Before start procedure let phone load fastboot directives (a quick green text sequence after 1-2 second after bootloader appearance). After that start first step by linux distro. If not works, you are not fast enough (timing is very importat in power button pressing)

[Q] Noob needing help! Stuck at Boot menu after swaping motherboards

I bought these two heros because one was beat up and was new.
Beat up one:
Had a clean esn but a bad body
New one:
Clean body but had a bad esn
So i had a guy swap the mother board from "the beat one" to the "new one"
and now the screen is stuck at the boot screen. Every once in a while it will restart after about 5-10 minutes.
So my question is what do i do??? where do i go to fix this?
is there anyway to master restart it to be normal?
help please! thank youuu!!!
Anyone with any thoughts or ideas? please help!
Wow, I think you went about this the wrong way - I would have personally pulled the clean esn from the old phone and put it on the new phone with the bad esn....
But either way - can you boot into recovery?
This is interesting
How do you pull a good esn into a bad one?
try and ruu first

How do you boot it into recovery?
i read how a bunch of post about master restarting it by
holding the 'home' and 'back key' then pressing the 'power button' once
then clicking the 'center button' but that didnt work.
With the phone powered off, press and hold the home key and turn the phone on. After a few seconds, you should either see a recovery menu, or a picture of a phone with an exclamation point. If it's the phone with an exclamation point, you don't have custom recovery.

Nothing happens its stuck on the HTC boot screen
Try this..
You need to turn the phone off and while it is off hold the volume up button. While holding it down press the power (end call) button. If a screen comes up we can help fix your phone.

<vol down> Hboot mode
<menu> reset device

do you know where to go from here?
Read everything before downloading anything
RUU-ftp://hero:[email protected]/HTC%20Sprint%20Hero%20MR%202.27.651.6.exe
HTC Sync-http://member.america.htc.com/download/Driver/HTC%20Hero%20(Sprint)/HTC_Sync_2.0.40.exe
Android SDK- http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
This is assuming you are running windows.
Download the RUU on your computer. Run the file and follow the directions.
I am not sure if the RUU will install the drivers needed or not. If not, then download HTC sync and install. If at anytime it asks to connect your phone boot into fastboot (volume up and power). Then run the RUU.
If these fail download the Android sdk and follow the steps from their site. We will have to go a different route
I subscribed to the post so I will be notified immediately if you post something.
It failed to install the Sdk. do i just go ahead and try to run the RUU?
or if not im on the website
im downloading the Sdk right now
okay i downloaded everything and when i go on the andriod SDK it fails to download Android sdk

...you don't "install" the SDK. It's a zip files that contain needed tools for commands such as ADB.
Have you attempted to put the phone in Fastboot Mode and running the RUU? I've always found that to do the trick for picky phones.
Try running the RUU first. If it does not work you will need to unzip the android sdk to your c:\ drive. (c:\android-sdk)
But first I would try running the RUU and try and get the phone working

Remove your Micro SD-CARD, and enter in flash mode! Volume down + power on!
Open the Update Phone Utility with the rom of your choice! Remember to rename your rom to: KOVSIMG.nbh
Sorry for English.

Sorry, I tried to connect the x1 to pc..but the pc doesn't recognize the phone..
I looked that the power button have a red light, and when this turn off, it go to bootloader mode, but after few second (it's in update mode) the phone turn off..
Someone has the same problem? I don't know what to do, I'm desperate! I can't use my phone
first remove sd card.
then pull out battery, press power button without battery on phone for about 30 sec.
then place battery. try to hard reset without OS:
press and hold both softkeys of X1, and press power button to turn on phone. but don't release softkeys until appears blue text with white background. slide put keyboard press R, wait to complete then press SPACE.
phone will be hard resetted. if not helped to boot OS, or there's no OS, or you did task29 before then do another task29 after this prosedure.
hope it helps

did you try method that wrote first.
and off course try another usb port, or another usb cable.
because if the phone did'nt recognized by PC, it means there's problem with cable or usb port if other things are OK.

[Q] Freeze and boot stocked

Hey, this is my first post, and i come with a big issue with my HTC One. It's work like a charm, until this evening.
I already flashed two ROM, ARHD 8, 8.1 and 9, without problem, but when i tried to flash 9.1, AROMA freeze. So, no whories, i juste reboot my phone with "adb reboot-bootloader" and did a "fastboot erase cache" and try again. AROMA freeze antoher time (without touching the screen), bad luck i can"t reboot with holding power button. So, again, "adb reboot" (without bootloader this time, it sliped my ming...) and there, it's stock at :
And holding power button don't work (i tried to hold him for 10 minutes...). I tried with adb or fastboot... device not found (logical).
I don't know what to do next, any idea ?
PS : sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand me ^_^
PPS : can't add a link to my photo of the bootscreen, but it's stucked.

you should be fine if the device powers on.
try this download all in one toolkit and erase cache then install custom recovery and boot to recovery and try to flash the rom again in the newly installed recovery

then you have to wait for it to die again then charge. after it charges for a while unplug it turn it on and boot to fastboot and do what i said before.
if your using a touch recovery and flashing a rom that uses aroma only use the hardware buttons(dont touch the screen at all). let it sit on the aroma start screen for at least 5secs. and charge your device enough so you can unplug before you start aroma

Yes, i access to the bootloader. I erase the cache, and wait a bit for resend a recovery (he don't want to write it now, because of low battery)
good. you shouldnt have a problem from here as long as you flashing a zip file thats proven to work for your device
It's possible to send a file from fastboot mode ?
Nevermind, found how to do (thank the manuel ^^)

Please help !! Htc one m7 stuck in boot loop *not rooted*

Hello,
can anyone help me. My HTC phone m7 just had a count down and then shutdown for it self. It then began to reboot over and over and it never gets pass the HTC logo.
I tried:
1. going into the splash screen, but i reboots even when i do that. It happens so quickly i can't select fastboot, factory reset or anything.
2. Holding it close to a bring light and hard reset.
3. Waiting for 48 hours.
4. leaving the battery to drained and then hard reset.
I can't remove the battery. and when ever i put the phone to charge it keeps rebooting over and over.

If it's in bootloader mode it should be fine. In order to run the .exe file your phone must be in bootloader mode. You managed togo into bootloader, so there should be no problem. If that .exe doesn't solve your issue, than it's safe to say it's a hardware issue
