I really wanted it but then, I am thinking do I want a case with a stand? What do you guys think? I am not sure how often I would use it anyway. I use my nook a lot in bed and on the couch and at work.
I saw this which zippers... http://www.amazon.com/rooCASE-Executive-Leather-Portfolio-NOOKcolor/dp/B004LECLV2/ref=pd_sim_e_6

I think that made my mind up. The other case just seems too cheap.

As soon as I saw it was $40 I was sold, considering some of the negative things I have heard about the roo case this was an easy decision

The only thing i SD card access, but I am thinking once I get a ROM i like I won't be accessing as much.

You could always cut a small opening to access the sd card slot. might need some careful cuts but if you took your time it would look ok.

On the way!
Thanks for the tip huntman21014! Mine is on the way.

This would rock so hard if it had a kickstand. It would be cool to have this propped up next to my T-bolt.

+1, I have a standalone otterbox stand I got at MacWorld, maybe that will work. Its can fold flat. I want to try playing snes roms.

Call me negative but isn't this a bit overkill for a device like this?

The way I look at it is I use it a lot and it isnt much more than most of te other good cases. Especially since I got it for $40 shipped.

I suppose. Just seems to add so much bulk to it and not even provide a stand to view in landscape .....
To each their own.
Have friends with big otterbox cases on their iPhones make them look like bricks. Hides the beauty of the underlying design

I couldn't decide so who knows I might not like it. I didn't think I would prop it up much but now with bluetooth and the ends emulator who knows lol.
I see the galaxy tab in coming down in price, darn. Wonder if there are more cases for it than the nook.

Has anyone received the otterbox case yet? I ordered mine on the 4th and its scheduled to be delivered the 15th!! talk about SLOW SHIPPING!!!!
I didn't order enough to get free shipping I had to pay for shipping. 11 days is extremely long shipping time for something thats a regular size package

I got mine on Friday, the 7th. I like it, but it has the silicon that gets lint stuck to it, but overall its great, doesn't add bulk to it and comes with screen protects that I haven't put on yet.
What shipping method did you use? I used the Fedex smart thingy where they use the local USPS to deliver to your door. It got here a day earlier than it said it would, which was a good thing as I needed for the weekend trip. It did take awhile but I think Fedex just sucks.

You can hang or sit your nook from/on just about anything with that. Plus you can use it to wrap around your hand when your holding it. The non-tablet version works fine. I just got one last week, and I haven't been without it since.

It's still pretty awesome and versatile. It's also slim enough that I never have to take it off, so I always have a stand.

Nice, like that it fits a leg, but its almost as big as the nook itself. Not great for travel.
I have the Arkon and love it.
has anyone checked out the OEM one from b&n?? saw it in store the other day but didnt open the box to see how it performed or how compact it was.....cant even find it online either so thats odd
If your debating on ordering the Arkon, get it! I use it while watching movies on my Nook and I love it.

Very doubtful considering it was designed for thicker tablets like the Xoom, Galaxy, G-tab, etc.
It can also be adjusted to many different positions to counteract any stability issues you might have. I believe the Amazon link shows a Nook with case on it.
This stand is pretty good. My only complaint is that in portrait mode I can't figure a way to have it charge at the same time as using it. Other than that the stand is perfect!

It's a tough one. I'd like a case, but I don't want the T-Mobile Folio case since it's not a good fit by all accounts. At the same time, I don't want to get this one if it's a POS, too. For instance, it looks like it doesn't completely fold out. But, for $10, I might just have to.

Well I got mine yesterday and for 10 bucks I think its awesome. It fits very snug and I can reach all the buttons with ease.
The only thing I can complain about is the piece of leather that goes around the screen kinda bows up a little bit but that may be cause its so new and just needs to break in a little bit.

Doing pretty well
I have been using the case for a while now. I still like it, but it does slide a bit left to right. So for example if I wanted to use the camera (which I don't), I might have to position the device a bit to make sure the holes aligned.
Still can't beat it for the price...
I just picked it up, unfortunately not for $15 but for $25. For $15 I'd be happy, but it does not fit as snug as I'd like. I think it's going back, and I'm going to bite the bullet on the dell rotating case. Now if they can just do free shipping again.

My Nexus 7 Accessories Order :)

I got this case-

and this screen protector-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008EO263I/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01
They'll both be here Monday, which is when my Nexus 7 (16 GB) will be delivered too. I have and have had products from both Moko and ArmorShield, and both are excellent quality.
I think I'm going to buy that case. For $6.99, it will hold me over until a better one comes around. I don't like it for permanent use.
I do want a screen protector too, but I only want the non-spray self-sticking (static cling?) ones. I bought one of those for my wife's iPad and it worked great. I bought a spray-and-stick one for my SGT8.9, and it sucked (Zag).

