On the BN NC page, there is a picture of an app called "MYemail"
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nookcolor/index.asp
Does anyone have any idea what it is. My guess is that it is the email app referred to in the BN April update announcement. As an aside, I hope the update includes a fix for the wifi connect/disconnect problem.
you can just browse to your favorite webmail

That's obviously the browser. If you look in the address bar it's http://myemail.com/

ok, geez sorry.
fisrt is there a way to screen shot of my phone? maybe that would help.
anyway, it's like a notification window that covers the bottom row if icons on the home screen. can't get rid of it till i reboot the phone. there is an androidcentral.com thread "currently unable to download please try again later " that discussed it but didn't get to the bottom of the issue. i can't post the link cuz i'm a newb. i figued XDA could figure it out
Have you rooted your phone or done anything else to it? If you're rooted, you can take screenshots with ShootMe (you can download it from the market).
I believe the OP was referring to This post.
Is that right, OP?
i'm not rooted. right out of the box.
yes, veive. that's the post i was talking about.
so anybody here have any ideas?
It sounds like a 3rd party app that is messing up.
What apps do you have installed?
Edit to add: Have you tried a reset? also, what firmware are you using?
Apps
Adobe Reader
AroundMe
BBC News
Bloomberg
CNBC
Dropbox
Engadget
Facebook
Fandango
Google Sky Map
Google Voice
Lookout
Yahoo Mail
MMA News
NYCMate
Quickoffice
The Weather Channel
Twitter
USA Today
Weather Bug
XDA
Yelp
Zillow
Firmware: 2.1-update1
i have not tried a reset.
Likely either weatherbug or one of your news apps failing to connect.
Try uninstalling them one at a time and see if the issue goes away.
Just got a market update notification, installed it and now I also see the new CNN app for tablet. Very nice.
Downloaded CNN, its nice! but the widget has crashed on me twice already...

I didn't even know there was a widget Added it and has been running a few minutes without issue. Are you doing anything in particular to make it crash?

which one is the new one? I see several. Do I need to update my market?
This was posted in Feb...
I don't know if this is a problem related to the recent patch for ROM Manager, but I upgraded that app and it didn't fix it, so...
Anyway, I have two apps giving me fits right now:
Amazon's new MP3 Cloud player for Android, and "Good (for Enterprise)", which is a corporate email reader.
Both apps complain that my cell network isn't enabled. Both apps should work find over WiFi, and they are communicating with their servers in some capacity, because they are able to tell the difference between a valid login and an invalid one. But once I enter a valid login, they both complain that I need to enable my cell network.
Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm on WiFi, and I can connect to Amazon's web page fine. But when I login to the app using my amazon account, it complains about not being connected to a cell network. Why would it care if I'm on wifi?
Do you have the phone.apk telephony.apk and mms.apk renamed or removed by chance? The app could just be looking for those.
Ahhhhh, I see...
You mean like this thread?

I haven't done anything like this on purpose. I'm running the stock ROM with eclair and rooted via autonooter. Can I check for them using a file manager or ADB?
Ran into the same problem when I tried running the Yelp app on my Nook Color. Kept crashing on the install. After passing emails and logs back and forth with Yelp it turns out it crashing when it's looking for a phone, even though I'm on wifi.
He said they'd fix it in the next major release.

Just flashed CM7 final without any issues.
But Yahoo Mail only loads 10 newest emails. Engadget app won't launch. Anybody had similar problems?
I concur on the Engadget app...not sure about Yahoo since I don't use it. It's a bummer, the Engadget app is one of my most used on my phone.
I don't use yahoo, but the Engadget app works fine for me... it used to show up too small but there is a fix in Spare Parts - uncheck compatibility mode. This fixed it to show up properly. Maybe try that? What error are you getting, just a FC?
I tried to disable the compatibility mode, rebooted, still Engadget came up with a white screen.

So far I like the Android mail app better than Yahoo's for Yahoo mail. It is working fine for me with CM7 release
I have the same issue with Engadget app. Blank page after uncheck compatibility mode and reboot.
Feel lucky that you can get Yahoo Mail to work at all on this device. Every time I try to set it up, it tells me that the password is incorrect, even though it isn't. I've tried this on 2.1-2.3.
Somewhat off topic, but I find it ironic that I can't sign into the XDA app and view a thread I've participated in without a FC.

While I'm not on CM7, yahoo mail will no longer download e-mails for me on my autonooted NC. Worked just after I installed it and then, no new e-mails (accoridng ot the app) since April 10. Of course, my inbox online would beg to differ.
The Engadget app just takes a real longtime to load the EULA on CM7. Leave it at the white screen for 10-30 secs, then click Accept, and then you'll be rockin'.
Those two little arrows forming a circle never seem to disappear.. I don't know what it's sync'ing because I only have Google+ and haven't set up any other social media. The only other thing I have on my phone that sync's data is Weatherbug Elite.
I am guessing this is a bug, but is anyone else having this issue?
It'll sync quite a bit when you first update/flash something. Go into settings>accounts and look into each individual account - you will see a very faint circle next to what is syncing. Uncheck it and recheck it. Good to go. Reboot if that doesn't do it.

The weird thing is that I cannot uncheck anything, it doesn't have a check box in "Accounts" for any of my accounts.
I figured out what the arrows are there for.
FiOS Mobile Remote. It keeps starting up for no reason too. Hopefully they fix this.
Anyone have a previous version?
EDIT: Some time today they released an update to the "FiOS Mobile Remote" on the Market and it's fixed.
