any users in Canada.

I've seen that one at BB. I ended up getting a commuter case, and it's great but sometimes it's annoying that it's such a dust magnet. I have to take it out and wash the case weekly. I bought a smoke TPU case off amazon but I don't really like it, so I might grab that one from BB as a backup.

Yeah, it turns out I was misinformed about it not being available in-store. I just checked and they have them at the two nearest Best Buys to me.
You can't really go wrong for $10, especially without having to wait for it in the mail.

How weird would it look like if i put a black case on my white vivid? Just wondering. Most cases I find are black...

My Incipio Feather case arrived from Amazon today, sells for $16.50 there. It's what I expected... like all of the other feather/barely there type cases. Fits well, with a nice smooth rubberized finish. Also came with a free glossy screeen protector, which is a nice bonus. These types of cases don't offer a ton of protection, but fine for around the house/office, to avoid scuffs and scratches. For what it is, I'm happy with it.

I have one that's not bad and its basic rubber like, its back makes it look like the Sensation :thumbdown:lol so any opinions also if there is a great thread on this a link would be good?

looking for a flip case or just one to cover the back? unfortunately there's not much choice with our phones

I have this one, it's cheap and pretty good

I use a black leather flip case by PDAir. Costs roughly $28, great look & feel. I've used PDAir cases for my earlier WM phones, so I'm happy with it.

Similar here, using S CURVED GEL CASE COVER FOR HTC Incredible S. Looks, feels nice and it doesn't make phone bulky. For screen I went with cheapest Matte Anti Glare protector. Survived a couple of drops (~2m) on tiles and still works like new (so I guess this would rate as Good )

Ive got the S one too, its got good grip, the sides are a bit rough so theres great grip.
It kind of breaks it up on the back too, I think it looks a bit weird without the case
It adds better feedback for the buttons too

I have the case mate barely there,I guess it won't protect very much, but it came with my phone when I bought it (used).
For screen protectors I use HTC Original ones bought on ebay.de (about 3eur 2protectors) they are nice.

It funny because I can't use the phone without it, I think it's too thin/slippery maybe because I had the phone with the cover since I bought it...

Otterbox defender.
Next best thing to Nintenium. Not cheap though.

I use the casemate barely there cover and a HTC original screen protector too. Reasonably good protection against scrapes and scratches, no extra bulk but won't protect against a hard knock or a drop I reckon.

For prospective buyers from England, I got me a" iGadgitz Dual Tone Black Durable Crystal Gel Skin" from Amazon
Cheap cheerful, pretty solid and has a screen protector included. Great!

I am using an Otterbox Commuter case.. The back is very similar to the device itself, but it adds a little bit of bulk to it.. (not much though). This case protects your phone against pretty much everything except for water (offcourse). I even dropped my phone once of the stairs and you couldn't even see it. Another good thing about this case is the fact it has two layers: rubber and a plastic case around it. The positive thing about this: the rubber also protects the earphone jacket and micro USB-plug against dust etc.. That was one of my main reasons to go with this case.. not the cheapest though, but it is excellent! Also comes with a screenprotecter btw..

I bought this case at the Sprint store the day I bought my phone just to have something to protect it in until I figured out what I wanted to do as a long term solution. This case ended up being that long term solution. It is very light and thin yet I feel provides a lot of protection on the corners and sides of the phone as well as protruding higher than the glass front of the phone in case the phone is dropped face first. I like the texture on the back of the case a lot in terms of my ability to hang on and use the phone with one hand. This case is a keeper in my opinion.

I also got this same case on release day, it's good case the design on the back gives it good grip. Like stated before it is keeper. But for me I gonna go with something a bit thinker just so I have a piece of mind. hopefully BG makes a tactic style case like the one for the gs3.

Picked one up from sprint as well and i really like it Offers nice protection, grip, and feel. I also got it to hold me over until i found a case i wanted for long term but may end up keeping it, it all depends on if my flygrip sticks well to that textured back.

I too picked one of these up at a Sprint store. I had to go to an official sprint store, the affiliate store I checked first said there weren't any cases being made yet. I paid $26. I agree with the above comments, it's quite nice, although I'll go with a water resistant (siedo/otterbox) whenever it comes out. I did have to trim the top edge of a couple of my microusb cables, I thought about trimming the case but it's pretty thin there, and I only had to very slightly bevel the plastic of the cable. I've had the same problem with my Nexus 7 so no biggie.

Yeah i just bought one too and this thing is too flimsy for my taste. I got spoiled by the Speck case for my Note 1. But i had to patience. Couldnt keep my phone in a plastic box for 2 weeks.

I would LOVE to have a Speck - the Speck case for my 80G Ipod looks like a tire!

