[Q] JVK bootloader update problem. - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Because no one wants to help me in JVK thread i decided to post here.
I flashed no bootloader version and corrupted screen irritiates me, so where can i find bootloader only files to flash??
I've only found JVK boot.bin and sbl.bin for heimdall, can i flash those files in odin and how?

That I dont know . But I doubt you would want to go back . But I think in that long thread there was written its possible . But I really dont know, I just saw that post as you made this thread

One question more ;P
Do someone know an Eclair/Froyo firmware that flashes sbl so i can go back to previous bootloader??

[Q] Updating from XXJPY

Hi all, been a long while since I visit this forum, I am still on the XXJPY firmware and now want to update to the new one. Here is the problem:
I know I need to update the bootloader in order to do this; I know if i don't, I will lose my phone. I know there are two types of ROM one with bootloader one without. If i am going to update to XWJW5, where should I get the bootloader from? will ROM downloaded from Sammobile firmware page included the gingerbread bootloader?
or any other similar post had been posted before that can recommend me to read?
Thank you
Update: I have just extracted the firmware downloaded from SamMobile, and there are two files:
boot.bin
sbl.bin
does this mean it included the new bootloader? and i sould be good to go to reflash my phone as if there was no bootloader changed?
Follow the instructions in INSANITY rom thread there is a full flashing guide.u dont have to flash the insanity rom just follow the ODIN guide on how to flash and upgrade bootloader.
If u flash stock firmware tick bootloader update in ODIN..
But read the guide,before flashing.
Good flash;-)

Flashing s5830i firmware (please help)

hello there xda users
i have recently bricked my phone and managed to reflash the firmware, but, i had to add the bootloader file with the split firmware package.
what i want to do is install the latest XXLD3 firmware on top of the current s5830ixxkk5/gingerbread.xxlk1 firmware package but im worried because i am thinking that the bootloader file has to be the same as the firmware if you know what i mean. can i install the xxld3 on the xxkk5 bootloader without bricking my phone again? any help would be appreciated. thanks

As far as flash is concerned ....... i think u can... i am not pretty much sure but i think so.
but if u need a bootloader file go to unbrick tutorial of mine and download the package for unbrick... take the bootloader file from there..... its from xxld

Use ODIN flash YOUR stock rom csc/pda/modem to wait till it boots, after that go to download mode again and just flash pda of XXLD3 using ODIN again. For flashing you dont need the bootloader use ODIN 1.84. I change my WHLA1 to XXLA2 just by flashing the pda of xxla2
And by the way remember what feetsonfire said, this queries need to be on general section not in development

[Q]About using odin

Hi guys i have a question . If u use Odin for flashing a Stock ROM is there any way to prevent the bootloader from flashing or to remove the bootloader from the tar.gz file to prevent the brick ? Thanks for your answers !

You could just flash the full firmware from here. It includes the stock recovery.
EDIT: It helps if I post the link!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2795856

Is it OK to extract the recovery.img and flash that by itself? Reason I ask, me and my buddy r @work right now, no access to fastboot, this is actually for him, I have a Verizon m7 and he has a sprint. He wants to take the OTA and doesn't have a backup of his stock recovery, and once I find this recovery for him I'm gonna use flashify to flash it (I know, not the preferred method here on xda, but I've done it many , MANY times before).
So I can just extract the recovery.img and flash that by itself, correct?

I thought about that, but I've never done it before so I didn't want to suggest it. My guess is that if the phone is s-off, it should work.

Sprint engineering bootloader

Here is a link to a Sprint engineering bootloader
https://mega.nz/#!YCA0waqb!HidTv398zIAttut5wWYasEIeQXxcLXWHgmrYbtA_EYE
Bootloader loader v2 I believe for the: QI5 version
This might help someone.
I could be wrong but I will leave link up just because.
Does no good without the boot.img and stuff. discussed already on the one in the tmobile threads
EDIT: not even eng. this is combo.
You mean this
https://mega.nz/#!83Q0nDLA!8_B6kASfrygZZ5P2fcJvDAP9q14N4wwPQTWHBaonYGY
Sprint rom for bootloader
Neither of the links you posted are Eng.

I downloaded the first one and extracted it. its a combo bootloader. not eng. Combo and eng are VERY different. I looked at the file name of the 2nd one and if it was eng it would be E1 instead of U1. i havent downloaded it but i know its not eng so im not going to bother to.
I dont need you to be a **** to me. I know what the files should look like and those are not them.
