Hi.
I have purchased a wireless keyboard from Ace(of Sweeden), the Ace C5 for use with the Adam. It works, I can type, use the trackball etc.
I come from Denmark and the Danish language has three special letters: æ ø å - now the keyboard does support these letters (and other scandinavien letters) and it seems to work on a standard pc.
The issue is that Adam via wireless keyboard does not support these letters. I´ve tried another wireless keyboard and the outcome is the same, no æøå.
Since Adam support these letters via virtual keyboard I suspect it´s a driver issue?
Anyone who can help out with this issue? I would be grateful.

Yes, I am sure the character issue is software related.
Tell me, what OS are you using, e.g., plain Eden or EdenX? Rooted or not? I have tried everything (nearly) and if all it takes is an Ace keyboard ... what makes it so different to Logitech or Apple Wireless, which do NOT work?
Looks like an Ace C5 ... 267x130x20.

Thank you for your answer.
Regarding OS I have been using the beast rom and vegan rom with this keyboard. I have not used it with Eden nor EdenX. Somehow I think it makes no different to try it with Eden(X)..?
When you mention Logitech and Apple are those bluetooth devices? Ace C5 is not bluetooth.
The size of this keayboard is great, same width as Adam and same color. It's great to write on too, except from the missing letters.

I just started playing with FFF. Very friendly . Even though I have a keyboard on my Kaiser, I'd love to have an FFF-style keyboard for the screen. I know there have been requests to the author of FFF, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen something close to this concept in a keyboard.
Thanks in advance.

HTC Touch Keyboard + Keypad probably the closest. See Latest Cabs thread.

I looked at that. Lots of issues... Maybe a future version.
Thanks for your reply.
Same here, the HTC keyboard/keypad was looking great, but still far from perfectly usable.
So I keep PocketCM as my preferred one :

The keys look too small for my stubby fingers. That's the beauty of FFF; I can use it!
Have you tried TouchPal?
-Bob-
I had a Vodafone branded Universal for a few days, and it had a T9 / FFF ish keyboard plugin. It was awesome but I never did work out what it was.
If we could get that cab file, I think it would satisfy a lot of people's needs.

Go to www.cootek.com. It's free until 8th December and it's probably what you're looking for.
It's free... But very limited... (to QWERTY ie.)
The concept seems interesting, but with no intl support it's a full stop for me.
Of all the SIP's I have tried so far, Cootek's TouchPal in my opinion is the most Impressive and efficient so far. You need a bit of practice though.
In fact over time I find that I am relying less and less on the built in mechanical slide out keyboard of my TyTn II.
Just my opinion

I got one today. It's very good quality, about the same size as the keyboard on a netbook (my 9" screen one), and has a built in mouse thingy (although at present mouse isn't too well support on the Streak).
The screenprinted layout is wrong in a couple of places (@, " etc are in the wrong places) but if you're looking for a good usable bluetooth keyboard this is the one.
£40 is a bit steep though...
I just bought a bluetooth keyboard yesterday. it's the silicon roll-up type, full sized, for about USD 20. It works really well

Can you type more quickly on this keyboard than on the on-screen one? Or swype (if you have it)?

I've brought a silicon roll-up type (normal usb though) but gave up with it as I've had 2 now (replacements) from the same seller and they both still have some buttons that don't function
usb.brando.com has a nice variety or wireless and bluetooth keyboard.
Fullsize and mini, keyboard only, w/trackpad and w/trackball. Actually picked up this one for HTPC use.
It's led backlit w/built in rechargeable batteryl. Aslo has a built in laser pointer.

I'm sure some may like to use them for their streak aswell. Take a look.

Sorry to bring this up again. I bought the DSI Keyboard (same as the OP but different brand) this keyboard works OK, just OK, mouse pointer does not show on streak as opposed to pairing a mouse, mouse works but you just CAN'T see any pointer (Rolling on Steve's 1.1.1). They keys on the keyboard are aligned in a square GRID, not a usual keyboard layout, what I'm trying to say is that the letter C is directly under the D since the rows don't have the offset the letter C must be typed with the same finger as letter D wich I believe no one uses... So it's kinda weird, can type somewhat faster than on screen keyboard. At some points I beleive that I can type faster with swype but don't really know. I bought it for an HTPC mainly its not that I use it everyday
So other than changing the colour scheme around a little. Do we know what actual changes there are in Gingerbread for the SGT? (And I mean actual changes, not just subjective ones)
Edit: Found a good list of the generic 2.3 changes here - if SIP support works on the SGT then that would be a big deal for me. Be nice to know what SGT-specific changes (if any) there have been.
In terms of actual features specific to the tab... I've found one:

As far as I know, this wasn't here before - now you can actually control playback of the stock Samsung Music player from the notification drawer!
I'm hoping for a way to recalibrate the accelerometers/gyro. Mine is badly out of whack.

I actually have this already on my Froyo GT (stock Japanese ROM)...
Samsung is really doing a good job getting this update out
you can do this unter "einstellungen/anzeige/horizontale kalibrierung"
in english it should be smth like "settings/display/horizontal calibration"

Thanks for this - I didn't have this on my stock GT-P1000T (Telstra Australia ROM).

Like the title says, I have an AT&T P1000. Awhile ago I flashed and have been running Overcome 4.1.0 so obviously I have CW Recovery.
1. What do I need to do to flash an ICS or higher ROM?
2. Which ICS or higher ROM uses the hardware buttons on the bottom INSTEAD of soft keys on the screen? I know the HTC One X comes with ICS and uses hardware buttons instead of softkeys.
Basically this Overcome installation's BT doesn't work all that well, sometimes it sees devices, sometimes not. Also I'd like to be able to use Chrome browser so ICS and up makes more sense. Looking for something lean, mean, and trouble-free as much as possible (especially BT). Using my GT in my car with Torque app an OBD2 BT adapter so need RELIABLE BT.
Thanks in advance, I hope someone can point me in the right direction... I've never been all that good at this stuff.
If on overcome, you can try redpill kernel. It is compatible with overcome ROM.
Its BT might be better.
If flashing ICS or JB from cwm, just download the ROM and gapps and flash.
But you need to flash the ROM a few times, as each times it does different things. Watch the output message, you will know what it does.
I am on AOKP JB.
I can turn off soft button anytime.

So when you say you can turn off soft button, does this mean you can remove it from the screen and only use hardware? Does this mean it puts taskbar at the top like HTC One X?
Maybe I just screenshot it.

Hey guys,
I have a new Hyundai Ioniq electric 2020 and they upgraded the screen to an 10.5" wide screen. However AA still only uses the left part, the right part being wasted with just the AA logo, like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is there any way at all to make AA take up the whole screen ?
Thanks.
That's got nothing to do with wireless. It's all about the screen size the car reports to AA. Ones which do it properly work as expected. Ones that don't are like that. Daimler (Mercedes Benz) had/has a similar issue. AA does support widescreen.

Change DPI and resolution. Try some different values.
Good luck.

Yes I screwed up the title, meant to say "widescreen" not "wireless". Can't seem to edit the title though.
