I have an issue with my Kaiser which I flashed with the latest Emobile Rom.
ROM Version: 2.6.881.0
Radio Version: 1.71.09.01
Everything is working fine, except the following:
1) Ringtones - can't upload any wav files etc in the ringtone manager (obviously I can work around this by other call managers such as Ringo)
2) Very annoyingly, the Video Call (Telephony) function is disabled by default for Emobile - not quite sure why. However, I would like to have this function ENABLED and have tried some add on cabs such as video dialler, 3G dialler etc. All are not working on this ROM and when installed the send and softkeys won't work.
Can anyone help me here? Maybe cooking the ROM or trying to find a way to enable 3G video call, please? I am on the road quite frequently and have a little daughter who I would like to see once in a while.
If not, any other JAPANESE Roms which have the video call enabled and work on an acceptable basis? I have tried WWE ROMs and converted those to have Japanese language capabilities, however do not find it acceptable (emails will be for whatever reason decrypted into questionsmarks ?????

For Canadian Rogers/FIDO subscribers, like myself, Name display on non- rogers or Fido phone does not work. However, with the help of pandaboyy and others, they were able to get it working on the Diamond1 and Touchpro1. Please see:

Try using this .CAB. It should be universal for most HTC-based WinMo 6 devices, as it works on my Xperia.

The only way we could get this to work on a Topaz or a Rhodium is for Rogers to release one of the devices. Name display worked on the Diamond, Raphael and Xperia because Rogers released a Rogers-branded Diamond, and the rilphone.dll from the stock Rogers ROM was used to get CNAP to work in all Diamond, Raphael and Xperia ROM's. However, the despite having most of the same hardware (processor, memory, etc.) specs, the Rhodium and the Topaz are different and that's why the rilphone.dll from the Rogers Diamond ROM won't work in them.

I am running LEO CELL EVO 4 Rom on my Tilt2. SO i gave the Rogers Name Display cab link above (under scar45 post) worked on my Tilt 2. Well not 100%. It works flawlessly with WM Phone dialer skin. However with HTC Sense Phone skin, during the incoming call it only shows the number however as soon as you answer it, the name shows up. it also shows up under the call logs. SO i am guessing for the HTC Phone dialer it must have something to do with the resolution of the phone canvas? any ideas anyone?
the rilphone.dll in the cab works with the tilt2. battery drain is normal with other rilphone.dll. it did not brick my phone. I will experiment more and let u guys know

Well, I did the same thing you did, and I get the same results. Strange that the name is displayed in Sense only after you answer the call...
Hopefully someone will be able to figure it out.

So far no one has gotten it to work properly using an HTC dialer. If you don't mind using the WM dialer, then it works just fine.

finally made a theme for windowsmobile standard devices that will look like a htc phone if you want to check it out here is the link and the battery that i made would work on professional devices to.

and the only reason i could make these new improvements by making a custom verson of the touch Htc sence2.1 and turning it into a standard version and thinking about trying to make htc sence 2.5 work to but going to need more time figuring things out. here is a pic of proof

I don't know if this will do a bit of good, but I thought it may help some of the devs out there.
Vodaphone is launching a low-cost Android handset that has a native resolution of 240x320 and is running 2.1.
Once this launches, would it be possible to import the theming / build components for use on a vogue? Would this make creating an eclair build any easier?

I've been trying to find the hardware specs of this phone, but haven't come up with anything.
You're right in that it would have natively-skinned/themed applications, and what could also be interesting is if it uses the MSM7x chipset.
If it does, it could mean some truly native support for things like GL.

Hard to find info on the chipset, theres also the HTC tide which is QVGA and comming soon. It uses a Qualcomm cpu tho Cant find info about the OS, seems to be running some form of Sense UI
There's a working version of IM.apk (from the original G1 roms) floating around for Eclair, one that uses EDGE/ 3G, but it F/C's on froyo.
I'm begging, please, someone port this! If it's easier, just tell me what needs to be done and where to get the source and I'll do it, but for the love of all thigns holy, can we please get on this?
I've got a log cat of what happens when it F/C's if that'd help.