Well, MoKo makes good stuff, it should last a while, I think they are just doing the deep discount to get in on the Nexus 7 frenzy. I agree on the Zagg's, I don't like them either, but ArmorShield, Skinomi and BodyGuardz are all good ones, they all make dry apply and wet apply. I usually go for dry apply on phones, like my Galaxy Note i717, but on bigger things like tablets the wet apply ones are easier to install and work with, at least for me. The ArmorShield's are really thin, don't yellow and are not sticky like the Zagg's, which is one reason why I dislike Zaggs too.

I ordered the case a few days ago and already got it. It's actually quite nice and more indicative of its real price and not the $7 I paid for it.
I ordered a moko one that has the magnetic sleep/wake function. Sort of a gamble because there is only one pic, but it looks like it can function as a stand as well.

Update-Yep
Dear buyer:
Sorry for another intrusion but we just came across this report and
thought we have to share it with you:
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/White-Nexus-7-Case-Stain-Clean-Black-Nexus-7,16302.html
With the same porous plastic material, we are concerned that the black
back on the retail version could also be susceptible to dye to some
extend. It may be embarrassing but we have to admit that we did not
have this issue in mind when our fist batch of Nexus cases was made.
Although the case has NOT left any mark on neither of the white or
black Nexus 7 we have after a short period of normal use, we would
rather be overcautious and have more intensive tests done before we
can comfortably let you use the case, even as a temporary solution. We
definitely could not afford to have you as beta-testers on this issue
with your brand new tablets and would suggest you hold off using the
case until you get further confirmation from us or a replacement case,
hopefully within 5-7 days. You can be assured all our future shipments
will be fully compatible with Auto wake/sleep feature and free of any
staining problems guaranteed. You will get to choose any style you
prefer from our whole selection of Nexus cases as the free
replacement.
I understand most of you will get your Nexus 7 today and I am really
sorry to disappoint you with this message but please do excise caution
if you have to use something else on your Nexus. Again, I apologize
for the inconvenience and would appreciate your understanding and
patience in this process of getting the right protection for your
Neuxs. This is what we do and we will do it right for you.
Please also let us know if you have any comments or suggestions. Thanks, Jim
WOW, I don't think I've had such good customer service, at least not that I can remember! Most companies would be like "Oh, sorry about that case we sent you last month, it probably left marks allover your device, sorry, but we can't do anything".

I know, I'm shocked too. Question: you just ordered the one case in your OP, right?
I ask because I ordered TWO cases from this seller. The one you did, plus the $12.99 smart case they came out with on Sunday. I wanted to make sure that this email was about the first case, not the second one (or both).
I am really shocked that they would have gone so far to help their customers for something that cost $6.99 shipped. I was actually going to return that case, since I got the better one, but I think I'm going to keep it just out of support of the seller.

I had this last week in my cart, asked Alex at blurex about color options, he said any color I like as long as it's black. Went to make the buy and there suddenly weren't any in stock. Alex sends me another note telling me he took them off because of the sleep/wake issues when folding the cover back. Today checked again and it was back in stock but at double the price..
Much appreciated. Just ordered. $5 off, hard to say no when it cost $12 shipped int he first place. Probably not my final case, but a good standby till the case makers get in their groove.
Just ordered one as well. What a steal!!!!!!
Just jumped on the "I ordered one" wagon as well.
By the looks of the screenshot, it looks like it's notched out to pivot in place when angling in landscape mode. I hope this is the case with the actual unit. Some quick reviews I looked at suggested instead of it being notched out that it actually had velcro on it. I can't say I'm a huge fan of velcro, since continual usage would of course wear it out. At any rate, a steal for the price, but let's hope for a little more while we're at it. :good:

Much appreciated. Just ordered. $5 off, hard to say no when it cost $12 shipped int he first place. Probably not my final case, but a good standby till the case makers get in their groove.

Ditto
damn, my poetic case which is just like this shipped today. too late to cancel that, paid 2x more
Still works with code, just ordered one!! Thank OP
Just ordered one, looks like everything is exposed (unlike some cases). As long as it folds back 180 degrees and is comfortable to hold, I'll be happy.
Just ordered mine as well. Coupon is still working as of this post. Good looking out OP!
does this case have a slit in the back for the speaker?

Great price, thanks for the coupon code OP.
Went to make the buy and there suddenly weren't any in stock. Alex sends me another note telling me he took them off because of the sleep/wake issues when folding the cover back. Today checked again and it was back in stock but at double the price..

So I assume this case has an issue in that if you fold it back it turns the device off. Has this now been resolved?
just ordered as well. I was pretty pissed when I missed the $5 price. thanks, op

FlyGrip a necessity?

I am surprised no one has posted about this as of yet.
QBKing77's youtube channel has a video review of this "contraption".
Currently there is a deal where you get a free TPU case (i think thats what it is called) with the purchase of a $30 FlyGrip.
He also mentions how you get a discount by using his name at the checkout.
I am almost convinced to get one, but would like your input on this.
Check out this video where he discusses the flygrip (somewhere in there).

