Hello, I have flashed my branded US T-Mobile HD 7 to the TELSTRA NoDo one and now I would like to go back to the pre-Nodo stock rom. Are there any stock roms out there or is there an official way to do this? I would like to do in order to try to receive the official NoDo update from T-Mobile.
Thank you
i did the same so download this RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_1.54.531.02_Radio_5.51.09.29a_22.32.50.10U_by_ansar
just search for that file name and your phone will nodo update after you flash it
Thanks!
Thank you so much for this! Flashing that ROM worked perfectly. I am now able to install the official Tmo NoDo.

if you want your phone unlocked you should unlock it before you update to nodo i dont htink you cna unlock after the update but if you do it fefore you update it it will stay unlocked after nodo
What do you mean by unlocked?
Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by unlocked? Unlocked to use on a different carrier or to side-load apps?

Does anyone know how i can get froyo on my phone with the EPF21B build? Could i change to the ERE27 build WITHOUT rooting my phone? Or flash pauls version through the stock recovery image, without voiding my warranty? Thanks for any help
same problem.
my phone is EPE54B
HELP!!!
Gotta root until Google sort it out I'm afraid.
I have ERE36B with locked bootloader. Can I just update or do I need another update file?
You're on an awkward build... I very much doubt there will be an upgrade path for you.
You will most likely need to flash a mainstream PASSIMG.ZIP (AT&T EPE54B or Vodafone EPF21B) and update from that when Google release one.

Edit: Actually, maybe you should listen to him. After clarification it seems that there were un-original roms out in the wild that didn't need an unlocked bootloader. If you updated to that ROM yourself, even without unlocking then you may not see an upgrade at all.
Old post below for continuity's sake.
--------
Don't listen to him. It seems he is telling you that you will need to unlock to upgrade. If you aren't going to unlock yet, just wait, there will be an OTA update for you too, you just have to wait for Google to send it out.
Google will not force you to unlock your phone.
Is there a way to go back to ere27 so i can update now, without unocking?
Dont mind if i have to do a factory reset or something like that

EPF21B is the official euro shipping ROM.
You can't change it back to ERE27 without unlocking the phone, period.
If you don't want to unlock, you'll have to wait until Google issues the OTA for the official euro phones.

Thanks for that completely incorrect post.
I am not telling you to unlock, both can be flashed in the same way you flashed ERE36B as they are official released images.
As ERE36B is a release that shouldn't be out in the field, I doubt an update will be made for it.
So, since I am not on Vodafone or AT&T, what should I update to? AT&T EPE54B or Vodafone EPF21B?
There has to be a way to restore the phone to factory state and factory ROM?

Sorry about that, it seemed to me that you were telling him he would never get an update without unlocking. But he did mention that he was still locked and had that release. I don't know how he got that one, but if he is truly locked wouldn't it make sense that Google knows of the phones out there with that version?
I still don't think it would make sense for Google to not give those phones an update, and to force them to unlock to upgrade.
Am I missing something important here that's really messing up my understanding?

Except that the factory ROM is different from one to another.
Tmobile factory ROM : ERD79 (which can then be updated to ERE27).
ATT factory ROM : not sure but the one before EPE54B
Europe factory ROM : EPF21B.

I think so.
There are certain ROMs that were leaked, these can be installed without unlocking the bootloader as they are release signed. No phone sent out by Google came with ERE36B, you had to install it yourself. There is also no way back to stock ERE27 without unlocking the bootloader.
My reckoning is that as this particluar ROM isn't meant to be in use by the public an upgrade path is unlikely, hence the advice to flash to a 'legitimate' release image (no unlock necessary) which will definitely be upgradable.

Thanks for explaining. I'll go edit my original post.
Thanks Rusty. What rom should i update to then? Is there another rom i can downgrade from, or is it generally impossible to go to an older rom with locked bootloader?
Can't go older unfortunately, else it would be a no-brainer.
As for which one, I doubt it matters, but I would expect EPE54B to be the next updated.

Doesn't work, cancels installation when it doesn't find the right signature.
yeh, tried that, Wont work with locked bootloader. Tried all ERE27 images, renamed to either passimg.zip or update.zip, and same for all frf50.. Only one thing left to do i guess, and that is wait.
Having the Same Problem,
Hi, I have a Nexus One from Vodafone, and have unlocked it, however, I still can't get it to update to Froyo FRF50 so I can then further upgrade it, I am currently on build EPF21B which I think Vodafone have mucked around with, because I have just updated a Friends Nexus Manually with the same file not problems, mine keeps coming up with, first:
Froyo+E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
Then fails on this:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
Can any of you kind people out there confirm that there is something slightly odd about the stock Vodafone ROM,
Thanks for your time in this matter, I assure you that it is deeply appreciated
Kind Regards - Ashe
Somehow my backup from premango got lost... i have no idea and im past that ....
I am running a locked HD7 from Tmobile using 7712 which I update through zune. I want to get back to a stock ROM so when Mango is released over zune I will be able to get it over zune. Where do I go from here?
BTW... on the update tab on zune, all it says is that my phone is up to date and there is no button there that says "restore".
Use RSPL to put your phone into a state where you can flash any ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
Then flash this ROM (seems to be the most recent T-Mobile one - Build 7392):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1183891
I don't know if there are any generic US ROMs that you could use. It would get rid of any T-Mobile branding, but I don't think it would unlock it for you.
Alternately, you could follow one of the many guides that will let you update 7712 to 7720 (RTM). The RTM should receive official updates from HTC once they've release their official Mango firmware.
Currently I am at 7712 and locked. How would I get to 7720 RTM and be unlocked? I saw that in the link you posted if you are currently unlocked you can stay unlocked when going to 7720 but you have to be previously unlocked. So what ROM should I flash to in order to unlock my phone? And then move along to 7720?

