Hi,
I know on the Galaxy S you can increase the volume limit for bluetooth and wired headphones for music playback by going into the service menu using the dialer. But if you change the gain/volume settings they reset when the phone is rebooted. Does anyone know of a firmware/kernel that has these all set to max by default? Music over both bluetooth and wired isn't as loud as I wish it was.

It use to be that my bluetooth (jaw bone) would ignore the volume set on the phone. I've screwed something up by where now if I set the phone to vibrate (consequently turning sound off) the headset turns it's volume down as well. I played with the volume control on the phone and indeed when I move the slider up and down, the bluetooth volume is effect.
I played around with some registry setting I read here that could possibly enhance bluetooth audio quality, but now I've got it like this and it sucks.
Any ideas how to fix this?
I am using the N1 car dock only as a charger/holder for the phone. I am not connecting the N1 to the dock, but rather to the A2DP compliant stereo in my car which I am using for both media and calls.
For some reason when the phone is docked changing the BT in-call volume or media volume does NOTHING. However, when I am not docked but still connected to the stereo, at least lowering the BT media volume lowers the output through the speakers (the in-call volume still doesn't change anything).
This is a problem for me because the in-call volume is quite low compared to the media volume so I always have to pump up the volume to hear properly. The kicker is that upon call disconnection the media starts up again at a MUCH louder volume because I raised it to hear the caller.
1) Does anyone know why the dock disables access to the BT volumes and if there's a way to disable that?
2) Is there another kernel I could flash compatible with the CM7 nightlies to boost the in-call volume?
Thanks a ton!
In short my Bluetooth headset is too loud even with the lowest volume setting. Is there any way to change that? System files to modify....anything? Are there any kernels that allow for that?
Hi,
I'm on VTR-L29C432B123 and looking for a solution to set different volume for sort of apps.
For example, I'm listening to music with Spotify and use Sygic as GPS, both via Bluetooth audio.
The Sygic voice is way too loud when I have the music on a good volume.
In iOS, which I was using for 9 years before I got the P10, it was possible to set the volume for each app by pressing just the volume buttons.
Android just set the Bluetooth-Media volume.
I tried App Volume control to set the volume for sygic a bit lower on Bluetooth, but it sets the whole audio stream on this setting, when I open Sygic.
So, is there any other possible solution for that?
So I use the headphone jack in my car to play music off my note 9. Every time I get in, I turn the volume all the way up on my phone, past the warning, and then control the actual volume with my car's stereo. I have noticed sometimes that when I plug my phone in, the volume differs even though I turn it up to max on my phone. I have noticed sometimes it is louder than usual if I leave the volume the same on my car. Has anyone run into this and know what's going on?
I do have Dolby Atmos turned on. Atmos is set to music preset. It also does it with Dolby Atmos turned off.
I use a Bluetooth remote to control playback. Everytime the remote connects, the volume fluctuates and generally goes back to a quieter setting. Sometimes it stays at a louder setting. Does anyone know why?
Maybe media sync is on; check under settings /connections/Bluetooth/ 3 dot menu/ advanced

I can check, but would that impact anything if the Bluetooth part is just for playback and it has no effect on where audio plays?
