If you go to fring.com and ask for fring for the TB, they will send u a link thru email with the beta version that works with the FFC on the TB. It's version 2459..
Nice, will give this a try.
I just submitted a ticket to Fring, I will report back

Thanks! I had to re-download a few times to get the complete apk. I kept getting parse errors on install, then realized the dl was incomplete (duh). It works! Now I just need friends with ffc's.

me too. Sucks... ffc on Tango isnt working either on Das BAMF rom
Mine FCs as well. Tango will only show one side of the video.

Fc's on TB and my Xoom. Tb running bamf 1.3
for those trying Tango - while you have the other person on video touch the lower left side of the screen to pull up both cameras (FF and vid from friend) and see if that works. I'm on stock rooted so not sure if thats the difference.
Fring FFC worked perfectly for me when i was on "The Perfect Storm" rom. Since i've been using Das BAMF, this force closes on me now too.
I have had no problems with Fring. Did the test call work for you? I am on stock unrooted.
Yea, i'm assuming it's something weird with Adryn's rom. Seems like everyone that has posted about the FC issue has been on Das BAMF.
echo
Any one figure this echo nonsence? No matter weather it is fring or tango or yahoo messenger I get echo. WTF?

Works great .
Works like a charm here in Detroit! My moms reports I'm coming through crystal clear, voice was perfect, her video feed was as good as it gets with her webcam. 8 minute convo battery went from 76% to 71%.
Wondering what kind of havoc it will wreak on the battery if I leave it signed on to skype for a couple hours...
Installed it and it works great! On 3G sadly, but lag seemed to be minimal-to-nonexistant.
oh, plus it rings through just like a regular phone call, which is nice. I texted her to try to reach me to see what happened. Looks/picks up like any other phonecall but then bumps into skype app when you answer. Very nice.
AndroidCentral has a version of Google talk that allows you to video call but you must have gingerbread. Can anyone port this over 2.2 can support it?

Could attempt it on a test build on CM7, works there from what it looks like.
Just wanted to chime in here on the subject.
Did some searching today and it lead me to the threat linked above, downloaded and flashed through rom manager. First boot took a bit longer than it usually does, thought I got stuck in a boot loop. However, I can confirm this works on the lates pre-alpha cm build!
I had to create another google account to test it out, but low and behold it actually works!
I didn't see any other posts in the thunderbolt forum acknowledging this so I thought I would let you all know.
A family member of mine has a stock tbolt and I got the latest BAMF GB Tom on mine. She texted me today and by her info in the text I had the green video camera. I hit it, it called her and I could see and hear her. She doesn't live in a 4g area nor hooked up to wifi at the moment, but for whatever reason, like I said I could see her and hear just fine. So looks like it might work from 2.2 to 2.3 with better circumstances. Hopes this helps.
4Geezy ON DopeDiculous's ROOTED TBeezy!
Did anyone try it out and got it working? I can only get a one way video. I can see the other side, but they cant see me!

I finally got gtalk video and audio working for two way calls on gingerbread
The solution has been out, but I guess I just didn't do a good job of googling. Flash this Google Package File in recovery after wiping cache and davlik.
You can also just read the thread where I got it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056793. The same file is listed under "to install" step#2, Alternate3.
After installing this, my Gmail app was missing so I installed it from the market. I had to install the thing twice before it finally worked b/c it force closed on me with the first install.
I haven't tested the calls on wifi yet, but it was clear on 3g. Only gripe I have is that the camera view is rotated.

It does work. What I had to do was find the flashable gtalk2.3.4 I tried all the other versions but nine supported video. I guess I could also dropbox it for you all

Good....the one thing is apparently you will appear sideways when using video chat. I noticed that I was sideways in the window, but thought it was ok on the other persons screen
It installed no problem, and I can confirm the orientation issue. Haven't had a chance to try an actual call yet, though. Hopefully I can give that a whirl tomorrow.

New to the TB, and I've seen a couple references to a kernel specific call recording feature. Was wondering if this is an app, cooked into roms, or what?

Running 2.0-5 now. So I imagine it would be included if supported. May just have to wait then, I'm liking 5
It was only in the froyo bamf. I too am anxious to see it in the gb ones. Going thru a divorce and it has come in handy lately.

All you guys have to do is download DreamKernel for Sense and you will have call recorder back
I installed Dreamkernel for Sense 2.0.3 beta. I also ran fix perms from CWR and from Rom Mgr and I still get FC's. The error msg is Sorry the application CallRecorder(process com.skvalex.callrecorder) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Anyone?