Yep, I like this case a lot also but can't find it in France or elsewhere in Europe...

Also, this case isn't super rubbery feeling. If that's what you're looking for then this case isn't for you. Personally, I don't care for silicone cases because they get stuck in my pocket and and too rubbery feeling. This case is a bit more pvc feeling and isn't rubberized. I didn't think I would like it, but it's pretty solid. It's a bit more expensive though.

This looks close to what I am looking for. Is it one piece? Seems like it would just slide out ?

Yes it's one piece. Goes on like a TPU case does, just wraps around the phone

the only disadvantage is it doesn't have the raised areas over the buttons. that's key on the samsung case. I would much rather have the textured back on this one though. It feels great overall, slim, light, and makes the phone feel solid. I wish there was some compromise between them.

So has anyone found a way to get the body glove outside US? It seems to be perfect for my needs. Slimmer and prettier than the samsung tpu case. I've searched but nobody ships it to Europe. Is Sprint the only store selling it? Do you think the case will become available wider or should I just buy the samsung tpu?

I like the case too. You can order from sprint.com no matter where you live or order over the phone from them.

My cousin just got the GNII 2 days ago, and he too rapped it with the Bodyglove case. So far he likes the case a lot. For me when I get the GNII on 12/1, I will be going the Otterbox Commuter series case route. I will not take any chances when dropping $299 with a 2 year attachment, lol...

I have one, feels awesome. Just wish it had the covers over the buttons. other than that, no complaints

I hate the cases with covers over the buttons. Takes away from the feel of the phone and having to press extra hard to get a response from the buttons sucks. I have never had a BG cover that I have ever liked. Seen this one on the Sprint sight when I ordered it and it looked good so I gave it a shot. I have had 6 different TPU cases on other phones and this case is the best I have used. So I don't find it a down fall at all the buttons are not covered. Plenty of grip. Raised areas cover the camera and screen edge perfectly. Get it and you wont be disappointed! :good:

No we can't. Sprint.com doesn't ship outside US. That's the problem.

OEM Translucent hard shell case?

I just noticed that Best Buy has what appears to be the HTC OEM translucent hard shell case for $14.99. Search for SKU 5641313. Anyone have experience with it? I just ordered, but looks like it'll be over a week 'til delivery.

Barely notice it's there, which is great, but a few days down the line, the back of the case is already showing some scratches.
Does have a slight lip on the front to protect the screen face-down, though, which is good.
I don't think it'll last long until I cave in and get a DotView to replace it.

I was planning to buy this since I had a similar one for my One X. Then I found this Yesoo case. I got the gray one and really like it. Mine came without the branding on the back too which is nice.

I received my case today and threw it on real quick. I usually don't use cases, so this is for occasions (like on vacation) when I want a little protection from scratches.
This appears to be a first-party case from HTC, with the Product Name on the box listed as HTC HC C942 Hard Shell. It is translucent, as opposed to transparent, so on my Amber Gold M8 the color is definitely muted. It has HTC branding located directly over where HTC is on the back of the phone. The overall feel is good; exact match to the M8's curves with no seams that can be felt. It isn't slippery, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it soft touch.

Looks good! I have both the hoc translucent case and the yesoo case on the way! We'll see which one I like better

I ordered once cause it was cheap on eBay and I had one on my old M7. Will be interesting to see what it's like against the case that came with the M8 (which I quite like even though it's a little grippy when going into your pocket).
Nice to see some photos of it, gives me confidence in the product. Have you tried the SP that came with it?

I didn't even look at the screen protector, because I've been sold on glass screen protectors for years now. (Although I haven't purchased one for the M8 yet.)
It's hard to say for certain how the screen protector is without installing it, but laying it on the phone, it looks like it covers edge to edge vertically, but not horizontally, leaving maybe .2mm on each side.

I have a Zagg glass sp and I have a kaysone case which is same fit as yesoo case and it fits perfectly the screen bevlels in so it's not going to be an issue ,at least not with zagg

Possibly so it doesn't catch on other cases

Why the heck didn't the Sprint store have this when I bought my M8? They tried to sell me on some clunky $50 Otterbox or something. Ended up ordering a Diztronic TPU case for $10 from Amazon, but I hate how it hides how nice the phone looks. Nonetheless, I've have great luck with Diztronic stuff.

OK, got my one of these. First impressions, perfect fit - like to the mm. Thin but offers nice protection to the phone. Do I prefer it to the one that came with it in the box? I don't know. I prefer the fact I can get to the ports easily BUT I quite liked the fact the one in the box covered the ports so dust won't get in.
SP was easy to fit, and fits well, but it's fingerprint magnet - SO much more so than the screen naked. At least it's covered, though...
I'll give it a few days but might go back to the original case as it offers more grip