I just purchased one. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for sharing, looks like a great idea
Not sure if it would add too much bulk
Pricing with shippingmmakes it quite expensive for us international buyers
I've been using it for about a week now, and haven't regretted that decision. It's definitely a must if you're using your N2 a lot with single hand. I'm still waiting for Aduro case to release their awesome kickstand case that they had for the GSIII:
Aduro Case
And no, it doesn't add much bulk at all.

The Aduro case looks pretty neat. I might hold off to get one. Is it going to be as cheap like for the GS3? Around $15?
Man that fly grips looks pretty cool anybody get one yet? Its kind of cool how the CEO makes his own youtube video and enter acts with the customers. I just ordered one yesterday and got my shipping confirmation today. I think it will be a great addition to the GN2.

I would love to hear from you! I need someone to convince me into getting this, its just that $30 doesnt seem to worth it...
I've been on the fence with this since i saw a video review of these a few weeks ago. I am horrible about ordering things online. I search the heck out of them and then never buy anything. I really like to see things in person.
I really like the idea though. Seems like it would really make the phone more comfortable for me. I have the flip cover and i usually have one finger between it and the back of my phone which gives me a pretty secure grip but after a few minutes my poor finger starts to feel smashed back there.
Maybe i should just break down and go for it. I could use the free case for testing the mod for using a tpu case with the flip cover.
So indecisive....

Too bad they had super expensive shipping to Sweden
Sent from a big Note 2
I got one. The guy is real easy to deal with. I had to swap mine from white to black since Tmobile had no white Note2s. He did it without issue. I carried my phone for a week w/o the clip and now about a week with the clip. I find its a nice bonus. I mostly use it when I'm relaxing and holding the phone at odd angles. Its great for that, very secure. In day to day use I don't really use it since my TPU case has really good grip already.
I had my phone for almost a week before I got my flygrip. In my opinion it makes the phone much easier to use one handed. I have maybe slightly above average hands and I can reach the whole screen easier with it. The stand feature is very nice too. I have mine on a body glove and feel extremely confident I have a very secure grip on my phone when using it. Weird angle gripping is much easier as well. I would recommend one for the GNII 100%

What time curious about is how easy it is to transfer between cases or devices. I saw a video of somebody removing the FlyGrip and it looked to be some super adhesive material.
How resuable is it exactly?
Edit: Took a closer look and looks like you could grab a pack of 3 replacement adhesives. Was really excited for it despite the price since you could say it's justified with the TPU case throw in....but unfortunately the shipping code "QBKING77" is limited only to the States. Really disappointed since I'll have to pass just based on the shipping costs.

I had one on my Sensation, and am awaiting new adhesive, but I LOVE my Flygrip. Thing is simply amazing. I didn't think that I would get 30 bucks worth out of thin cheap plastic, but I've been sorely tempted to pickup a second one for my tablet. Also, they have pretty good customer support, I've called three times, and it's always the same guy that answers. I actually prefer this to the kickstand cases because of the one handed grip support. I can't text on my bike without it, especially with this phone. I'll upload a couple pictures as soon as I get my sticky backs

I just took mine off of my Sensation, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It took some forcing to actually begin to remove it, as it is really pretty damn strong, but once I got it separated from the old case it was simple enough to just rub the remaining residue away. It does leave a very clean rectangle on whatever case you put it on after removal lol.

So emailed FlyGrip with some questions. Response was very quick, not to mention a nice surprise with the great customer service!
" .... Additional tape provided”, are there extra adhesive tapes in each FlyGrip package? Or that we would have to buy the pack of 3 if we were interested in replacements?

Flygrip comes with (1) extra adhesive. So after you remove it, you can put the new adhesive on.* "Some" people try using the existing adhesive.* It depends on how sticky it still is.* We recommend to use a new one, but sometimes the adhesive is sticky enough to reuse.* We sell (3) packs for $2.47.
*
Also, a shot in the dark but I'm wondering if you do happen to have any promotions going on for international shipping (namely to Canada) as the FlyGrip was something I was immediately excited for, only to see the cost of shipping.

I asked my manager. You can USE "INTL5" as a code, to receive $5 off shipping.

Tl;dr Each FlyGrip has one extra adhesive, and use INTL5 for $5 off international shipping.

Looks great but $30 is a lot for what it is. I'll wait for the cheap eBay HK version
Love my FlyGrip. I enjoy knowing I'm not going to drop the phone, but I really purchased it because I'm an ex-EVO user and knew I'd miss the kickstand. I use it as a kickstand whenever the phone isn't in my pocket. Right now I'm using the free case that was included, but I'll take it off in a few weeks. I usually don't go for bold colors, but got the blue kickstand and a royal blue case. Nice looking.
He has lots of videos on the site to help with making a decision. Oh, no, it doesn't add bulk, it's only 1/4" deep. USA made and the packaging is very good looking, would make a great gift.
I think it's a smarter decision to look at these.
Amazon Wisefinger Options
Much cheaper, and they look more versatile.