Are you talking about a carrier lock or a developer lock? I don't believe flashing any ROM will remove a carrier lock. You usually have to pay to get a code and unlock it that way, though I could easily be wrong. Hopefully someone else can clarify.
When I say locked I mean the opposite of a chevron unlock. So im not able to side load apps
You can flash one of ansar's Custom ROMs that is all unlocked by default.
Or you can go back to 7392/7390 and apply Chevron by yourself. You can follow this thread to keep all unlocked during updates and reach finally 7720.
Or you can stay at 7392 (locked/unlocked) and wait for official Mango.
Regards,
Cina.
If I start with ansar's ROM will I be able to follow that (staying unlocked) to RTM Mango?
Ok, so pretty everyone here has heard of the supposedly upcoming jellybean update as well as an incoming bootloader unlock for euro open O4Xs. I bought this phone unlocked from amazon. Bottom line- it has a Taiwan branded stock rom on it. Does anyone think there'll possibly be a chance I will have my bootloader unlocked too or should I just not get my hopes up?
Anyone?

Hi all,
I'm wanting to flash my HTC one 32gb, UK Three network, with the international software so I can receive updates much quicker rather than waiting for my carrier to approve them as well.
First off will I need S-off for this to work because of the carrier lock? I've only ever had unlocked phones before, when I have rooted them. Also what are the best tools for the job? I am looking for that lastest stock international stock ROM that I can root. I'm fine with command line tools like; fastboot, adb ect. Been off the rooting scene in a while since I had a galaxy nexus, with its unlock boot loader option
Thanks.

This is your best option for rooting
You can't have s-off yet not done yet

Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
So how can I unlock the boot loader so I can flash a custom recovery? I do not have the option of going to fastboot and unlocking it like on the nexus. Also mine is a carrier version so i assume I cannot unlock the bootloader from the HTC dev site.

Thanks guys I've done it! Unlocked it the via the HTC dev site and flashed the clockwork mod recovery, then flashed the latest stock ROM. So now I should not have to wait for my network carrier to deliver the updates. Did it on my macbook using fastboot and adb.
So for future reference for anyone else;
HTC one on carrier Three UK, flashed with latest stock ROM with no problems.
No need for S-off either.

That is where you might have troubles. Because the OTA updates will still look at your CID and if your CID doesn't match up (which it won't) because the update is for the CID in the UK region and your CID is for example the Australian region then the update won't install.

Hi, can i ask where you got the Stock ROM from? I rooted mine the other day, then decided i wanted to unroot it, and in trying to do so I ended up using the wrong RUU and now the Wifi and Camera dont work. I am an idiot.
So ive decided ill settle for a stock ROM for now until someone comes along with the UK Three RUU.
Thanks in advance
hi
i bought a verizon htc one and am using it in the simple mobile prepaid network. its on android 4.2.2 with software number 1.10.605.10. since i dont have a verizon sim it wont update to the latest jellybean ota. my questions
1) how should i start off rooting and s off it
i was thinking rumrunner----> change the tampered to unlocked-----> flash recovery twrp-----> flash stock +su
2) in the end i want the stock android 4.4 with sense 5.5 rom, the unlocked version
so should i first flash verizon software 2.10.605.10 ------> update the firmware via fastboot-------> flash the stock 4.4 unlocked edition rom
3)if i flash the verizon 2.10.605.10 will i lose touch control when coming from 1.10.605.10? then how will i be able to get to fastboot to flash firmware? or should i flash the firmware first then the rom?
4) can i flash the android 4.4 sense 5.5 rom for unlocked htc one taken from http://htconeroot.com/htc-one-stock-roms/android-4-4-kitkat-sense-5-5-stock-rom-for-htc-one/ . will it work in my phone?. i am not using verizon sim.
5) if i need to return my phone for warranty and need to be back in stock 1.10.605.10. how should i go about it?
is it
change from unlocked to locked ----> flash the ruu as rom.zip ------> change to s-on.
if i follow that method where do i get the 1.10.605.10 rom is it from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=248531 ?/
also if i flash the 1.10.605.10 rom, how will i flash the firmware back, since the newest firmware wont work on the old rom?
please do give me a reply. i have been searching the forums for replies and its all confusing.
thanks a lot

I don't know about the verizon variant but here for the international variant you need to be bootloader unlocked and rooted to s-off with rumrunner. Maybe your version of rumrunner are using an exploit that can achieve s-off without unlocking bootloader, idk.
and for the others questions, unfortunately, I'll says just wait for someone else to jump in this thread because im not familiar with the verizon variant.
